For Iran: PMF supporters protest in Iraq's al-Kadhimiya
Shafaq News/ On Saturday, hundreds of Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) supporters rallied in Baghdad's al-Kadhimiya district, declaring support for Iran. Protesters waved banners and shouted slogans backing Tehran while condemning Israeli airstrikes as 'aggression against the Islamic Republic,' according to Shafaq News Agency's correspondent. The demonstration followed widespread rallies across multiple Iraqi cities on Friday, organized by the Sadrist-led Patriotic Shiite Movement (the Sadrist) in response to a call from its leader, Muqtada al-Sadr, urging protests against Israel's military campaign targeting Iranian sites. Tensions have sharply escalated since June 13, when Iran and Israel entered open confrontation through daily missile and drone strikes. Despite growing international calls for restraint, both sides continue to trade attacks across multiple theaters.

Sadrist protesters rally against Israeli strikes on Iran
Shafaq News/ On Friday, hundreds of the Patriotic Shiite Movement (the Sadrist) supporters demonstrated across Iraq, responding to their leader, Muqtada al-Sadr, to protest against Israeli attacks on Iran. In Baghdad, protesters gathered as Ibrahim al-Jabri, head of al-Sadr's office in the capital, addressed the crowd, accusing Israel of 'violating humanitarian principles by targeting health and education sites in Iran.' As he described Israel and the United States as adversaries of Islamic nations, chants echoed through the demonstration, including 'No No America,' 'No No Israel,' 'Yes Yes to Peace,' and 'Yes Yes to Iraq.' In Karbala, dozens of Sadrist followers and tribal representatives held a peaceful rally followed by a joint Friday prayer in the Hawr district. Participants carried banners criticizing what they called global corruption attributed to Israel and calling for an end to foreign interference in the region. Demonstrators expressed support for Iran, commending its stance on regional issues and opposition to Israeli and US influence. In Babil, hundreds marched to condemn Israeli strikes, voicing opposition to actions they viewed as violations of human rights. Al-Sadr's office quoted him as warning that any attack authorized by the current US president would invite 'divine punishment,' drawing comparisons to the consequences faced by former Presidents Jimmy Carter and George W. Bush over past actions in the Middle East.

Hezbollah supporters demonstrate in support of Iran
by Naharnet Newsdesk 20 June 2025, 14:53 Hundreds of supporters of Hezbollah gathered in Beirut's southern suburbs after Friday afternoon prayers to demonstrate in support of Tehran in the ongoing Israel-Iran war. Demonstrators carried the Iranian, Lebanese and Palestinian flags as well as that of Hezbollah, and chanted "death to America" and "death to Israel." Some also chanted pledges of allegiance to Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who is revered as religious authority by many Shiite Muslims. Hezbollah suffered severe losses in a war with Israel that ended with a U.S.-brokered ceasefire in November and has so far remained on the sidelines the Iran-Israel war. -Thousands demonstrate in Iraq - Thousands of supporters of the influential Iraqi Shiite cleric and political leader Muqtada al-Sadr also took to the streets on Friday in Sadr City, on the outskirts of Baghdad, in response to a call by al-Sadr to show support for Iran in its conflict with Israel. The demonstration began after Friday prayers with protesters wearing white burial shrouds in a symbolic gesture of readiness to sacrifice. Some burned Israeli and U.S. flags. The protest comes during escalating regional tensions. Iran-backed Iraqi militias have so far largely stayed out of the fray in the Israel-Iran war but have threatened to attack U.S. forces and interests in Iraq and the region if Washington launches direct attacks on Iran.

Muqtada al-Sadr calls for nationwide Friday protests against US and Israeli terrorism
Baghdad ( – Influential Iraqi Shia cleric Muqtada al-Sadr on Wednesday (June 18, 2025) called for organized, peaceful demonstrations to be held across Iraq after prayers this coming Friday. In a public statement, Al-Sadr urged his followers to protest in the center of each governorate to condemn what he described as 'Zionist and American terrorism, its colonial expansion, and its hostility towards peoples and religions.' He specifically cited 'aggression against Arab and Islamic countries,' including neighboring Iran, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and Yemen. The call also serves as a condemnation of the 'violation of our internationally protected Iraqi airspace,' which he said would harm the nation. Invoking the legacy of his father, Al-Sadr reiterated the slogan 'No, no to Israel; no, no to America,' framing the US as the 'primary driver of all wars in the world.' He stressed the demonstrations must be peaceful and called on 'sincere ones' to participate while excluding 'the corrupt.' The call to protest comes amid heightened regional tensions following recent Israeli-Iranian military exchanges.
