Video forensic suggests Khamenei may have moved away from residence
In the raging conflict between Israel and Iran is a central figure: Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran's Supreme Leader. Political rhetoric from his adversaries suggests his life could be at Trump has said that the US knows his exact location but 'won't take him out' for now, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has not ruled out the possibility of his Amid growing reports about Khamenei being shifted to a bunker, his latest official video, released on June 18, offers subtle yet telling signs of a possible relocation. A forensic analysis of the footage suggests major changes and downgrades in production quality and setup, indicating makeshift arrangements, far from his usual studio-quality environment.A day after Trump's demand of an 'UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER' of Iran, Khamenei released a video message on his Telegram channel, cautioning that any US military action would result in 'serious and irreparable consequences'. It marked his second public appearance since the attacks began on June a forensics analysis, India Today's Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) noticed unusual technical deviations in the production of the latest video as against previous videos released by his office. The unusual changes suggest that Khamenei has been relocated to another place, or at least the video was shot in a completely different the tight shot—showing only beige curtains, an Iranian flag, and a portrait of Grand Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, Khamenei's predecessor, who died in 1989—offered no clear indication of his location, some visual clues do offer some the new video, Khamenei is seen using a lapel mic instead of the higher-quality stand microphones typically used in his addresses. The overall video quality also appears lower. While previous videos from his office maintain high-resolution standards, this one looks significantly compressed, suggesting a less sophisticated setup.A technical comparison is even more revealing. His June 10 address, which is under four minutes long, had a file size of 24 MB with a video bitrate of 892 kbps and audio at 95.4 kbps. The June 18 video, despite being more than nine minutes long, is only 18 MB in size. The video bitrate drops to 256 kbps, and the audio quality plunges to a mere 2.4 kbps.A higher bitrate translates into higher image quality, and vice versa. As its name suggests, bitrate is the rate at which bits (of data) are processed or transferred. The bitrate is measured in seconds. The bitrate measuring units range from bps for small units, and Kbps, Mbps & Gbps for higher bit numbers strongly suggest that the video was recorded using downgraded or improvised equipment, pointing to a likely shift in location. The absence of standard broadcast tools and the sudden drop in technical quality lend weight to the theory that Khamenei may now be operating from a more secure, possibly underground, aligns with reports from the London-based news channel, Iran International, which claimed that he had been moved to an underground bunker in Lavizan, northeastern low bitrate strongly suggests that the video was manually or tool-compressed after filming. The audio was also downsampled—likely to remove ambient noise that could reveal clues about his marks a clear deviation from his typical broadcast quality, which involves professional-grade cameras and high-fidelity aggressive compression of audio and video quality is likely intended to strip ambient cues and reduce metadata, thereby minimising the risk of geolocation or acoustic POWER CENTREFor decades, Ayatollah Khamenei has been at the heart of Iran's hard-line foreign policy, positioning the country as a counterweight to American, Israeli, and Saudi influences across West Iran's supreme leader, he sits above all other branches of government. He appoints the heads of the judiciary, state media and key security agencies, and he holds final authority over who can run for Khamenei also controls foreign and military policy, overseeing the Revolutionary Guards Corps, which defends Iran's Islamic system and sits apart from the rest of the military, and the powerful Quds Force, which directs Iran's foreign operations across the Middle East. His authority extends to the nuclear program, placing him at the centre of Iran's escalating confrontation with Watch

Tadaweb raises $20 million to scale Small Data PAI and OSINT Operating System
Leading cybersecurity investors Arsenal Growth and Forgepoint Capital International head investment to accelerate PAI/OSINT Small Data leader's global expansion LUXEMBOURG, June 19, 2025--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tadaweb has secured $20 million to scale its Small Data Operating System for publicly available information (PAI) and open-source intelligence (OSINT). The software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform is used by defence, national security, public safety, cyber threat intelligence and corporate security organisations across Europe and the U.S to boost the efficiency of analysts and investigators by reducing time to insight from days to minutes. Accelerating PAI and OSINT analysis productivity PAI is information found in public sources, whether in print media, online platforms, social media, public records, websites, blogs, forums, imagery, and videos. OSINT refers to the process of collecting, analysing, and disseminating publicly available data points to support decision-making. OSINT is estimated to account for between 80 and 90% of information-gathering activities carried out by law enforcement agencies and other government entities.1 Being able to rapidly analyse PAI offers public and private sector organisations access to accurate and actionable information in markets frequently disrupted by political turmoil and economic instability. However, information overload can overwhelm even the most well-resourced organisations, making it increasingly difficult for analysts and end users to quickly surface the most valuable insights and make critical decisions. Putting humans' tradecraft first with a Small Data approach Small Data refers to the amount of information that a human can process, combining precision data points to get the right answer. Tadaweb augments human analysts' Small Data skills with an Operating System enhanced by AI that brings together a suite of products to integrate seamlessly with third-party web tools and APIs, ingesting data from PAI, commercially available information, and emerging sources. While most solutions focus solely on automation and Big Data, Tadaweb flips the model, with a solution that reduces investigation time to insight from days to minutes. This problem is widely understood in the market, and thus Tadaweb is trusted and adopted by analysts of varying levels of expertise. As a result, Tadaweb users are better equipped to meet mission-critical priorities, from reducing fraud and identifying potential threats, to minimising supply chain disruptions and mitigating financial losses. The company's customers include government agencies in defence, national security and public safety across Europe and the US, as well as private sector cyber threat intelligence and corporate security organisations. Francois Gaspard, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Tadaweb, said: "Our mission is to make the world safer by empowering the human mind with the right information at the right time. Almost everyone is looking to AI for a solution. Our focus is on transparency, not delivering another black box. We embrace AI, while ensuring our solution keeps the human in control. True impact comes from putting humans in the centre. By augmenting analysts with our Small Data Operating System, we're doing just that." Leading sector-focused investors join the team Arsenal Growth and Forgepoint Capital International led the investment, with participation from existing investor Wendel. Both Jason Rottenberg, General Partner at Arsenal Growth, and Damien Henault, Managing Director at Forgepoint Capital International, will join the Tadaweb board. The capital will advance the company's momentum, supporting product development and recruiting top talent as Tadaweb continues its worldwide expansion and go-to-market across public and private sectors. Jason Rottenberg, co-founder and General Partner at Arsenal Growth, said: "Tadaweb has built a genuinely human-centric Operating System that is solely focused on making analysts dramatically more productive. The company is uniquely positioned to accelerate its customers' ability to harness the vast opportunities of OSINT, irrespective of their sector focus, with an ambitious team that is building an extraordinary company." Damien Henault, Managing Director at Forgepoint Capital International, said: "Many players claim to help organisations with OSINT, but they offer a set of features, not a fully integrated end-to-end platform. Three things attracted us to Tadaweb and how its Operating System helps analysts be more productive: its Small Data approach combined with a unique low/no-code visual query engine, the way it prioritises the human analyst, not the data, and its hyper-focused management team committed to delivering value for its customers." This funding brings the total investment in Tadaweb to $40 million, following Wendel's initial backing of $18 million in 2023 and $2 million from angel investors in 2015. Notes to editors Sources 1 About Tadaweb Tadaweb delivers an Operating System for PAI and OSINT that augments analysts with a Small Data approach, enabling them to reach new levels of hyper-efficiency and reducing time to insight from days to minutes. Punjab Police arrests two members of inter-state cyber fraud gang
Chandigarh, The cyber crime division of the Punjab Police has busted an inter-state gang involved in investment fraud and arrested two persons, a senior official said on Tuesday. He said Varun Kumar was arrested from Panchkula in Haryana and Sahil Sethi from Abohar in Punjab. According to Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav, the gang used to lure people through Telegram and WhatsApp groups by offering high profits in 'stock market investments'. The fraudsters used to convince the victims to install a fake K application, which projected huge returns on their invested amount. With the application showing fake profits, the victims continued to 'invest' money by transferring them to different bank accounts as directed by the fraudsters. DGP Yadav said the gang's kingpins used to give commission to the arrested accused based on the amounts being transferred into the bank accounts. "Preliminary investigation has revealed that the arrested accused were involved in 34 other cyber fraud complaints filed across 14 states, with the total scam amount exceeding ₹8 crore," Yadav said, adding that a probe is on to uncover the virtual mobile numbers and the broader network behind these fraudulent activities. Sharing the details, Additional Director General of Police , Cyber Crime, V Neeraja said that a thorough investigation was carried out under the supervision of Inspector Jujhar Singh after a victim, who was duped of ₹15 lakh, filed a complaint. The team, using multiple OSINT techniques and technical assistance from the Samanvay portal of Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre, managed to establish the identity of the accused persons and eventually arrested them, the ADGP added. Germany and France increase security at Jewish sites amid Iran threat
Germany has announced it is increasing security around Israeli and Jewish sites within its borders due to growing concerns about potential attacks from Iran. France has also put similar measures in place. Amichai Chikli, Israel's Minister for Diaspora Affairs, spoke to Euronews, warning that the threat to Jewish communities and Israeli embassies is now greater than ever. "It is obvious that after we managed to hit the top leadership of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, they would want revenge and to hit Israeli embassies, [and] Jewish communities, and therefore we need to be much more alert than usual," Chikli said. "We are monitoring everything we can based on OSINT. And obviously we have security services who are working with foreign security services to make sure that embassies, Jewish community centres are being protected." The recent protests in Brussels have raised alarm for the safety of the Jewish community in Belgium. At least 75,000 people participated in the "red line" protests against Israel's actions in Gaza on Sunday. Chikli expressed his concerns regarding the violence and anti-Semitic sentiment visible during the march. "We are highly concerned about what's happening now in Belgium. We see violent demonstrations. We see signs of 'wanted people' against Jewish leaders, rabbis in the streets of Belgium and we've seen no condemnation. We've seen no action from the authorities in Belgium and we hope that we will be able to see more serious steps to protect the Jewish community in Belgium," Chikli said. In response to Israel's recent attack on Iran, EU leaders have called for restraint and diplomacy. The President of the European Commission reaffirmed Israel's right to defend itself and protect its citizens, while urging all parties to work towards a peaceful resolution.
