MUMBAI: Partho Ghosh , who deliveredengrossing thrillers such as '100 Days' and 'Agnisakshi' and became a soughtafter Bollywood director in the 1990s, passed away in his Madh Island residence on Monday. He was 76. '100 Days' (1991) had its roots in the Italian film 'Sette Note In Nero' (1977) and 'Agnisakshi' (1996) in the Hollywood thriller 'Sleeping with the Enemy' (1991). But Ghosh, who had a flair for creating narrative tension, flavoured and localised them with the needs and demands of the 1990s audience. Both were box-office hits. 'Dalaal' (1993), starring Mithun Chakraborty and Ayesha Julka, was another major box-office winner. He also helmed murder mysteries such as 'Teesra Kaun?'
