e-procurement system: PITB, PPRA organise training session
LAHORE: The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), in collaboration with the Punjab Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA), organised a comprehensive training session on the e-procurement system for officials from divisional, district, and tehsil-level offices across the Multan division. According to the PITB, Waqar Azim, Managing Director of PPRA, provided a detailed overview of the legal and regulatory framework governing public procurement in Punjab. The PITB's e-procurement team conducted hands-on training across various modules of the system and actively engaged participants through interactive Q&A sessions and feedback collection. The e-procurement system, developed by PITB, leverages modern technology to facilitate secure, paperless, and efficient procurement. In this regard, PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf stated that, under the directives of the Punjab government, the PITB has implemented the e-procurement system across various government departments to make the procurement process more efficient, transparent, and streamlined. Through this system, vendors from across the province and beyond can submit bids online, eliminating geographical barriers and streamlining the entire procurement cycle. CM hails women's interest in digital empowerment
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has commended the Punjab Information Technology Board's (PITB) digital programme for women's financial empowerment. She stated, "Integrated digital collaboration of Modern Skills Training Centres in every district of Punjab under the 'SheWins' programme is under way for women's financial independence and empowerment through e-commerce, social media marketing, content creation and other training courses." She said women across Punjab were showing great interest in the programme for moving towards financial independence. Under the platform, there are ample opportunities for skilled women in every district by allowing them access to relevant markets. She explained, "Training, legal guidance and leadership opportunities are available to university students at Women Development Centres across Punjab." Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said the centres were providing women a safe environment in every campus of Punjab and the training increases their independence and self-confidence. Meanwhile, paying tribute to the donors on the World Blood Donor Day, the chief minister said, "A coordinated system has been developed in Punjab for the timely supply of healthy blood." She said Punjab had established Pakistan's first regular virtual blood bank that allows the needy patients to contact the donors.

Training session on e-procurement system
LAHORE: The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), in collaboration with the Punjab Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA), organised a comprehensive training and feedback session on the e-procurement system for officials from divisional, district, and tehsil-level offices across the Gujranwala Division. According to the PITB on Friday, the session aimed to build capacity among government officials and ensure the smooth adoption of the e-procurement system which is being implemented across Punjab to enhance transparency, efficiency, and accessibility in public procurement. PPRA Managing Director Waqar Azim provided a detailed overview of the legal and regulatory framework governing public procurement in Punjab. The PITB's e-procurement team conducted hands-on training across various modules of the system and actively engaged participants through interactive question-and-answer sessions and feedback collection. The e-procurement system, developed by PITB, leverages modern technology to facilitate secure, paperless and efficient procurement. It allows vendors from across the province and beyond to submit bids online, eliminating geographical barriers and streamlining the entire procurement cycle. In this regard, PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf said the digitisation of public procurement is a transformative step towards good governance. PITB, ISL sign accord to implement PayZen
LAHORE: The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and International School Lahore (ISL) have signed an agreement to implement PayZen, a fintech solution developed by PITB, to streamline and digitise the school's fee collection processes. According to the PITB, the agreement was signed in the presence of ISL Principal Shahzad Tahir, Ad Astra Innovations (BizLinks Partner) representative Hassaan Agha and PITB Senior Program Manager Irfan Tahir. As part of the agreement, the PITB will lead the development, integration, and maintenance of the PayZen web-based platform, empowering ISL to manage collections digitally via multiple channels, including mobile banking, ATMs, and debit/credit cards. The system will also offer a robust administrative dashboard, equipping ISL with real-time financial updates, improved transparency, and comprehensive oversight. In his message, PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf said 'PayZen is a secure and user-friendly platform that enables transparency, efficiency, and growth. It will allow ISL to modernise its financial operations,' he added. As part of the implementation process, the PITB will also provide hands-on training to the school's administrative staff and ensure continuous technical support for uninterrupted and secure system functionality.
