Indian markets likely to open higher tracking positive global cues The Indian market is expected to trade higher on Tuesday, buoyed by positive global cues. On Monday, the Nifty Futures closed with a gain of 0.68%, settling at 24,567 levels. Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) were net buyers, purchasing shares worth Rs 498 crore. Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) also remained bullish, with net purchases of Rs 2,789 crore. Options data and technical view Live Events On the options front, the highest Call Open Interest (OI) is seen at the 24,500 and 25,000 strike prices, while the highest Put OI is at 24,000 and 24,400 strikes. Call writing is visible at the 24,500 and 24,700 levels, whereas Put writing is observed at 24,400 and 24,500 levels. 'Options data suggests a broader trading range between 24,000 to 25,000 zones, with an immediate range of 24,300 to 24,700 levels,' said Chandan Taparia, Analyst – Derivatives at Motilal Oswal Financial Services . 'Nifty formed a small-bodied candle on the daily chart on Monday and has been making higher lows for the past two sessions,' he added. 'Now the index must hold above the 24,400 zone to move higher toward 24,650 and 24,750 levels, while support is placed at 24,200 and then 24,050,' Taparia noted.
