PISQ students show solidarity with Palestinians at Awsaj Academy's painting competition

Fifty-four students from Pakistan International School Qatar (PISQ) passionately exhibited their artistic prowess during a painting competition titled Palestine Taught Me, organised by Awsaj Academy. The competition served as a vibrant platform where students expressed heartfelt solidarity with the people of Palestine, artfully blending colours and creativity to advocate for peace, resilience, and hope. With profound emotional engagement and an unmistakable zeal, PISQ students poured their passion onto the canvas, conveying powerful messages of unity and compassion for their Palestinian brothers and sisters. To further celebrate and appreciate the students' artistic achievements, PISQ hosted a special exhibition where their thought-provoking paintings were elegantly displayed. Principal Ch Muhammad Afzal, alongside the vice principals, mentors, and school leadership, engaged in a thorough observation and analysis of each artwork, acknowledging the depth of creativity and sincerity embedded in every brushstroke. Their recognition not only highlighted the artistic talents of the students but also reinforced the school's commitment to fostering meaningful self-expression. The exhibition was thoughtfully organised by Azmina Saheef, Event Manager, with the generous and collaborative support of the principal, vice principals, and mentors. In a moment brimming with pride, Grade 11-A student Abdullah Ashraf took centre stage to eloquently present the Al Fitrah Initiative. His commanding presence, deep insight, and clear articulation earned him high praise from ministry officials, reflecting the powerful impact of his words. Adding to the accolades, Omer Saleem, father of Ahmad Omer from (Grade 3-I), received a commendation certificate from MoEHE. This honour celebrated his outstanding contributions and active parent engagement, emphasizing the robust home-school partnership that PISQ tirelessly cultivates. Principal Ch Muhammad Afzal extended his heartfelt congratulations to every student, parent, and faculty member who contributed to this moment of pride.

Pakistan International School Qatar (PISQ) celebrated the remarkable achievements of its students, whose exceptional performances in the recent inter-school competitions have brought honour and recognition to the institution. Their dedication, talent, and perseverance continue to inspire excellence within the school community. Muhammad Hassan, a talented and promising kindergarten student, proudly clinched 1st Prize in the prestigious Little Muezzin Competition held at Doha Minaret Kindergarten. In yet another remarkable accomplishment, Ahab Tazeem, a bright young student from PISQ Kindergarten, secured the 3rd Prize in the Mosque Drawing Competition organised by Maghreb International School – École Charlemagne. PISQ students continued their winning streak, excelling in the Inter-School Quran Competition organised by TNG School. Students from both the Boys' and Primary Wings of PISQ showcased remarkable talent, securing top positions across multiple categories in the competition. From the Boys' Wing: Ayaan Abid (Grade 6-C) – 1st Position in Oracy (Quranic Reflections – 1-Minute Talk). Ali Imtiaz (Grade 6-C) – 2nd Position in Tilawah (Quran Recitation) Muhammad Abu Bakr (Grade 6-A) – 2nd Position in Hifz (Quran Memorization). From the Primary Wing: Ibadullah Muhammad (Grade 4-C) – 3rd Position in Tilawah (Quran Recitation). PISQ Principal Ch. Muhammad Afzal extended heartfelt congratulations to the winners and their families, emphasising that these accomplishments truly reflect PISQ's dedication to holistic education—nurturing not only academic excellence but also spiritual awareness and creative expression among its youngest learners.

In a parallel celebration of artistic expression, three talented students from the Girls' Wing brought further recognition to PISQ by winning first place in the Blyth Academy Video Making Competition held under the theme 'Discover Qatar.' Guided by Aftab Alam and Mahjabeen Baloch, the students impressed the judges with their creativity, technical skills, and compelling storytelling: • Eshaal Imran – First Prize (Junior Category) • Javeria Sarfraz – First Prize (Senior Category) • Tasmia Ali – First Prize (Senior Category) Their videos thoughtfully captured Qatar's culture, beauty, and diversity, reflecting a deep understanding of both creative media and national identity. PISQ Principal Ch Muhammad Afzal hosted a special award ceremony, where the achievers were honoured with certificates and words of praise. He lauded their commitment, discipline, and the balance they maintained between academics and co-curricular excellence. PISQ Drama Galore 2025: An unforgettable celebration of creativity, culture, and collaboration

The PISQ Auditorium lit up with young stars as talented students delivered remarkable performances, celebrating creativity, values, and reflection. The event was graced by chief guest Ali Sikandar, a proud PISQ alumnus. 'The Kindness Tree' by KG Wing stole hearts with its powerful message of generosity and compassion. Written by Vice Principal Ms Tuqaddus Ali and beautifully directed by Ms Shazia Samreen and Ms Rabia Sarwar, this 10-minute performance showcased the incredible talent of 22 little charming visuals and self-recorded dialogues, the play was a pure delight. In between, a soulful karaoke performance of 'Tell Me Why' by Grade VI girls, trained by Ms Naheed Akhter, added emotional depth and received thunderous applause. 'Social Media Ka Bukhar' by the Boys Wing brought the house down with humor and a powerful message. Written by Qaisar Javaid, who personally guided the production, this 15-minute play was a witty reminder of the dangers of digital obsession. Hosting the evening with confidence and charm was Ahmed Talha of Grade VII, under the mentorship of Shahab Gillani—his debut as host was nothing short of impressive. The overall coordination of the programme was managed by event manager Azmina Saheef, whose efforts ensured the event ran smoothly. An unforgettable celebration of creativity, culture, and collaboration lit up the stage at PISQ as the institution proudly presented Day 2 of Drama Galore. Chief guest Dr Shafiq ur Rehman, along with BOG members Ms Ghazala and Ms Sadia, graced the evening with their presence and support, elevating its spirit. PISQ Principal's guidance, feedback, and passion for the arts played a vital role in the success of every act. Hosted with grace and confidence by Ayesha Mushtaq (Grade VIII), under the mentorship of Ms Saba Nosheen, the evening flowed effortlessly from one highlight to the next. The School Choir's performance of 'Tell Me Why', directed by Ms Naheed, was a heartfelt tribute to unity and harmony. Hareem's Storytelling Session brought a deeply personal and motivational touch, sharing her inspiring journey as a young narrator.
