No Hasselblad in OnePlus 15? New leak reveals big OnePlus camera update
Here we go again! The rumoured OnePlus 15, said to be the successor to the OnePlus 13, will reportedly launch without the Hasselblad branding. And this isn't the first time we've heard something like this about OnePlus and Hasselblad parting ways. Before the launch of the OnePlus 13, it was widely speculated that the company would be ending its partnership with Hasselblad, and the OnePlus 13 would launch without the Hasselblad branding. However, that didn't happen, and the OnePlus 13 featured a triple-rear camera system, once again tuned in collaboration with Hasselblad. That said, this time around, it's looking more likely that the partnership may actually come to an to Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the OnePlus 15 will not feature Hasselblad-tuned cameras and will instead adopt a new in-house imaging engine, much like what OPPO has done with its recent launches, the Find X8 and Find X8 Ultra in China. Both those phones use OPPO's proprietary Lumo imaging from this, the leak also highlights some of the key specifications of the OnePlus 15. It appears the company might scale things back on the display front, with the OnePlus 15 said to sport a 6.78-inch flat AMOLED panel with a 1.5K resolution — a step-down from the 6.82-inch quad-curved AMOLED screen with 2K resolution found on the OnePlus 13. The upside here is the flat display. Much like the OnePlus 13R, this move could be seen as a practical choice. While some might consider it a downgrade — and as good as quad-curved screens are (certainly better than older sloping-curved panels) — a flat display often proves more usable in day-to-day Also, in case you're wondering why OnePlus is skipping the number 14 and naming the next flagship the OnePlus 15 instead, it's because the number 4 is considered unlucky in Chinese culture. That's why the company is expected to jump straight from 13 to 15 for its next major OnePlus 15 is also rumoured to retain the triple 50-megapixel rear camera setup from the OnePlus 13, including a primary sensor, an ultra-wide, and a periscope telephoto lens. On the performance side, the phone is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's next-gen Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip, which is likely to be unveiled at the Snapdragon Summit in leaks have also claimed that the OnePlus 15 will pack the largest battery ever in a flagship phone — reportedly over 7,000mAh — with support for 100W wired and wireless charging. The phone is also said to come with an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance, just like the OnePlus OnePlus 15 is expected to launch in China by the end of this year, followed by a global release — including India — in early 2026. To recall, the OnePlus 13 was launched in India earlier this year, on January 7, at a starting price of Rs 69,999.

This OnePlus 15 camera leak makes me very nervous about the flagship
OnePlus's next flagship smartphone is expected to be the OnePlus 15 – due to arrive later this year. The rumour mill has started churning out some leaks about the handset, including one major camera titbit. And I'm officially nervous about the flagship. Since 2021, Hasselblad has been a quiet co-pilot on OnePlus's camera journey. The results haven't always been revolutionary, but you can't deny the colour science got a notable boost, and portrait shots started getting more effective. So a leak from the reputable Digital Chat Station on Weibo says that the OnePlus 15 might ditch the Hasselblad collab in favour of an in-house 'image brand' makes me twitchy. There's a reason phone makers like to slap big-name logos on their camera modules. It's not just for show – those partnerships usually nudge the camera tuning in the right direction. Without it, there's a risk we're back to OnePlus' days of good hardware, muddled by inconsistent camera results. But, the leak suggests the OnePlus 15 will still have a triple-lens setup, including a periscope lens and a big primary sensor. That sounds great on paper, but hardware alone doesn't make a brilliant camera system. Tuning, software, and experience matter – and that's where Hasselblad's influence has historically helped OnePlus punch above its weight. Of course, there's a chance that OnePlus has picked up enough know-how from years of collaboration to go solo without things crashing and burning. But that's a pretty big gamble. It's hard not to see this as a cost-cutting move dressed up as innovation. The rest of the spec sheet is shaping up just fine. A 6.78-inch 1.5K flat display might seem like a step down from the OnePlus 13's curvy QHD+ panel. But flat screens are far more practical in daily use. Add in the next-gen Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 chip and thinner bezels, and the OnePlus 15 is still sounding like a flagship contender. I'm just hoping the camera doesn't let the side down.

This recent Google Pixel 10 leak has me very excited about the camera upgrade
Every year, I upgrade to the latest Pixel for one reason: the camera. I think it's one of the best phones around. Not because of the chipset. Not because of the display. Just the camera. And this latest Pixel 10 leak has me counting down the days until launch. According to a report from Android Headlines, the Pixel 10 series might gain telemacro functionality. If you're not familiar, that means the phone could use its telephoto lens to shoot crisp close-up photos. It's a trick that's been popping up in phones like the OPPO Find N5 and OnePlus 13. Instead of relying on the ultrawide for macro shots (which Google has previously done with the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9a), the telephoto lets you zoom in while still getting sharp focus on the tiniest subjects. This sounds like a small tweak, but it could be a big deal. If it works the way it should, it'll mean better close-ups with more detail, less distortion, and cleaner depth. It also means you don't need to get as close to your subject, which could be useful if you're trying to take a picture of a flighty insect, for example. Google might keep the ultrawide macro option too, switching between lenses depending on how close you are to the subject. Basically, it could be offering more flexibility, better results, and more reasons for me to obsessively photograph bugs, flowers, and coffee beans. Sure, it's a relatively minor upgrade, but it's one that has me excited to see what else Google has up its sleeve. The Pixel 10 series is expected to launch on 20 August, with shipping reportedly set for 28 August. If this telemacro upgrade is real, the camera champ might just be levelling up again. And yes, I'm already clearing space in my photo library for hundreds of macro shots. Liked this? These earbuds have a 65-hour battery life, but that's not the best thing about them

Google may be looking to give Pixel 10 series a tele-macro camera makeover, launch pegged for August
Over the years, we've seen dedicated macro sensors on phones. We've seen ultra-wide sensors doubling up as macro lenses, and more recently, the tele-macro lens is starting to trend again. We've already seen this on several phones this year, including the flagship OnePlus 13 and the mid-range Vivo T4 Ultra. Now, according to a report by Android Headlines, Google seems to be following suit — the telephoto camera on the Pixel 10 series is said to come with macro makes this particularly interesting in the case of the Pixel 10 series is that, unlike most other brands that offer macro photography via either the ultra-wide or the telephoto lens, Google is reportedly enabling macro shooting through both lenses. This means macro photography — which has been available on previous Pixel phones via the ultra-wide lens — will continue, while also being extended to the telephoto lens. Depending on how close you are to your subject, the phone will automatically decide whether to use the ultra-wide or the telephoto camera for a macro Pixel 10 series is expected to be announced on 28 August. However, it is being reported that, following the announcement, all the phones in the series — including the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold — will have different launch Pixel 10 series: What to expectadvertisement One of the biggest changes this year is expected under the hood. The Pixel 10 series is likely to be powered by Google's new Tensor G5 chip, reportedly manufactured by TSMC. This shift in manufacturing could lead to improved thermal performance and battery life — something that previous Tensor-powered Pixels have struggled with. With this new chip, Google could finally catch up to other flagship Snapdragon and MediaTek processors in terms of efficiency and day-to-day the software front, the Pixel 10 is expected to ship with Android 16 out of the box. AI will play a major role again, with new features such as Video Generative ML for advanced video editing, Speak-to-Tweak for voice-guided image edits, and Sketch-to-Image that turns rough drawings into detailed visuals — all running on-device. These features could make the Pixel 10 series stand out in terms of creative tools and user-friendly for the cameras, the base Pixel 10 may finally get a triple-lens setup, including a telephoto lens — a first for a non-Pro Pixel phone. However, reports suggest that while this is a welcome upgrade, the actual camera sensors may not be as powerful as those on the Pro models. For example, the main sensor is said to be a Samsung GN8, which is smaller than the GNV used before. Supporting cameras might also be carried over from the Pixel 9a. Still, Google's AI-based image processing could help make up for some of those hardware don't expect major changes. The Pixel 10 is likely to stick with the same flat sides, camera bar at the back, and slim bezels up front, similar to the Pixel 9 series. The phones might be slightly thinner this year, but overall, the look should feel familiar. Pricing could also stay close to last year, with the Pixel 10 and 10 Pro expected to launch at Rs 79,999 and Rs 99,999, respectively. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold, interestingly, may arrive at a lower price point compared to last year's model.

Best Buy is running the greatest no-trade-in OnePlus 13 sale to date
Can you think of a better Android phone available right now than the OnePlus 13 ? If money is no object, probably. But if you find Samsung's state-of-the-art Galaxy S25 Ultra a little rich for your blood, then this is almost certainly the ultra-high-end device to get, especially at its latest Best Buy discount. Yes, the well-known and universally beloved US retailer is selling the Snapdragon 8 Elite powerhouse at $899.99 instead of its $999.99 list price with no strings attached in a 512GB storage configuration, and perhaps even more notably, you can also score a nice and handy $100 gift card without jumping through any hoops. $100 off (10%) 5G, Unlocked, 512GB Storage, 16GB RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Processor, 6.82-Inch AMOLED Display with 3168 x 1440 Pixel Resolution and 120Hz Refresh Rate Technology, IP69 Water and Dust Resistance, Ceramic Guard Glass, 50 + 50 + 50MP Triple Rear-Facing Camera System, 32MP Front-Facing Camera, 6,000mAh Battery with 80W Wired and 50W Wireless Charging Capabilities, Midnight Ocean and Black Eclipse Color Options, $100 Best Buy Gift Card Included Buy at BestBuy 5G, Unlocked, 256GB Storage, 12GB RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Processor, 6.82-Inch AMOLED Display with 3168 x 1440 Pixel Resolution and 120Hz Refresh Rate Technology, IP69 Water and Dust Resistance, Ceramic Guard Glass, 50 + 50 + 50MP Triple Rear-Facing Camera System, 32MP Front-Facing Camera, 6,000mAh Battery with 80W Wired and 50W Wireless Charging Capabilities, Black Eclipse Color, Free OnePlus Buds 3 and Magnetic Case Included Buy at OnePlus I'm talking no obligatory trade-ins, port-ins, or upfront activations on specific carriers, which clearly makes this new deal better than all previous promotions available at OnePlus. At the time of this writing, for instance, the device manufacturer offers no outright discount on the 6.82-inch OnePlus 13 in either a 256 or 512 gig variant, only slashing $100 off the handset's regular prices with a trade-in and throwing in a complimentary pair of OnePlus Buds 3 and a protective case. Technically, those freebies are worth more (together) than the aforementioned $100 Best Buy gift card, but while not everyone might need new wireless earbuds this summer, who doesn't love shopping at Best Buy? And just in case our in-depth OnePlus 13 review at the very beginning of the year didn't make its phenomenal value obvious enough, my good friend and colleague Victor Hristov has a new story detailing his experience after using this bad boy for an extended period of time. In it, the phone is praised for everything from its silky smooth software to its silky smooth screen, blazing fast charging, and... solid albeit not mind-blowing battery life. At the end of the day, the OnePlus 13 is almost as great as the Galaxy S25 Ultra , as well as considerably more affordable... if you hurry, so you should probably do just that and pull the trigger before Best Buy inevitably gets rid of either the $100 discount or $100 gift. Or both.
