Before his demise, Mukul Dev shot for his last film, Son Of Sardaar 2, starring Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur. Vindu Dara Singh, who is also a part of the film, mourned Mukul Dev's demise. He shared a heartfelt post remembering his co-actor. While speaking with ETimes, Vindu Dara Singh said, ''He has done such fantastic work in SOS 2. He was my Tony and I was his Tito. He had an amazing role and people are going to roll on the floor laughing after seeing his work in July when the film releases. But unfortunately, he will not be around to enjoy the success and see the love." He also shared, 'I don't think he was suffering from any disease but he used to drink a lot and would have gutkha. He had become overweight and he battled loneliness. He has a daughter but she is also, she was not staying with him. He was making his comeback with Son of Sardaar but the sad part is he won't be there to see it. It is very tragic news." Meanwhile, many other Bollywood celebrities mourned Mukul Dev's death. Nimrat Kaur took to her Instagram stories and wrote, 'Deepest condolences and all my strength and prayers to the whole family and loved ones. @rahuldevofficial sir thinking of you in this dark hour…Rest in peace Mukul sir…" After his brother's death, Rahul Dev shared a brief message on Instagram, confirming Mukul's death and announcing the details of his final rites. 'Our brother Mukul Dev passed away peacefully at New Delhi last night. He's survived by his daughter Sia Dev. Missed by siblings Rashmi Kaushal, Rahul Dev and nephew Sidhant Dev. Please join us for cremation at 5 PM," the note read.
