Cairo - The Egyptians for Investment and Urban Development Company's board agreed, on 18 June, to increase the issued and paid-up capital to EGP 165 million from EGP 150 million. The EGX-listed firm will distribute 15 million bonus shares to 150 million shareholders, reflecting a ratio of one bonus share for every ten shares held, according to a bourse statement. The transaction will be funded from retained earnings of EGP 17.53 million, with EGP 749,865 allocated as a 5% legal reserve, leaving EGP 16.78 million available for distribution. Egypt's central bank announces $48.5bln net foreign reserves, higher remittances
Cairo – The net international reserves (NIR) of Egypt hit $48.52 billion at the end of May 2025, according to the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE). The CBE's data also showed that remittances from Egyptians working abroad hiked by 82.70% year-on-year (YoY) to $26.40 billion in the July 2024 to March 2025 period from $14.40 billion. In the third quarter (Q3) of the fiscal year (FY) 2024/25, the remittances' value jumped by 86.60% YoY to nearly $9.40 billion from $5 billion. Cairo – Golden Pyramids Plaza logged standalone net profits after tax worth $43.66 million in 2024, marking an annual hike from $28.33 million. Revenues jumped to $92.12 million last year from $80.63 million in 2023, according to the financial results.
