Shreveport Little Theatre's newest musical opens Valentine's Day
SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Looking for something fun to do this Valentine's Day? Tickets are now on sale for SLT's fourth 103rd Season Main Stage production of I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, with book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro, and music by Jimmy Roberts.
The hilarious musical comedy revue celebrates the mating game, and according to Shreveport Little Theatre this crowd-pleasing comedy takes on the truths and myths behind that contemporary conundrum known as 'the relationship.'
Through sketches and songs, Act I explores the journey from dating and waiting to love and marriage, while Act II reveals the agonies and triumphs of in-laws and newborns, trips in the family car and pick-up techniques of the geriatric set. It is the second-longest running off-Broadway musical.
I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change was nominated for the Outer Critics Circle Award as Outstanding Off-Broadway musical in 1997.
It will run for two consecutive weekends at Shreveport Little Theatre. The production opens on February 14th at 7:30 PM. Additional performances will be held on February 15th, 21st, and 22nd at 7:30 PM and February 16th, 22nd, and 23rd at 2:00 PM.
