Watch: Keke Palmer performs on 'Kimmel,' releases 'Just Keke' album

The singer, 31, performed a medley of songs including "125 Degrees" and "Off Script" on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon Thursday. Both tracks are included on her album Just Keke, released Friday. Palmer appeared on stage in a gold trench coat near an apparent street lamp. As the song continued, she removed the coat to show her red dress with red beading. Just Keke also includes "Act 1," "What Would Sharon Say?," "Anonymous," "A Kiki and the Bee," "My Confession," "Exposed," "Act 2," "Tea, Boo," "Amnesia," "Same [Expletive] Different Toilet," "I Wanna Know," "Ripples," "Act 3," "Unless It's You," "Misunderstood" and "The End." Diego Luna says Hollywood only offered drug dealer roles before ‘Star Wars'
Diego Luna revealed his personal experiences with Latinx typecasting in Hollywood prior to taking on the Empire in 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.' During an installment of the Hollywood Reporter's roundtable interview series, 'Off Script,' the Mexican star of the Emmy-nominated series 'Andor' revealed he was only offered drug dealer roles before he hyper-sped his way into a galaxy far, far away. 'Before 'Star Wars,' the only projects I'd get offered would be [about] drug dealers,' Luna said during the discussion, which included fellow drama actors Walton Goggins and Adam Scott. 'I could be the nice drug dealer and not the vicious one, but still a drug dealer.' The Golden Globe-nominated actor has been acting since he was a child in his native country of Mexico. He starred in various telenovelas during the 1990s before making his cinematic breakthrough in 2001 with Alfonso Cuarón's Oscar-nominated film, 'Y Tu Mamá También.' Luna would later appear in English-language films, such as Steven Spielberg's 2004 movie 'The Terminal' with Tom Hanks, as well as 'Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights,' in which Luna played the main love interest. He eventually starred in Netflix's cartel TV series, 'Narcos: Mexico,' as Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo, a founder of the Guadalajara Cartel. Luna added that Hollywood productions were not 'sending messages' that he could be himself in projects where he could see himself reflected in the roles. 'I remember being asked, 'Are you going to clean up your accent?' That's not part of the conversation anymore,' he said. 'But when I was 20, it was like, 'Man, you're great, and if you work with your accent, you'll be doing what this person or that person is doing.' And you go, 'Why would I like to do that? This is what makes me unique.'' Luna's presence in American productions has arguably helped increase the small percentage of Latinx representation in Hollywood; according to a 2023 report from the USC Annenberg Inclusion Initiative, Latinx people represent 19% of the U.S. population, but they only account for 4.4% of actors in lead or co-lead roles. And when they do appear on screen, the study revealed, they tend to depict people who are immigrants and living in poverty, as well as characters that skew violent, angry and criminal. In February, Netflix committed $1 billion in Mexico productions of series and films, in hopes of creating opportunities for Latinx people nationwide, according to the Hollywood Reporter. 'This investment, and the productions derived therefrom, will benefit Mexican production companies and will contribute to the growth of the local audiovisual industry,' said Ted Sarandos, co-CEO of Netflix, during the press conference announcing the investment.

Ryan Thomas shares wife's off-screen involvement in Sue Cleaver's Corrie exit
Ryan Thomas spent 16 years on the Corrie set with his mum Eileen, played by Sue Cleaver - so when she finally called it a day on the ITV soap, he was there to send her off Corrie star Ryan Thomas has given his wife Lucy Mecklenburgh a tour around his on-screen childhood home, as he paid tribute to his TV mum Eileen after Sue Cleaver's emotional departure from the soap. Ryan, 40, shares two children with TOWIE star Lucy Meck, but he had already left the show by the time they got together. Ryan spent his teenage years in Weatherfield, having joined the Manchester-based ITV soap in 2000. He stayed until 2016, when his character, builder Jason Grimshaw left the cobbles after being manipulated by his mum Eileen's partner Pat Phelan. But Jason wasn't killed off, and instead emigrated to Thailand, with his mum Eileen mentioning him often on the soap. And with Sue Cleaver finally leaving Corrie for good, he took the opportunity to show Lucy, 33, around the set. Sharing a video on Instagram of Lucy walking through the Grimshaws' living room, he wrote: "I was never with @lucymeck while I was in the show so it was nice to finally show my superfan where I grew up." Another clip showed Sue being given a round of applause, before hugging her on-screen sons Jason and Todd, who was played by Bruno Langley originally, and then Gareth Pierce since 2017. Ryan wrote: "Haven't seen it yet but Eileen/mother departed Weatherfield tonight, gone but never forgotten. "It has been an honour to watch, learn and act alongside you one last time. Can't wait to watch you shine in your next chapter. Love you always." Sue confirmed rumours that Ryan would be returning to the Cobbles for her send off. Speaking on soap podcast Off Script, she said: "I rang Ryan Thomas and I said, 'Ryan, I've not told work yet but I'm gonna leave. Would you come back? I'd really like you to take me out'. "He said, 'I wasn't planning to but I can't refuse that can I'. It just felt really right that he was there. It was lovely having him there. He's not changed at all." Following her final episode on Friday night, Sue's character Eileen was seen leaving for a new life in Thailand, alongside her son Jason. Simon Gregson's character Steve McDonald, Tony Maudsley's George Shuttleworth, and Eileen's son Todd, played by Gareth Pierce, all said goodbye to the matriarch before drivers from the local taxi firm honked their horns as she was driven off. In an Instagram post, Cleaver said: 'Well… that's a wrap. 25 years of laughs, tears, costumes, chaos — and one unforgettable journey. I'll miss this character like crazy, but what a ride it's been. Thank you for every moment.' Sue has played outspoken Eileen in the ITV show since 2000, who started her life in Weatherfield working on the phones at local taxi firm Streetcars. She arrived with her tearaway teenagers Jason and Todd, and became friends with her boss Steve. Sue came third on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2022, where she opened up about reconciling with her birth mother. She also revealed how her family is 'bizarrely interconnected' to other Coronation Street stars, including Helen Worth (who plays Gail Platt) who is godmother to one of her half-sisters. Meanwhile, her other half-sister's husband, John Bowe, appeared on the cobbles as Duggie Ferguson. In 2024, Sue released a book A Work In Progress in which she discusses how she feels she is not past her prime, and has been a panellist on ITV daytime chat show Loose Women.

Coronation Street fans slam 'dreadful' exit for Eileen Grimshaw after 25 years
It was an emotional night in Coronation Street tonight, as Eileen Grimshaw waved goodbye to Weatherfield after 25 years - but some fans wanted a better exit for the star It was the end of an era on Coronation Street tonight, as Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) waved goodbye to the street she'd lived on for 25 years. Actress Sue Cleaver joined the ITV soap in 2000, when her character moved into number 11 with sons Jason and Todd Grimshaw. However, some fans weren't impressed with her exit scenes. The character quickly became a fan favourite, winning numerous awards for her portrayal of the role, and her feud with Gail Platt (Helen Worth) will go down in history. However, after 25 years, it was time for Eileen to wave goodbye to Weatherfield, and hello to Thailand as she made a big move. It comes after a tough time for the character, who was being suspected in her sister Julie's tragic death. In tonight's episode, Eileen was cleared by the police of any wrongdoing in Julie's death. She then decided to make the move to Thailand, and invest in her son Jason's bar. It wasn't the only big change for the character, as she ended her relationship with George after admitting she only loved him as a friend. In her final scenes, Eileen who worked at the StreetCars taxi service alongside Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson), was seen hopping into the back of his cab with Jason. Showing their appreciation, Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) and the other cabbies lined up the taxis on the street, honking their horns and saluting her as she waved out the window. Despite the 'touching' scenes, some fans weren't happy about the exit Eileen was given after 25 years, as they expected more. One penned: "This will go down in history as one of the most drawn out exits ever," as another wrote: "This is a dreadful last episode for a long term character." "Well, that send off, wasn't very exciting," tweeted a third, while another agreed: "Goodness. Eileen's exit storyline is very, very, VERY bland." However, others took to the social media platform to praise the exit. "Wow todays episode of Corrie had me happy crying what an ending for an iconic character," wrote one fan, as another said: "Loved how all the taxis lined the street to wave eileen off. Nice touch." Previously speaking about her exit scenes, Sue gushed that the ITV soap had given her "the perfect ending." Speaking on Kelvin and Liz Fletcher's Off Script podcast, the star said: "When I read it and saw it, I was really emotional. It's the perfect ending. It is everything that I wanted."

Coronation Street's Gary Windass gets mistaken for Chesney
Appearing on Kevin and Liz Fletcher's Off Script podcast, the 38-year-old said he gets mistaken for Chesney Brown actor Sam Aston. Referring to how Kelvin is still called 'Suggers' from his soap star days in Emmerdale, host Liz was intrigued to know what the public refer to Mikey as. "It's Chesney, it's followed me around all these years. It's funny,' Mikey laughed. "It's an in-joke at jobs" target="_blank">work that my name is Chesney. "I guess people who dip in and out who watched it when Chesney was really young, and then tune in years later and see me, they think that Chesney grew up to be me.' Mikey then went on to reveal how himself and Sam shared a dressing room at the show for 15 years. Most popular soap operas in the UK However, Mikey said he "just goes along with it" when people call him the nickname – and even ask him how Chesney's late dog Schmeichel is. Sam Aston, who played Chesney, first joined the soap in 2003, five years before Mikey. Sam, 31, was crowned the winner of Dancing on Ice earlier this year, alongside his skating partner Molly Lanaghan. Looking towards the future, Mickey said that he'd love to share the screen with Emmerdale rogue Cain Dingle when both soaps take part in a historic crossover episode next year. Recommended reading: 'It's being kept top secret,' he said. 'It'll be people from both soaps mixing together for the first time ever.'
