CM highlights NDA's work in state, says oppn talks rubbish

1 2 Patna: CM Nitish Kumar on Friday said while the NDA govt has been working for Bihar's all-round development, the opposition continues to spread "nonsense". He also thanked Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi for announcing that the caste census would be conducted alongside the national decadal census. Taking aim at the previous RJD-Congress regime, Nitish said, "These people are carrying on with nonsense and misleading propaganda." Speaking at a public rally at Jasoli in Siwan before the PM's address, Nitish praised Modi for aiding Bihar's development. He highlighted 28 newly launched projects, including 22 under the urban development and housing department and six road schemes worth Rs 5,900 crore. These include the Patliputra Junction-Gorakhpur Vande Bharat train and the export of locomotives from Marhaura in Saran to the Republic of Guinea. "These projects will greatly benefit Bihar," Nitish said. He thanked the crowd and asked if such a large number of people, especially women and girls, had ever attended rallies before he took office in 2005. Referring to their presence, he said the NDA govt had given 50% reservation to women in panchayati raj institutions and urban local bodies. "They (RJD) did nothing for women or Bihar during their rule, but now talk rubbish (altu-faltu baat). by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like New Cooling Tech Making Ductless ACs Go Mainstream [take a look] Keep Cool Click Here Undo Did people even step out of their homes then? Nitish Kumar thanks PM Modi, highlights NDA's achievements in Bihar

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of key infrastructure and development projects in the state on Friday. Addressing the massive crowd gathered at the venue, Nitish Kumar said, 'It is a matter of great happiness that the Prime Minister has come to Siwan. I warmly welcome and congratulate him.' He listed the projects being launched, which include 22 urban development projects, six road projects, a rail project, and the launch of two new trains, including the Vande Bharat Express, and the first export of a locomotive from Bihar's Madhura rail factory. Nitish emphasised that Bihar stands to gain significantly from these initiatives. In a veiled attack on the RJD, Nitish Kumar remarked: 'People are talking 'nonsense' these days. It is meaningless. They should be asked what the condition of Bihar was before our government. No one could even step outside their homes. Look at today, so many people, including women and youth, have gathered here to listen to the Prime Minister.' He highlighted the longstanding partnership between JDU and BJP, recalling that since November 24, 2005, the NDA alliance has continuously worked for Bihar's development. Nitish underscored the state government's work in the sectors of education, health, and especially women's empowerment. 'We gave 50 per cent reservation to women. We constructed bridges, ensured tap water and electricity under Saat Nischay (Seven Resolves), and built toilets in every home. Even new houses and settlements are being provided with facilities,' Kumar said. He also mentioned employment efforts: 'Government jobs were provided to thousands of youth, both men and women. I have personally inspected development work across the state and cleared 430 new schemes. Work has already started in Siwan, Gopalganj, and Saran.' The rally marked PM Modi's fifth visit to Bihar in 2025, as the state heads toward assembly elections later this year.

There's no sign of governance left, and the chief minister has lost all authority.' Criticizing the NDA alliance, Yadav added, 'The administration is in total disarray under this government. No one is safe in Bihar. Nitish ji is creating rules to get AK-47-wielding criminals released from jail. Those who carry AK-47s are being protected by him, he is facilitating their escape." Tejashwi alleges RSS control; NDA leaders hit back

Patna: RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav on Wednesday quoted the statement of rural works department (RWD) minister Ashok Choudhary and said the JD(U) leader endorsed his statement that CM Nitish Kumar was acting on the advice of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Choudhary said his son-in-law Saayan Kunal was appointed to the Bihar state board of religious trust as a member from the RSS quota. Tejashwi, who is the chairman of the opposition coordination committee for the state assembly elections this year, said the JD(U) leaders are themselves saying that CM Nitish's reins are in the hands of RSS and BJP. "CM should tell where else RSS quota is there," he asked. However, senior JD(U) leader and rural development department minister Shravan Kumar refuted Tejashwi's charges and said neither the most powerful person nor any powerful organisation in the world can influence the work of Nitish. "He has his own thoughts and vision and he made the word 'Bihari' a matter of pride. He made Bihar the first state where power supply has reached every household and where 1.20 lakh teachers were appointed in a single day. He has proved that the country can progress only by following the path he has carved out for Bihar." Shravan said the 2025 assembly election results will give a befitting reply to those who had made 'Bihar' word a matter of shame during their rule. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Step-by-Step Warehouse Cleaning Guide SearchMore Learn More Undo Union minister of state Nityanand Rai clarified that all the people appointed in the commissions have been selected solely on the basis of merit and experience.
