Singh was speaking with security personnel at Northern Command in Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur, where he vowed that Pakistan's strategy to give India a thousand wounds won't succeed. When Pakistan targeted Indian military sites, India responded by launching missile and drone strikes at 11 vital military bases. 'Any terror attack on the soil of India will prove disastrous for Pakistan. India is ready to take any type of action against terrorism,' Singh said while addressing soldiers at the Northern Command headquarters in Udhampur, where he participated in International Yoga Day celebrations. With Army chief Upendra Dwivedi by his side, he added, 'Operation Sindoor is not over yet... through this operation, we have told Pakistan that continuing terrorism against India will not be tolerated and the response will get from bad to worse.' Under Operation Sindoor, the Armed Forces targeted terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir during the night of May 6 and 7. The strikes were carried out in retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, which claimed the lives of 26 people, most of them tourists. Be it war or peace, on the border or during challenges, in every situation the army has preserved and upheld the spirit of sharing food in the Bada Khana together.' According to news agency ANI, Singh emphasised that Bada Khana is much more than a meal – it is a reminder that the Indian Army is a family, one not bound by blood but by patriotism, dedication, and sacrifice. "Bada Khana reminds us that we are not just soldiers, but a family – not tied by blood, but bonded forever by patriotism, duty, and sacrifice," said the Defence Minister. Speaking to the army personnel, Singh said, "It is a great feeling to arrive in Udhampur. This place holds an important role in protecting our northern borders. It is a matter of happiness for me that I get the opportunity to meet you on this special occasion." At the gathering, he said, "When we are all together, many of our soldiers are still at their posts – some in snow-covered regions, some at higher altitudes, and some keeping a vigilant eye on the enemy across the border." He said, "Bada Khana is not just a tradition, but a tribute to every soldier – including those deployed in remote, inhospitable areas. This event is also dedicated to all those heroes. They may not be physically present here, but they live in the hearts of every soldier."

Security boosted at military facilities in the US, says US military
WASHINGTON, June 14 (Reuters) - The U.S. military has stepped up security at all military installations in the United States "based on world events," U.S. Northern Command said on Saturday, as Israel launched a second day of airstrikes against Iran. U.S. Northern Command, which oversees the defense of the continental U.S. and Alaska, said in a statement that employees and visitors "should plan for increased security measures" at its installations "and/or longer wait times" to enter them. Additional security measures at all facilities "will be maintained as long as necessary. We are not aware of specific threats to installations," the statement said.
