As the summer heats up, so does the streaming slate. Whether you're in the mood for period drama, psychological thrillers, gripping documentaries or light-hearted comedy, this week's new releases promise something for everyone. From the return of 'The Buccaneers' to emotional reckonings in 'Grenfell: Uncovered', here's a round-up of all the top titles arriving on your favourite platforms this week. 'The Great Indian Kapil Show' returns with its signature cocktail of chaos, comedy, and celebrity madness, this time with both Navjot Singh Sidhu and Archana Puran Singh sharing the judging spotlight. As Kapil Sharma reclaims his throne as India's king of punchlines, he's joined once again by fan favourites Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, and Rajiv Thakur, who bring the full circus back to your screens. 'The Buccaneers' returns with Season 2, and the American newcomers have fully transplanted into 1870s British society, juggling duchess duties, scandalous family secrets, and tumultuous love triangles. This psychological thriller, based on the best-selling novel by E. Lockhart, focuses on 17‑year‑old Cadence Sinclair Eastman (Emily Alyn Lind) as she returns to her family's private island in New England after a mysterious accident wiped out her summer memories. 'The Waterfront' is an upcoming American drama series created by Kevin Williamson, set to premiere on Netflix on June 19, 2025. Starring Holt McCallany as Harlan Buckley, Maria Bello as Mae Buckley, Melissa Benoist as Bree Buckley, and Jake Weary as Cane Buckley, the series follows the troubled Buckley family as they struggle to save their crumbling fishing empire in coastal North Carolina. As the legacy of their once-thriving maritime business slips away, long-buried tensions and personal wounds rise to the surface, threatening to sink both the family and their future. In 'Detective Sherdil', Diljit Dosanjh transforms into a charismatic, offbeat investigator whisked away to Budapest to unravel the high-stakes murder of a flashy billionaire whose death masquerades as a 'hate crime'. Joined by the no-nonsense Natasha (Diana Penty), Sherdil must navigate a labyrinth of twisted family dynamics, shadowy betrayals, and billion-dollar secrets that refuse to stay buried. With an ensemble cast including Boman Irani, Ratna Pathak Shah, Chunky Panday, Banita Sandhu, and Sumeet Vyas, every suspect brings their own eccentric flair, making the investigation as colourful as it is complicated. 'Found' Season 2 sees crisis manager-turned crime-fighter Gabi Mosely return with her determined and unconventional team to tackle America's most overlooked missing persons cases. But the stakes are higher than ever, especially as Gabi's dark past resurfaces. This documentary brings together survivors, bereaved families, firefighters, experts, and investigators to tell the harrowing story behind the 2017 Grenfell Tower fire. It meticulously unravels the layers of regulatory neglect, cost-cutting corners, and corporate collusion that turned a preventable blaze into a devastating inferno claiming 72 lives. A sizzling Spanish drama, 'Olympo' highlights the life of synchronised swim captain Amaia Olaberria, who lives under the microscope of perfection at the CAR Pirineos high-performance centre. But her world spirals when teammate and best friend Núria inexplicably overtakes her, forcing Amaia to question everything.

New Delhi: Salman Khan is set to appear as the first guest on the new season of The Great Indian Kapil Show, which will premiere on Netflix on June 21. The much-anticipated season will also mark the return of Navjot Singh Sidhu as a permanent guest on the show. Ahead of the premiere, a leaked video featuring Salman Khan has gone viral. In it, the actor shares his thoughts on rising divorce rates in a humorous tone. Salman says: 'Pehle log ek dusre ke liye sacrifice karte the, ek tolerance ka factor tha. Ab raat ko ek taang aa jaati hai upar, khaarate liye jaate hain, uske upar divorce ho jaata hai.' (Earlier, people used to make sacrifices for each other — there was a sense of tolerance. Now, if a leg comes over during the night, or someone snores, it leads to divorce.) The Unfiltered Version of Salman Khan will never be less entertaining #SalmanKhan talks about relationships and divorce on the Kapil Sharma Show — Pan India Review (@PanIndiaReview) June 14, 2025 He continues: 'Chhoti si misunderstanding pe divorce ho jaata hai. Aur phir divorce toh chalo ho gaya, woh aadhe paise bhi leke chali jaati hai.' (Even a small misunderstanding leads to divorce. And not just that — after the divorce, she even takes half the money with her.) Salman's remarks sparked laughter from the audience, including Archana Puran Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu, who were seen enjoying the moment. However, the clip quickly went viral on social media, dividing the internet. While some found the comment relatable and humorous, others expressed disappointment, calling it a problematic take on relationships and alimony. On the Work Front, Salman Khan was last seen in AR Murugadoss' Sikandar, an action thriller featuring Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles. He will next be seen in a film based on the 2020 Galwan Valley clash with Chinese troops. Salman portrays Colonel B. Santosh Babu, the brave officer who led the 16 Bihar Regiment during the confrontation. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film is inspired by the book India's Most Fearless 3. Several other celebrities, including cricketers Yuzvendra Chahal, Rishabh Pant, Gautam Gambhir, and Abhishek Sharma, are also set to appear in the new season. Along with Kapil Sharma, Archana Puran Singh, and Navjot Singh Sidhu, the show will feature fan-favorite comedians like Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, and Kiku Sharda. The Great Indian Kapil Show: Is Navjot Singh Sidhu being paid more than Archana Puran Singh after 6 years of comeback?
Archana Puran Singh and comedy shows hold a great bond. She continues to be a crucial part of The Great Indian Kapil Show, which is gearing up for its fourth season soon. This time, it's going to be funnier than ever as the show will have two celebrity judges, including Navjot Singh Sidhu. As the Netflix comedy show is about to stream, let's look at how much Archana Puran Singh gets paid per episode and whether she is charging less or more than Navjot. Archana Puran Singh charges Rs 10 lakh to Rs 12 lakh per episode According to a report by Siasat, Archana Puran Singh gets a handsome paycheck of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 12 lakh per episode for being the judge at Kapil Sharma's comedy shows. However, the amount cannot be verified officially at the moment. In a recent interview with The Indian Express, Archana Puran Singh reacted to a troll's comment and Kapil Sharma's joke about being the only one who is 'paid to laugh' on the show. She mentioned that now everything has become a joke. Kapil makes fun of everything, and people take it seriously. She said, "Yes, I am paid to judge a comedy show, which is what I initially started doing with Comedy Circus. Now, I am paid to not judge Kapil's show, but to be a celebrity guest. I don't even know what my role is. Kapil only keeps joking. How am I paid to laugh? In a way, I am paid to enjoy the show, and because my enjoyment is very loud and spontaneous, it translates to I am paid to laugh." Navjot Singh Sindhu joins Archana Puran Singh in The Great Indian Kapil Show Navjot Singh Sidhu will join Archana as the second judge at the show. It will be after six years when Sidhu will sit on the judge's chair in Kapil Sharma's comedy show. He was replaced by Archana Puran Singh, who is still an integral part of the show. According to Filmibeat, he is reportedly charging between Rs 30 lakh and Rs 40 lakh per episode. Though Navjot Singh Sidhu hasn't judged the comedy show for these many years, he graced The Great Indian Kapil Show as a guest along with his wife, Harbhajan Singh, and Geeta Basra.
