NFL Draft Summer Scouting Report: Iapani Laloulu, C, Oregon Summer is here, and it is everyone's favorite time of the year, scouting time. Every year, we do Summer Scouting to preview college football for Vikings fans, but also give them an idea of names to follow and watch in the fall as needs pop up for Minnesota. Are we going to write about quarterbacks? You know it, but why? Because other NFL teams will draft them, just as they will draft every other position. It all matters whether these players end up on the Vikings, the Bears, or the Steelers. We write these so Vikings fans can be the most informed fans. So if you are still with us, enjoy our latest Summer Scouting report as we prepare you for the Fall. Player Information Player: Iapani Laloulu School: Oregon Height/Weight: 6-2/325 lbs. North Carolina Offense Preview 2025: The Tar Heels Rebuilt Fast
Offensive coordinator Freddie Kitchens has been around for a few years, and he has plenty of interesting parts to work year's Tar Heel offense struggled with its consistency. The passing game didn't do much on a regular basis, the pass protection was lousy, and the O scored 24 points or fewer five times. But the ground attack was solid, the transfer portal cranked up the depth, and this should be a steadier season. X CFN, Fiu | CFN Facebook | Bluesky Fiu, CFN2025 North Carolina Preview North Carolina Defense BreakdownSeason Prediction, Win Total, Keys to Season - The offensive front is undergoing the biggest overhaul. It lost star tackle Howard Sampson to Texas Tech, but three starters are back. Trevyon Green is a 6-7, 340-pound tackle on one side, Austin Blaske is an NFL-sized center, and Aidan Banfield is a promising young King (Troy) and William Boone (Prairie View A&M) are massive prospects among the several new prospects to work around this fall. This group will pound for the ground game, but … - Omarion Hampton is off being a Los Angeles Charger after running for over 3,000 yards with 30 scores over the last two years. A top receiver, he did it all for the offense, and now it's up to No. 2 and Davion Gause to rise up after running for 326 yards and four scores. He and Caleb Hood will form more of a rotation. The ground game will get help from … - Gio Lopez was the big get from the transfer portal. The South Alabama quarterback threw for over 3,000 yards with 22 scores and seven picks, and he ran for over 600 yards with nine touchdowns. He's not big, but he's a dangerous Johnson was the big transfer last year, but he got knocked out for the season early on with a bad leg injury. He'll still get his shot this fall. - The offense will spread the ball around, but the receiving corps is a question mark. Aziah Johnson is a deep threat from Michigan State, but Kobe Paysour is the leading returning receiver with just 21 catches for 365 yards. South Carolina's Connor Cox will rotate in at tight end. He was a 7.5 sack, 12.5 tackle for loss star as a freshman, but was banged up in 2024 and missed most of the first half of the Mesidor led the team with 5.5 sacks and nine tackles for loss as a tackle, but will likely bounce outside to end. Ahmad Moten is a 325-pound anchor inside, and Justin Scott and transfer David Blay (Louisiana Tech) are both big, NFL-sized linemen who can work inside or out. - Leading tackler Francisco Mauigoa will be spending his summer trying to make the New York Jets, but second-leading tackler Wesley Bissainthe is back after making 59 stops. Browns: Harold Fannin Jr. college highlights and what he brings to NFL
Browns: Harold Fannin Jr. college highlights and what he brings to NFL The Browns stuck with offense with their fourth selection at No. 67 overall, as they took Bowling Green State tight end Harold Fannin Jr. Out of Canton, Ohio, Fannin exploded in his final season, where he led the FBS in catches and yards. He has great hands, after-the-catch traits, and the ability to win against defenses on deep or in-breaking routes. Fannin's catch radius is massive, and he has no issue playing through hits. He's just 20 years old and had eye-popping production in his final year at Bowling Green, setting almost every tight end receiving record for the school. Fannin caught 180 passes for 1,555 yards and had elite games against Penn State, where he went for 137 and 145 yards, respectively. On the downsides, Fannin is a bit undersized for a full-time, inline tight end who has to take on big NFL defenders. He occasionally struggled blocking in space, and he will likely struggle to consistently win against NFL-sized defensive ends. He did do well as a lead blocker in zone concepts, but he will need to add size to evolve into a full-time inline tight end. With the likelihood that the Browns increase their 12 personnel uptick in reverting to a more wide-zone centric offense, there was a clear hole at tight end next to David Njoku, Jerry Jeudy, Cedric Tillman, and now Quinshon Judkins. Fannin is an incredibly versatile pass-catcher who will be an intriguing weapon for Cleveland's offense.
