Casric have best chances but held to draw by Orbit in playoffs opener
Orbit College and Casric Stars played to a 0-0 draw in their first match of the Premier Soccer League promotion play-offs at Olympia Park Stadium in Rustenburg on Wednesday. After weeks of delays due to protests and legal cases, the play-offs finally got under way with the clash between the two Motsepe Foundation Championship teams. As the match progressed, Orbit looked tired. This could be because they had to wait for more than two weeks before playing after the playoffs were put on hold. The result may give Cape Town City a chance to take an early lead if they win against Orbit at Cape Town Stadium on Saturday.

The result sees both sides sitting on one point apiece, as the Rustenburg-based team now faces a long trip to the Western Cape, where they will meet PSL side Cape Town City, who are set to begin their bid to defend their top-flight status on home turf. With a valuable place in the Betway Premiership on the line, both teams entered the encounter fully aware of what was at stake, and the cautious opening exchanges clearly demonstrated how vital it was to begin the promotional playoffs on a positive note and build momentum going forward. Playing in familiar surroundings, the home team enjoyed the early psychological edge, attempting to impose themselves on the contest using the comfort of their home ground to their advantage as they looked to control the tempo of the mini-tournament. This early advantage was especially significant given Orbit's recent history against Casric, having failed to register a single win in their last four head-to-head meetings with the Mpumalanga-based visitors. The opening stages of the match were tense, with both teams showing signs of nervous energy, and the tension was clearly visible on both benches. The two coaches remained vocal throughout, shouting instructions from their technical areas, while the home supporters were in full voice, generating an electric atmosphere as the evenly matched contest unfolded in the first half. Story Time in the Park starts up across Albuquerque
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) โ Kids are on summer break here in Albuquerque, and that means the return of Story Time in the Park. Everybody's favorite baseball-loving alien-dog creature, Orbit, came out for the year's first event. 'Underpants' premiering at the Adobe Theatre The children who showed up got a copy of the book as well as a free lunch. 'We love for the kids to read all summer long. Not just during the school year, because it prevents learning loss. It's great for them to have a different set of books than the ones they have at home. Or may even not have at home,' said Emily Hedges, Teacher, Story Time in the Park reader. These events are happening at multiple parks until July 17.
