‘NYT Mini' Hints For Sunday, June 22: Extra Clues And Answers For Today's Game
Answers for today's NYT Mini Crossword are just ahead. Before we get to today's NYT Mini crossword hints, clues and answers, here are Saturday's: Wondering what man's name fittingly has the same two vowels as BOAT? Not sure what mammal cracks open sea urchins with rocks? Don't worry, because I'm here to help you with extra hints and the answers for today's NYT Mini crossword. The NYT Mini is a quick and dirty version of the newspaper's larger and long-running crossword. Most days, there are between three and five clues in each direction on a five by five grid, but the puzzles are sometimes larger, especially on Saturdays. Unlike its larger sibling, the NYT Mini crossword is free to play on the New York Times website or NYT Games app. However, you'll need an NYT Games subscription to access previous puzzles in the archives. Here are extra hints and the official NYT Mini Crossword clues and answers for Sunday, June 22: Spoilers lie ahead, so remember to scroll slowly: NYT Mini Crossword Hints 1 Across: The Pitt actor Wyle 5 Across: Overindulge at a bar, perhaps 6 Across: Aquatic mammal and a useful transcription service 7 Across: Identifying mark on livestock 8 Across: ____ in i.e. decides to participate 1 Down: Button that makes cars go Fast and Furious? 2 Down: Draught at a bar 3 Down: Bond is a secret one 4 Down: Rounds up a group 5 Down: Marley, Barker or Saget NYT Mini Crossword Clues And Answers 1 Across: Man's name with the same two vowels as BOAT, fittingly – NOAH 5 Across: Watch in one sitting, as a TV series – BINGE 6 Across: Mammal that cracks open sea urchins with rocks – OTTER 7 Across: Publicist's concern – BRAND 8 Across: Chooses, with "for" – OPTS 1 Down: Like some cold brew coffee – NITRO 2 Down: How beer may be served – ON TAP 3 Down: One helping to seal the deal – AGENT 4 Down: Groups of buffalo – HERDS 5 Down: ___ the Drag Queen, RuPaul's Drag Race winner who competed on The Traitors – BOB Completed New York Times Mini crossword for Sunday, June 22. It took me 1:12 to complete today's NYT Mini. A slightly tough one, today, I thought, so I was pretty happy with my time. BINGE was the only Across answer I got on my first pass. NOAH didn't click at all at first and OTTER was on the tip of my tongue, but I decided to move on. I thought 7 Across might have been 'buzz' or 'client' but neither of those were five letters. I'm very glad I got AGENT, HERDS and BOB, because I would have been stumped otherwise. The letters they filled in helped me get NOAH and OTTER, and it was easy to fill in NITRO and ON TAP after those. I'll see you tomorrow for more NYT Mini fun! It took me 2:07 to complete today's NYT Mini. This was a pretty interesting one! I'm fairly happy with that time too, given how stuck I was at some points. I was happy to get JOYFUL right away (I got FINALE and CASTLE at the first attempt too). But I thought GAB was 'yap' and ANIMAL was 'player' at first. Those two incorrect guesses tripped me up a bit when I got to the Down side. A few answers here were critical to me understanding the rest of the grid, as the nexus of ORIGINALS, YOGA MAT, AROUSE and BIG RED were causing me some trouble. Finally figuring out ANIMAL helped me fill in the blanks going Down, while USE did the same for BIG RED (which I've never had, so I was glad to pull that from my memory bank) and AROUSE. What is Wordle
If you've seen those green squares flooding your social media feed or keep hearing your friends and family talk about keeping their Wordle streaks alive, you're probably curious what this game is that has the world hooked. Wordle hit the mainstream in 2022 and has since become part of most people's daily routine. What makes it so addictive is how challenging it can be to solve a puzzle, which makes it important to know the best Wordle starting words or to check out some Wordle answers and hints for any given day's game. Wordle isn't as complicated as Connections, Strands, NYT Crossword, or the Mini Crossword, but it is a little tricky if you've never played it before. I'll go over all the rules and information you need to become a Wordle pro in no time. What is Wordle? Wordle is a guessing game in which you need to try to figure out a different five-letter word each day. The game is played by first guessing a word and seeing what color each letter is given. If a letter is not included in the winning word, it will be grey. A letter that is in the winning word but in the wrong spot will be yellow. A correct letter in the correct space will be green. Recommended Videos Using these clues, you need to type in the word within six attempts to win, similar to the game Mastermind. There is a new word each day, and everyone playing gets the same word. Where can I play Wordle? You can play Wordle daily on the official New York Times Games website, either on your desktop or on mobile. It was previously hosted on its own website, but NYT purchased the game in 2022, and it has been hosted exclusively on the NYT website ever since. You do not need a NYT subscription to play. There is no official Wordle app, but there are plenty of games like Wordle with apps if one game per day isn't enough for you. How to win at Wordle There are plenty of tips and tricks to help you win at Wordle even though the game is different every day. The first big tip we can offer is to pick smart starting words. The first word you guess in Wordle will either set you up for success or failure. I suggest using words with as many vowels as possible, such as 'adieu,' 'media,' and 'arise.' Other good options include words with common consonants, such as 'stern,' 'irate,' and 'atone.' Another good tip is to consider common digraphs, which are when two letters appear together, like 'TH' or 'SH'. Finally, only use uncommon letters like 'J' and 'Z' as a last resort since they are very rare and not likely to help you suss out a word.
