Netflix is letting fans step into their favorite shows with new themed ‘houses'

For years, streaming audiences have let Netflix into their homes. Now, the subscription platform is opening its doors to fans as part of its latest string of in-person experiences. The South Bay media company is launching three permanent retail spaces, called Netflix Houses, packed with games, food, exclusive merchandise and more in an effort to create 'immersive story-driven experiences,' according to the platform. The first two Netflix Houses are set to open later this year in Dallas and Philadelphia, with a third slated for the Las Vegas Strip in 2027. Each space is expected to span more than 100,000 square feet and will spotlight a different selection of Netflix's hit shows and films. 'This is fandom coming to life, where you can actually step inside the worlds you've been watching and loving for years,' Marian Lee, Netflix's chief marketing officer, said in a statement. 'With fresh experiences dropping regularly, there's always a new reason to come back.' Fans can sign up online to be alerted about early access to tickets to the daytime experience. Philadelphia's Netflix House, located in the King of Prussia Mall, will include a 'twisted tour' of the Eve of the Outcasts Festival from the horror series 'Wednesday' and a 'high-stakes race' toward a mysterious Devil Fruit from the live action adaptation of 'One Piece,' in addition to virtual reality games from Sandbox VR, Top 9 mini golf and a Tudum theater for screening events. The Galleria Dallas location will allow fans to journey through a 'Stranger Things' backdrop to solve a mystery and face off with friends in 'Squid Game' activities. It will also feature a game room complete with physical challenges, arcade games and more. Both locations will include Netflix Bites, a restaurant that serves themed food and drinks, as well as a merchandise store. No details on the Las Vegas Netflix House have been announced, but a Netflix Bites opened inside the MGM Grand earlier this year.

The first two Netflix entertainment complexes will open at the end of the year

Looking to grab an official Tires shirt or a sandwich based on Arnold Schwarzenegger's FUBAR ? Netflix will have you covered in the near future. The streaming platform's long-promised Netflix House amusement centers will open up shop in Dallas and outside of Philadelphia by the end of the year , with a third location coming to Las Vegas in 2027. These 100,000-square feet behemoths will operate throughout the year and will celebrate all things Netflix. There's a retail component, a restaurant called Netflix Bites and all kinds of "immersive story-driven experiences" based on some of its biggest shows. The locations will also offer mini-golf, which maybe is a tribute to that one episode of Cobra Kai ? We aren't sure about that one. As for the aforementioned story-driven experiences, the locations will include stuff like the iconic 'Red Light, Green Light' race from Squid Game and a Demogorgan chase inspired by Stranger Things . Netflix says each location will "regularly update its offerings" so these experiences should vary. The platform promises experiences based on hits like Wednesday , One Piec e and the Knives Out movie franchise. Sadly, there was no mention of Is it Cake? or the social media-adjacent reality show The Circle . I want to sit in a weirdly-decorated room and talk to strangers on the internet! Wait a minute. I already do that. The Philadelphia location is being built at King of Prussia Mall and the Dallas branch will exist at Galleria Dallas. The third location pops up in the Las Vegas Strip at BLVD Las Vegas in 2027. Netflix-heads can sign up for an early visit right here . The first two Netflix Houses will finally open in late 2025

Netflix has announced that its first two Netflix House venues will open in late 2025. There's still no specific opening date yet. The venues were first announced in late 2023 and later confirmed for two initial locations in the US including the King of Prussia Mall outside Philadelphia and the Galleria Dallas mall in Texas. They'll be taking over the locations of former department stores. The streaming platform also announced it's already planning to expand the idea with a third Netflix House set to open sometime in 2027. It will be located on the Vegas strip at the Blvd Las Vegas shopping center, which is next to the MGM Grand resort. That's where the temporary Netflix Bites restaurant is currently operating until early 2026, but Netflix says there will be permanent locations of the restaurant at its two venues opening later this year. Both venues will each feature their own 'experiences, offerings and programming' that will be 'updated regularly giving fans a different adventure every time they visit,' according to a press email sent by Sabryna Phillips Oliver. But Oliver also shared more details about what each will open with. The Dallas location will include Stranger Things: Escape the Dark and Squid Game: Survive the Trials experiences, as well as a Netflix RePLAY arcade featuring 'physical challenges, immersive story rooms, and retro-style games where you can take on your friends, or play as a team.' The Philadelphia Netflix House sounds like it will be the larger of the two initial locations with Wednesday: Eve of the Outcasts and One Piece: Quest for the Devil Fruit experiences, Netflix Virtuals with VR games from Sandbox VR, a nine-hole mini golf course, and the TUDUM Theater, which will show Netflix series, movies, and fan events like trivia on a big screen. In addition to the larger experiences, the Netflix House's 'expansive spaces' will also feature elements from other shows and movies available on the streaming platform, including Bridgerton, Love Is Blind, Big Mouth, Knives Out, and Floor Is Lava.

What's inside the Netflix House locations opening later this year

Netflix on Tuesday spilled more details about its retail stores coming to the Philadelphia and Dallas areas later this year and unveiled plans to open a third location in Las Vegas in 2027. The more than 100,000-square-foot locations, called Netflix House, will sell merchandise and food based on popular Netflix programs and will have immersive activities pulled from series including 'Wednesday' and 'Squid Game.' At Netflix House Philadelphia, located inside the King of Prussia Mall, visitors explore the Eve of Outcasts Festival that falls under Wednesday's spell where they will discover 'games, mis-fortunes and horrifying surprises,' Netflix said. The location will also have virtual reality games where fans can play the main character inside the worlds of Netflix programs, watch fan events on a big screen inside a theater and play mini golf inspired by programming. There will also be an interactive experience based on pirate series 'One Piece,' where visitors can dodge villains to reach the Devil Fruit. Netflix House at Galleria Dallas will have a game room and immersive experiences based on 'Stranger Things' and 'Squid Game,' where players will engage in 'diabolical games.' The Netflix House location opening in Las Vegas will be at BLVD on the strip. Netflix House is part of a larger effort by the streamer to keep its fans engaged with in-person retail and events. The company has launched more than 40 experiences, reaching 10 million fans in 300 cities, , such as candlelight concerts and balls inspired by 'Bridgerton.' The company has partnered with brands and retailers on clothing, toys, lotions and snacks based on their shows. Earlier this year, Netflix opened a restaurant inside MGM Grand in Las Vegas called Netflix Bites that features Netflix-themed foods like 'WWE Smashburger' or a three-tiered tea service inspired by 'Bridgerton,' according to the restaurant's website. Netflix Bites, which serves food and cocktails, will also be located in each of the upcoming Netflix House locations too.

Bite into the plot: How movies are stirring up the menus

Once confined to screens, cinematic storytelling has now spilled over into our plates and glasses. Across India and beyond, restaurants and cafés are embracing the trend of OTT-inspired dining — crafting immersive menus that blur the lines between food and film. Whether it's a glitter-dusted mocktail echoing Disney's Encanto (2021 )or a tasting menu that channels the spirit of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011), this isn't just about themed meals — it's about eating emotions, tasting plotlines and sipping cinematic nostalgia. The phenomenon gained traction earlier this year when Netflix launched Netflix Bites at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas (USA). On the menu? Squid Game-style snacks and Bridgerton-inspired brunches. It wasn't long before restaurants around the world followed suit. Viewers didn't just want to binge-watch anymore but also binge-eat their favourite shows. As Josh Simon, Vice President of Consumer Products at Netflix, puts it: 'Fans don't just want merch anymore. They want experiences.' This genre of dining goes beyond clever names. A dish isn't just tasty — it's dramatic, poetic, even bittersweet. Menus read like screenplays; a salad might serve as the emotional reset of Act Two. The goal? To evoke the narrative through taste. At EnCanto, a Gurugram café named after the 2021 Disney film, food becomes pure sensory magic. 'OTT shows are no longer something we just binge,' says director Tusheeta Khanna, adding, 'They're part of our emotional vocabulary.' Their star drink, the Casita Cooler — a shimmering mocktail of coconut water, pineapple, and passionfruit — is designed to feel like stepping inside the film's enchanted house of the same name. In Bengaluru, ParTTwo channels the essence of Endless Summer (1966), a surf documentary that celebrates eternal sunshine and travel. Chef Karan Upmanyu crafts dishes like the Wai-Wai Salad, a grown-up spin on the beloved Nepali snack. With cold shrimp, pomelo, crispy noodles, and cabbage, it captures both nostalgia and freshness. 'Summer is about joy, boldness, and friendships,' he says. 'That's what we've tried to plate.' Seasonal ingredients like mango and pumpkin get unexpected, playful treatments — culinary nods to carefree memories and sun-drenched wanderlust. Taking the idea even further, Sunset Cinema Club and The Piano Man group in Delhi teamed up to create a night where films and food come together in a full-blown sensory celebration. Arjun Sagar Gupta from The Piano Man says, 'This initiative lets us take storytelling to a new level with curated menus and drinks.' Their first pick, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, feels just right. With its vibrant Spanish setting and emotionally charged travel narrative, the film offered plenty to work with. Chef Manoj designed a Spanish-inspired tasting menu with cocktails named after the film's characters to match its mood and key scenes. 'All the dishes are linked to specific moments in the film,' explains Sahil. 'The menu features churros con patatas, bruschettas, hearty stews, and tapas-style bites, along with table snacks like truffle popcorn. Each one is designed to echo a scene or emotion from Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.' At Taste Cinemas — with locations across India — the cinematic dining experience is literal. Their recent Twilight-inspired event featured a nine-course menu, from blood-red shots to edible baseballs, recreating the film's love story bite by bite.
