Fresh renders of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 surface

The downside to a thinner Galaxy Z Fold 7 handset is that the three rear cameras on the back of the device are now protruding greatly. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 might be thinner, but it appears that Sammy is taking a page from rival foldable makers OnePlus and Google and will make the next iteration of its Galaxy Z Fold wider. That same leak telling us to expect the phone to weigh in at 3.9mm thin also mentioned that it could be more than 10mm wider compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Latest leaked renders of the Samsung Galaxy Z 7 Fold. | Image credit-Android Headlines, 9to5Google Samsung is expected to introduce the Galaxy Z Fold 7 alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Watch 8 series on July 9th in New York City. Just today we passed along some news that some might find disappointing. A tweet from @PandaFlashPro on Thursday said that his sources told him that the upcoming foldable will not have an under-display camera (UDC) like the Galaxy Z Fold 6 did. Most likely, the poor quality of the pictures taken with this setup had Samsung deciding to return to the punch hole camera for the internal display. The thin design of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 makes the rear cameras protrude. | Image credit-Android Headlines, 9to5Google We expect the internal Dynamic AMOLED screen to weigh in at 7 inches when open. It should feature an 1856 x 2160 resolution and sport a 120Hz refresh rate. The Dynamic AMOLED cover screen will reportedly measure 6.3 inches with a resolution of 968 x 2376, carry a 120Hz refresh rate, and feature scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Under the hood, the device is expected to be powered by the 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy application processor. The camera array on the back should include a 50 MP primary camera, a 12MP telephoto camera, and a 10 MP telephoto camera. The rumor mill calls for the device to come with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM along with 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. Android 15 will be pre-installed and keeping the lights on should be a 4400mAh battery with 25W Wired charging and 15W Wireless charging. The color options seen in the renders include "Blue Shadow" and a black hue. Secure your connection now at a bargain price! Massive Samsung leak tips Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 features — here's what we could see at Unpacked

Samsung's next foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, are likely to launch in the next month. With that leaks and rumors are still popping up sharing new claims about what we can expect from the Korean tech giant. While it's not specifically a list of specs, regular tipster PandaFlashPro posted on X a number of features that Samsung might showcase during the expect July Galaxy Unpacked event. Read on for five things Samsung could highlight next month from an improved camera to better AI. Apparently, Samsung is going to spend a good chunk of the next Unpacked discussing Google's Gemini AI model and how it integrates with the Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. One of the highlights could be "Gemini Live," which lets you speak with the chatbot. You can also use your camera to "see" things or images and files as prompts for Gemini. Gemini and Gemini Live already exist for Pixel phones and in some manner on the Galaxy S25 series. It's possibly we could see new Gemini tools built-in to Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7. If nothing new is announced than we expect Samsung will likely pitch how well Gemini Live should work on its foldable phones. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. Additionally, the leaker claims Samsung will highlight Galaxy AI generative edits and Now Brief, introduced in One UI 7 that sends you personalized notifications throughout the day. According to PandaFlash, Samsung won't be sharing too much about the camera set up on the new phones. However, they do note that there will be a 200MP main camera that Samsung should highlight. This does align with previous rumors that the Z Fold 7 will get the same 200MP lens as the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. That's a major upgrade over the 50MP camera in the Z Fold 6. Alongside a new camera, Samsung will apparently discuss a next generation Pro-Visual engine and "log video." It's not clear if this is an update to the suite of AI tools that enables things like zooms at night and making sharper images. Samsung has highlighted how much thinner and lighter its phones are this year and the foldables will not be an exception. The company should also discuss the "all-new" ultra-thin glass used in the display. Earlier this month, Samsung promised, "the thinnest, lightest and most advanced foldable yet." Like the Z Fold 6 compared to its predecessor, the Z Fold 7 should come with a larger 8-inch foldable display, plus a 6.5-inch cover screen. That would be the second year in a row that the company has increased the size of the foldable. Late last week, regular Samsung leaker Ice Universe posted on Weibo that the Z Fold 7 will weigh 215 grams (or about 7.5 oz) which is about 3 grams less than Galaxy S25 Ultra (or one ounce less). That weight should be more noticeable compared to the Z Fold 6, which weighs 8.4 oz (239 grams). There are different rumors about the actual thinness of the Z Fold 7 with some claiming it will be 4.5mm when unfolded. However, different reports suggest the phone will be even slimmer at 3.9mm. According to PandaFlash, don't expect much from Samsung regarding the clamshell foldable Z Flip 7. They said that the Samsung will only mention improved photo quality, a larger cover display and new cases. We've seen rumors that the Flip 7 could have the same cameras as those in the Z Flip 6. So any improvements will likely come from the upgraded ProVisual engine and other software updates. We have seen rumors that the main screen will increase slightly in size with the cover display leaping from 3.4 inches to 4 inches. Which would fit with new cases being announced to properly cover the larger phone. Last week, a rumor popped up that Samsung would show Project Moohan at the next Galaxy Unpacked, but not launch the XR headset. Since revealing the Android XR based headset in January, Samsung has repeatedly shown off Moohan at various other tech conferences this year. So, it's no real surprise that Samsung would have Moohan at its own event. The difference, we're hoping, is that the company finally shares more concrete details about the device. While we've gone heads-on, Samsung has been pretty mum on new details. We don't have a date yet, but all signs point to Samsung keeping its usual July launch window for its foldable phones.

New rumor doubles down on smaller battery for the Galaxy S26 Ultra — here's what we know

A new post on social media appears to confirm the rumor that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will not receive a major battery update. There have been a lot of rumors about Samsung's next generation of smartphones, including the Ultra model coming with an under-display camera. However, known leaker PandaFlashPro has stated that Samsung may not increase the battery beyond 5,400 mAh, compared to the 5,000 mAh seen in the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The statement was made in response to a post on X regarding the possible battery size of the next generation of Samsung Ultra phones. In the post, Panda states, 'Battery Capacity is not Final yet but Under 5400mAh "if" they Increase, Charging Speed not 65w, 120Hz Refresh Rate, No Under Display Camera.' In the past, Panda had stated that the Galaxy S26 Ultra would likely only see a max battery capacity of 5,500 mAh. While the idea of Samsung only offering a minimum battery increase might disappoint some, there are some other factors worth considering. For instance, it was recently indicated that Samsung could launch the Galaxy S26 series with silicone carbon batteries, similar to the ones seen in the OnePlus 13. If this is the case, then it means that the batteries in the phones would be much denser than the current lithium-ion batteries. This would allow the device to have a much larger charge without having to increase the capacity. The other thing to note is that battery capacity is only half the story when it comes to the longest-lasting phones. When it comes to the longevity of a phone, one of the most important factors is the chip, and Samsung devices boast some of the best on the market. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. For the most part, we expect that the Samsung Galaxy S26 series will launch with the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip. Considering how good the current Snapdragon 8 Elite is at power management, we expect the next chip to offer major improvements in that area. There are some indications that the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus could feature the Exynos 2600 in certain markets, but the Ultra models tend to universally use the same chip. It's usually worth taking these kinds of leaks and rumors with a generous helping of salt. At this point, it is still very early days for Galaxy S26 rumors, and even then, we won't know for certain until the phone is announced. While we don't have an exact date yet, it will likely be in early 2026, which is when Samsung usually releases its Galaxy phones.

Galaxy Z Fold 7 display size is the same as Samsung's last special edition foldable

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 should be hitting the shelves any day now, so it's only natural that all of their specifications leak in advance. We now have confirmation from a very reliable source that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 's display is the same size as the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition. However, there's a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition was an improved version of the standard Fold 6, but it only saw a limited release in South Korea and China. It's speculated that Samsung made this phone to directly compete with Chinese smartphone manufacturers, which were releasing much better foldable smartphones for domestic consumers. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 will apparently be the same size as the Fold 6 Special Edition. However, because of much thinner bezels this time around, the Fold 7 's actual display will be larger than the SE's eight inches. The Fold 7 will instead come with a display size of almost 8.2 inches. Finally it's Confirmed Now! Galaxy Z Fold 7 Display is the same size as Z Fold 6 Special Edition 8", with slightly less Bezels, resulting nearly 8.2' Display. — PandaFlash (@PandaFlashPro) June 4, 2025 While that's hardly any larger, keep in mind that the last Samsung Galaxy foldable that most of the world could buy was the base model Fold 6. That phone has a display size of 7.6 inches, which means that its upcoming successor should feel relatively much larger. We already know that the Fold 7 looks a lot bigger than its predecessor due to leaked images. Galaxy Z Fold 7 size compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 6. | Image credit — PandaFlash A much bigger ( pun intended ) point of debate has been the chipset that will be powering the Fold 7 . According to all reports from multiple industry insiders, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset found in the Galaxy S25 series. While I'm bummed to see Samsung still having trouble with its Exynos processors, I'm sure many will breathe a sigh of relief at that news. Samsung has vastly toned down sales expectations for the Fold 7 and Flip 7 , as the foldable industry hasn't picked up as much attention as manufacturers had hoped. Some companies are pulling out of the foldable segment entirely, while others still think it's worth giving it a go. Oppo, for example, released the gorgeous and super thin Find N5 foldable. Apple, on the other hand, is biding its time until it can make a foldable iPhone that meets its stringent criteria for perfection. In addition to the Flip 7 and Fold 7 , Samsung is also likely going to be releasing a tri-foldable smartphone this year. Very much an expensive experiment at this point, the tri-foldable will see a very limited release in very few markets, and Samsung doesn't expect it to sell all too well.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 prices revealed — here's what we know

Last year was seemingly the year of price hikes for many tech companies, especially Samsung, before President Trump introduced tariffs this year. So far in 2025, Samsung has managed to keep prices relatively the same for its latest handsets. A new rumor from tipster PandaFlashPro on X claims that the trend will continue with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. "Few Countries will get Price Increases, while Most of Markets will keep Prices Similar to the Previous ones," they posted. They say that this information is "confirmed," we assume by one of their sources. However, they have not provided any information about which countries will get a price increase. However, the tweet ends with $1899 and $1099 for the Z Fold and Z Flip, respectively. This suggests that, at least in the US, the price will remain the same as the Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 at launch. Last year's models did get a disappointing $100 price bump. At the same time, the tipster also posted about the Z Fold 7's camera, specifically the zoom capabilities. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. The Z Fold 7 will have a wide camera (1x) and an ultrawide lens (0.6x) with 2x "optical quality." There will also be 3x optical zoom, presumably via the telephoto camera. They finally said that they will be capable of 10x, 20x and 30x digital zoom. We expect Samsung to announce the Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 in early July during the company's annual summer Galaxy Unpacked event. We could also see One UI 8, based on Android 16, debut then as well. Samsung typically reveals its new wearables at that time so we should also see the Galaxy Watch 8 and either Galaxy Watch 8 Classic or Ultra, and potentially an updated Galaxy Ring 2.
