Apple Confirms The ‘Personal' Siri AI Upgrade Not Coming Till Next Year

Reported By : Last Updated: June 10, 2025, 09:00 IST Apple has confirmed the personal Siri AI upgrade is not ready yet Apple WWDC 2025 had new iOS versions, new features for Mac users and other devices. But the company's AI release list only had a recap of the existing feature and some bad news as people are waiting to see the AI-powered Siri roll out. Apple's Craig Federighi went through the Apple Intelligence features such as writing tools, emoji/image creation, cleaning up photos, finding media, summarising content, etc. while focusing on privacy. And later on he shared some expected updates around Siri and when the new version is expected to release in the market. Not Surprising Federighi said the company is doing its best to make the AI-powered Siri 'more personal" but confirmed that bringing these changes and enhancements will require time to reach the standard that Apple aspires to offer. Apple and AI is becoming a fractious deal and it seems we might have to wait longer to see its recent AI changes come to fruition. WWDC 2025 will be 12 months since Apple first introduced its AI features and showed us the promising Siri AI demos. Now one year later the company is being more honest with its situation and not going overboard with promises that cannot be fulfilled. Apple has privately realised its mistake in understating the AI impact and the Siri AI upgrade is not expected before 2026, something that Federighi has indirectly conveyed during the WWDC 2025 keynote this week. He is equally pivotal to the company's slow movements in the AI arena because of his early apprehensions around the hype of AI in the industry. The keynote made it clear that Apple has a long way to go before it can catch up with Google and OpenAI and sometimes acceptance is more important to get a fresh start. Now, everyone, including Apple's shareholders, will be hoping that WWDC 2025 is the step in the right direction that will bear fruits in the next 12 months. iPhone 17 Pro Cases Leaked: How The New Camera Design Might Look Like

Last Updated: The iPhone 17 Pro camera design could see some visual changes that Apple could benefit from in more than one way this year. The iPhone 17 Pro camera layout could see some changes (Photo courtesy: Majin Bu) The iPhone 17 Pro model is getting a different camera layout this year, at least going by the rumours and leaks that we have seen till date. The iPhone 17 Pro cases have leaked earlier this month, which suggests Apple is hopefully going to make some changes to the premium version, and make it look different from the current iPhone 16 Pro series. The iPhone 17 Pro will not see changes in the number of cameras and even the layout of the lenses will be identical to the 16 Pro models but Apple could add a new twist to the design which could become a money-making prospect. advetisement iPhone 17 Pro Camera Design Change: New Horizon The camera design via the leaks tells us a new story that will keep Apple happy for a few years. The camera bar rumoured to feature on the iPhone 17 Pro will have scope for its own accessory that lets you customise the device at the back. How is that possible? A tipster named Majin Bu claims third-party companies are already making camera covers for the wide camera bar on the iPhone 17 Pro. Yes, not just a cover for the iPhone but for the camera itself (happy dance, Apple team). Over the years Apple has used its design tweaks to create new use cases, the AirPods being some of the biggest examples, and it seems the iPhone 17 Pro camera cover could be another ring into its coffers, if the product does turn out as viewed in the leaks. iPhone 17 Pro Cameras Change? The 17 Pro triple camera setup is likely to get a LiDAR scanner, along with a trio of 48MP sensors, out of which one of them could be a periscope telephoto lens. The bigger changes and upgrades are likely to be reserved for the iPhone 19 series as suggested in multiple reports this year but for what it is worth, the iPhone 17 Pro might not be a design-look alike dud after all. The new iPhone 17 series will come with the iOS 19 version that will be announced at the WWDC 2025 keynote in June before the big iPhone 17 launch around September this year. Gmail Users Face Serious Risk Of Being Hacked: Beware Of These Emails In Your Inbox

Last Updated: Gmail phishing scam has Google worried because the hackers are easily able to bypass its strict checks and people are at risk because of that. Gmail has a major scam warning and Google is seriously worried about how it can be used to hack users, and steal their data. The mailing client used by billions has been given major security upgrades but hackers are getting equally smarter and sophisticated, which means people might not be even alarmed in some cases and give these scammers easy access to their account. The new Gmail scam has definitely alarmed Google, so much that the company had to intervene and act on the issues that have made it easy for the hackers to bypass its stringent system. Gmail Scam: What Are Hackers Doing Google says there is a critical malware campaign on the rise which the hackers are using to dupe their victims and coercing them into sharing their private details. The warning has come about after a user named Nick Johnson shared a scary post on X which details the modus operandi of these scams and it does look worrying. He claims he got a very official-looking mail from Google with an email address that would generally not worry people. However, the content of the mail should have been enough to set the alarm bells ringing. Johnson says the mail was about a subpoena issued for his Google account data. The email even had a link for the Google-like support page which was actually the phishing site where the hackers wanted the victim to share their details. The company has realised the issue and talked about how the phishing campaign was spreading at large. Google even highlighted the flaws that were exploited to push these emails without getting caught. The company will soon push out updates to fix the loophole that makes these attacks vulnerable. AI scams are on the rise but this Gmail phishing scam sounds scary not only because of how the hackers were able to exploit the vulnerabilities but also make the user believe the mail is genuine. Google says till the time its update fixes the issues, they should not click or open emails with threats or warnings like these. The company also says you should enable two-factor security for your Gmail account and even enable passkey to make its security stronger.
