Nebraska football hosts 2027 four-star offensive tackle on Wednesday
Class of 2027 four-star offensive tackle Cameron Wagner was back in Lincoln for a visit on Wednesday. He posted about the visit on social media. Wagner is the No. 49 overall player in the 2027 class. He is the fourth overall player in the state of Illinois and the seventh overall player at his position per Rivals rankings. He measures in at six-foot-six, 300 pounds. Advertisement Wagner has been receiving attention from several prominent schools. This includes old Big Ten and SEC schools. Illinois, Iowa, Ohio State, Penn State, and Purdue have all extended him offers. He has visited Nebraska twice, doing so on November 23 and April 12. Currently, the 2027 Nebraska football recruiting class has one commitment in quarterback Trae Taylor. The program has made it a point to get offensive lineman visitors for this class, and Wagner appears to be one of the top targets on their board. This is a recruitment worth watching. Nebraska offers class of 2027 Missouri wide receiver
Nebraska football offered class of 2027 wide receiver Justyn Lindsay on Saturday. Lindsay made the announcement on social media. The wide receiver was a part of Nebraska's Friday camp, where quarterback Trae Taylor was also in attendance. Advertisement Lindsay measures in at six-foot-one, 150 pounds. He currently plays at Blue Springs South High School in Missouri. Currently, the 2027 Nebraska football recruiting class has one commitment in Trae Taylor. The latter has been very active with the program over the past couple of months, having attended several camps in June. The Huskers have attempted to open the Missouri pipeline over the past couple of recruiting classes. Wide receiver Isaiah Mozee is one example in the 2025 class, and Jamar Mozee is a senior football assistant for the program. He has heavily recruited the Missouri area. Nebraska's camps have yielded several offers over the past couple of weeks, and that is certainly a positive sign. Nebraska extends offer to rising class of 2028 quarterback
Nebraska football extended an offer to class of 2028 quarterback Gavin Hampton. He made the announcement on social media on Saturday. Hampton's profile has grown over the past couple of months. He has received offers from Jacksonville State, Arkansas State, Mississippi State, Miami (Ohio), and Toledo just this month alone. Advertisement The quarterback has also attended several camps. He has attended prospect camps at Vanderbilt, Penn, Duke and MTSU among others. Hampton threw for 1,806 yards and 17 touchdowns in seven games last season. He is viewed as a pro-style quarterback. The quarterback room appears to be set for 2025 and 2026. However, it's never too early to start planning for the future at the position, especially with the quarterback position itself being highly valued. Nebraska getting visit from key running back target this weekend
Nebraska football is set to host class of 2026 running back target Jamal Rule. He is coming to Lincoln from June 13- 15th. Rule is the 41st overall running back in the 2026 class and the 31st overall player in his class from the state of North Carolina, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He has visited Nebraska once before Friday's visit. He took a trip to Lincoln on November 23, 2024. The running back has had a busy summer. He took a visit to Syracuse on May 30, Virginia Tech on June 6, and has a visit set up for Michigan State on June 20. All of these visits will be official. Rule ran for 1,236 yards and 15 touchdowns last year. He had seven games of 100 yards or more, and averaged 176.6 yards per contest, per statistics from The Huskers are trying to add one more running back for the 2026 class. Rule would be a key get, with other targets beginning to come off the board. Nebraska hosted 7 on 7 tournament praised by players and coaches Nebraska Football hosted the Battle of the Boneyard 7 on 7 tournament on Friday, and it is proving to be a success. Multiple 7 on 7 coaches have confirmed that other events have already reached out to learn how Nebraska is running the weekend. This was reported by Tim Verghese on Friday. Verghese also noted that this is the first-ever sponsored brand tournament on the Nebraska campus. The tournament itself was sponsored by Adidas. Class of 2027 Nebraska football quarterback commit Trae Taylor elected to be part of this, playing on the Miami Raw team. He had a productive day on Friday and was able to connect with fellow 2027 recruit Ahmad Hudson for multiple touchdowns. Hudson is the top tight end in the 2027 class per Rivals rankings. Several prominent figures in the NFL circle showed up as well. Former Carolina Panthers and New England Patriots quarterback Cam Newton came to Lincoln, as his 7 on 7 team, C1N was present. Former Nebraska football running back Ameer Abdullah also made an appearance on Friday. All in all, this appears to be another successful venture organized by the football program and athletic department. There should be a ton of news to come out of this weekend.
