Perrion Winfrey signed by Dallas Cowboys

Former Oklahoma Sooners defensive lineman Perrion Winfrey is getting a second chance to make it in the National Football League. According to NBC Houston's Aaron Wilson, Winfrey is signing with the Dallas Cowboys, after a successful stint in the United Football League this spring. Advertisement Winfrey played defensive tackle for OU for two seasons. After transferring in from Iowa Western Community College, he was a two-year starter in Norman in both 2020 and 2021. He was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft with the 108th overall pick, after a Senior Bowl MVP performance during the pre-draft process. He appeared in 13 games during his rookie season. But an off-field incident ahead of the 2023 season led to the Browns releasing Winfrey, and he didn't play that year until the New York Jets signed him late in the season. He only appeared in one game for the Jets, and didn't play at all during the 2024 NFL season, as he was a free agent. So, Winfrey took his talents to the UFL for their 2025 season, signing with the Birmingham Stallions. He had an excellent year there, helping the Stallions make the playoffs, and was named to the All-UFL Team this spring. Winfrey totaled 29 tackles, including nine tackle for loss and a sack. He also added four pass breakups and a forced fumble in 10 games in 2025. Advertisement Now, Winfrey is getting another shot at the NFL, where he'll look to show off his impressive physical traits and potential at the highest level once again. Drake Loses $800K Bet On NBA Finals Following Thunder's Game 6 Upset

Drake Loses $800K Bet On NBA Finals Following Thunder's Game 6 Upset originally appeared on Fadeaway World. The Indiana Pacers dominated the OKC Thunder in Game 6 to force a Game 7 in the NBA Finals. They won the game 108-91 and now head to Oklahoma to decide who wins the NBA championship. Advertisement Before the game, hip-hop sensation Drake posted a picture on his IG story where he confirmed betting $800,000 on the Thunder beating the Pacers to close out their series in six games and win the NBA championship. Now that the Pacers have won Game 6, Drake has lost that gamble. The Pacers had a dominant second quarter and took a 22-point lead to end the first half (64-42). The Pacers extended their lead to as far as 31 points before the Thunder waved the white flag and pulled out their starters at the beginning of the fourth quarter. Where Did It All Go Wrong For The Thunder? When Gilgeous-Alexander had a rough start to the game and had three turnovers in the first quarter, it felt like the game was not going to go the Thunder's way. He struggled tonight and scored only 21 points while attempting only one three-pointer, which he failed to make. Advertisement But the main struggle for him was the turnovers. He recorded the most turnovers in a single game for his entire career as he finished the game with eight of those. The poor start seemed to impact his confidence as he only attempted 15 shots before the reigning MVP was done for the night, while averaging almost 22 shots per game. For the Pacers, six players scored in double digits as Obi Toppin led all scorers with 20 points. Tyrese Haliburton made his first shot from the left side of the basket, as the injured Pacers star did not play most of the fourth quarter but provided a necessary spark for them to build the lead initially. The highlight of the game for the Pacers would be the Pascal Siakam poster dunk on Jalen Williams in the second quarter that essentially broke their spirits to even try and pull off a comeback. The play was started by a Tyrese Haliburton steal on the other end of the floor before a perfect 'no-look' dime set Siakam up for a thunderous slam. Drake Has Lost Millions On Sports Betting Earlier this week, Drake posted a screenshot on his Instagram story, which revealed the lesser desirable side of sports betting, his losses. According to the screenshots, he has lost over $8 million over the past month on sports betting. While presumably most of it is on the NBA Playoffs, it is not limited to just basketball. According to Celebrity Net Worth, the Canadian rapper has a net worth of over $250 million. Therefore, his gambling losses are only 3.2% of his net worth. Nonetheless, it revealed the risk that Drake regularly takes while putting money on his favorite sports teams. SGA says Thunder will be ready for do-or-die Game 7 in NBA Finals

The Oklahoma City Thunder "sucked" in a sloppy, lopsided Game 6 loss against the Indiana Pacers, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander said, but he's confident they have what it takes to claim the title in Game 7 "The way I see it, we sucked tonight," Gilgeous-Alexander, the reigning NBA MVP, said after the Thunder's bid to close out the Pacers ended in a 108-91 defeat in Indianapolis. Gilgeous-Alexander, who is averaging over 30 points per game in the series, scored just 21 to go along with four rebounds, two assists and eight of the Thunder's 21 turnovers in Game 6. "Some of them I think was carelessness, not being as focused, not being engaged," he said of the Thunder's uncharacteristic turnovers. "They played harder than us tonight as well. When a team plays harder, they turn the other team over." Gilgeous-Alexander's eight turnovers were more than his seven baskets, but Thunder coach Mark Daigneault said the defeat was on the entire team. "First of all, credit Indiana," Daigneault said. "I thought they obviously earned the win. They outplayed us for most of the 48 minutes. "That's the story of the game. They went out there and attacked the game. "From our standpoint, it was uncharacteristic," Daigneault added. "It was disappointing. It was collective. It wasn't one guy ... just we were not where we needed to be on either end of the floor for much of the game." Gilgeous-Alexander admitted that the chance of clinching the franchise's first title since it relocated to Oklahoma City in 2008 was "definitely in the back of our minds." "Now, we didn't play like it at all," he added. "That's why the night went the way it did. We got exactly what we deserved, what we earned. We have to own that." But he does not think he and his Thunder teammates — who ousted the Denver Nuggets with a lopsided Game 7 win in the Western Conference semifinals — need to do anything new. "I don't feel like I have to do anything other than just be the best version of myself," Gilgeous-Alexander said. "I think that goes for everyone else in the room. We just have to bring what we bring to the table, what we've brought to the table all year. "One game for everything you ever dreamed of," he added. "If you win it, you get everything. If you lose it, you get nothing. It's that simple."

Sunday night is do-or-die in the NBA as Game 7 of the NBA Finals tips off with the Indiana Pacers visiting the Oklahoma City Thunder. Indiana forced the decisive game after a dominant 108-91 win at home in Game 6. Advertisement That game was close early, with the Pacers holding a narrow 28-25 lead after the first quarter. But Indiana exploded in the middle quarters, outscoring the Thunder in the second and third to take a 30-point lead into the final frame. Sunday's showdown will mark just the 20th Game 7 in NBA Finals history. After Game 6, the NBA released an official message hyping up the finale: "WE'RE GOING TO GAME 7! Obi Toppin came off the bench to score 20 points in just 23 minutes, while T.J. McConnell added 12 points and 9 rebounds. Pacers beat Thunder to force NBA game seven decider

The NBA Finals will be decided by a winner-takes-all game seven for the first time in nine years after the Indiana Pacers defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 108-91 in game six to level the series. A fine attacking display from the Pacers, which included 20 points for Obi Toppin off the bench, stopped the Thunder from claiming the Championship in player Tyrese Haliburton, who missed game five with a calf injury, passed a late fitness test before tip-off and managed 14 points, five assists and two steals in 22 minutes of play."We just wanted to protect our court," Haliburton said. "We didn't want to see those guys celebrate a championship on our home floor. Backs against the wall, we just responded. "So many different guys chipped in. It was a whole team effort. I'm really proud of this group."The victory means the NBA finals will go to game seven for the first time since 2016, when the Cleveland Cavaliers won their first Championship with a 4-3 series win against the Golden State Thunder will host game seven on Monday (01:00 BST) but will need a much improved performance to win their first Championship since Gilgeous-Alexander, the newly-crowned Most Valuable Player, top scored for the Thunder with 21 points but his side paid the price for missing their first eight shots of the game, which gave the Pacers an early eight-point lead. "Credit Indiana," Thunder coach Mark Daigneault said. "They earned the win. They outplayed us for most of the 48 minutes. They went out there and attacked the game."Monday's game will mark the 20th time the NBA Finals have gone to game seven, with the home side in the decider triumphing 15 times.
