Adrian Peterson, former NFL player gets into fist fight while playing poker
Adrian Peterson, former NFL running back was seen throwing punches during a game of poker. Video footage that captured the intense moment went viral. The 40-year-old was seen involved in a heated altercation and fistfight. Peterson and another player can be seen yelling and throwing punches in the video, which turned a card game into a chaotic scene. As the fight began, a person standing close by attempted to intervene and calm down the situation. He also tried to separate Peterson and his opponent. However, the situation escalated, with the two men moving around the room. They were seen knocking over chairs and bumping into furniture. While some people in the room looked stunned, others were shouting at both men to stop the argument. Adrian Peterson has a dazzling NFL legacy. He was drafted seventh overall by the Minnesota Vikings in 2007. He then spent a decade with the team before playing for the New Orleans Saints, Arizona Cardinals, Washington Football Team, Detroit Lions, Tennessee Titans, and Seattle Seahawks. Peterson is a seven-time Pro Bowler and four-time first-team All-Pro. He has also led the NFL in rushing yards three times and rushing touchdowns twice. The awards claimed by him include an MVP award, Offensive Player of the Year, and Offensive Rookie of the Year. Adrian Peterson announced his retirement in 2021. Post his exit, he has explored new interests, including poker and combat sports. In 2022, Peterson stepped into the ring for an exhibition boxing match against fellow former NFL running back Le'Veon Bell, where he was knocked out. Poker has been another venture for the former NFL player, but his recent video raised eyebrows. The poker table fight is a surprising incident in Peterson's post-NFL journey. While the video captures a moment of lost tempers, it is not clear what led to the fight.

NFL analyst: Commanders' Jayden Daniels is the future best quarterback in the game
NFL analyst: Commanders' Jayden Daniels is the future best quarterback in the game "Jayden Daniels looks like the most likely of those young QBs to be that future MVP and future best QB in the game." 😳@SamMonsonNFL isn't holding back 👇 — Check the Mic with Steve Palazzolo & Sam Monson (@CTM_Show) June 13, 2025 Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels established himself as a major threat in his rookie campaign. He did things no one expected him to do, and set records on his way to earning Offensive Rookie of the Year honors. On top of that, Daniels led the Commanders in their best season in over 30 years, followed by a postseason run that ended at the NFC Championship game. Now, in year two, many believe that Daniels will suffer a sophomore slump as so many players do, but even if he does, NFL A\analyst Sam Monson believes Daniels is the future best quarterback in the game. "Jayden Daniels looks like a future MVP," Monson says. "If he picks up the way he left off, and that's no guarantee based off what we've seen from various other quarterbacks, but Jayden Daniels showed last year he's got everything you want. He's got the arm, he's got the defense reading ability, he's got the athleticism, and then he's got that 'it' factor, right? That clutch gene, the ability to drag a team that shouldn't be there into the NFC Championship game. The ability to, "Oh look, we're down late against Joe Burrow and the Bengals," just drop a perfect touchdown pass to win a game." We may have seen that last season against the Chicago Bears when Daniels threw a gorgeous Hail Mary pass to the end zone that Noah Brown caught. "Like, he's got everything you want," Monson continues. "As long as he doesn't drop off hard in year two, and even if he does, maybe it's year 3, 4, he bounces back and becomes the best guy. Daniels looks like the most likely of those young quarterbacks to me now to be that future MVP and future best quarterback in the game." Daniels has given no one any reason to doubt his ability, and even if there is a dip in his production, that doesn't necessarily mean it's a slump. Especially if the Commanders reach the postseason again. No, as long as Daniels remains healthy, he will continue to perform at the elite level we have become accustomed to. And while he may not earn MVP honors this year, that award is surely in his future.

Rookie QB Cam Ward is the Titans' MVP candidate in 2025
Rookie QB Cam Ward is the Titans' MVP candidate in 2025 It won't take much for the Tennessee Titans to improve in 2025 over what they did in 2024; winning just four games would get the job done. That's not the goal, of course, the goal is always to win as many games as possible. But the Titans are in a rebuild this year, and they're not expected to be contenders for much of anything. Still, every team has an MVP candidate, right? The one guy who would get it as the best player on the team. And even though it's unlikely he will win the actual MVP this season, it shouldn't surprise anyone that Pro Football Network names Cam Ward the Titans' best MVP candidate. Cam Ward might be the biggest long shot on this list, and not because of talent. He's a rookie, and the Tennessee Titans aren't expected to contend in 2025 It's possible Tennessee surprises people, but a playoff push feels like a reach. That said, there's real excitement around Ward, who went No. 1 overall after a stellar season at Miami and was widely viewed as the most NFL-ready QB in the class. The Titans also made moves to help him succeed. They upgraded the line with Kevin Zeitler and Dan Moore Jr. while also adding Tyler Lockett. Ward has a steep hill to climb, but he has some help. Ward may not win the MVP award this year, but it's not out of the question for him to win Offensive Rookie of the Year and follow in Jayden Daniels' footsteps. And, no matter the probability, even the smallest possibility is still a possibility. Unlikely as it is, it's not impossible!

Ex-NFL head doctor: New York Giants' Malik Nabers not practicing a red flag
The New York Giants selected wide receiver Malik Nabers with the sixth overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft. Until the explosion of Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels, Nabers was highly thought to be in line for the Offensive Rookie of the Year award. We all know what happened there, but that doesn't lessen the impact Nabers has had on the Giants' offense. Unfortunately, Nabers hasn't been on the field at all this offseason, nursing a nagging toe injury. It's something that dates back to his college days at LSU, and one former NFL doctor says it's a huge red flag that he hasn't been on the field yet. "I would (be concerned)," said Dr. David J. Chao, an orthopedic surgeon who spent 17 years as an NFL doctor. "I would because if you're not on the field in June, you haven't played football in five-plus months. You've only got two months before real football is being played. If you're not ready in five months, what's two more months gonna do, right? "And he's a speed/quickness/in-and-out-of-routes guy, you know he's going to need his big toe for that. And apparently that was from a college injury that's lingered or come up again, so now the word 'chronic' comes into play. So, yeah, I do have some worries for Malik Nabers." Now, maybe it's a red flag, and maybe it is chronic, but let's just look at Nabers' stats from his rookie campaign. He recorded 109 receptions for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns. He was, by far, the most productive Giants' wide receiver in 2024 and ranked inside the top 10 receivers in the NFL. He did this while nursing the same toe injury, apparently. So, while it's not ideal that Nabers hasn't been on the field yet, it's not overly concerning, either.

Following an impressive rookie campaign, the Washington Commanders QB finds himself with a favorable ranking among his counterparts in the league. It did not take long for Daniels to show the Commanders they made the right decision by drafting him No. 2 overall. His combination of speed and throwing ability had an immediate impact on the offense, resulting in them winning 12 games and securing a postseason berth. Daniels then showed he wasn't scared of the big stage, leading Washington all the way to the NFC Championship game. Ahead of the 2025 season, the people at FanDuel Sportsbook ranked the top second and third-year quarterbacks in the NFL. Daniels was named the best standout from this group, beating out players such as CJ Stroud, Caleb Williams, and JJ McCarthy. Ironically enough, these two quarterbacks are the last two winners of Offensive Rookie of the Year. Though his production took a slight dip last year, Stroud had far from a "sophomore slump." He ended the regular season with over 3,700 passing yards and 20 touchdowns. While his sample size might be the smallest, it's hard to put any of these QBs ahead of Daniels after what he showed last year. He's also had the most playoff success, a testament to his star-level trajectory. Last year, the Commanders QB was able to take the league by storm with minimal pressure. That will not be the case in 2025, as people will see if he can keep Washington in the mix to contend in the NFC. Heading into this season, the key for Daniels will be staying on his path toward stardom. Countless young QBs have faltered in year two, and that's the last thing the Commanders want to see from their best young talent. The front office did their part by upgrading the talent around him. Now the challenge becomes if Daniels can surpass the high bar being set for him. For more Washington Commanders and NFL news, head over to Newsweek Sports.
