Chelsea still in the race for Premier League proven rising star who would be perfect fit as Nkunku replacement
Chelsea still in the race for Premier League proven rising star who would be perfect fit as Nkunku replacement Jamie Gittens still appears to be Chelsea's biggest target for this summer on the left wing, where they're especially in need of reinforcement now that Mykhailo Mudryk has been charged and Jadon Sancho allowed to leave after his loan. Fabrizio Romano and many others report that the Blues are starting a new series of bids to try and persuade Borussia Dortmund to try and sell. Kieran Gill of the Daily Mail says a £42m offer has been rejected, with the 20 year old interested in a move and a new attempt to sign him coming soon. (Photo by) But Gittens isn't the only attacking player on our radar. Gill also reports that Chelsea 'retain an interest in Morgan Rogers if a transfer from Aston Villa became possible.' Another former Man City academy player, Rogers would have more than a few former teammates and coaches to reunite with were he to move to Chelsea – including his good friend Cole Palmer. That may make him keen to make this move. Where Rogers could fit into Chelsea's formation and Chelsea's squad Rogers could be used on the left wing, although it's not his most natural position, we can see him being used in a very similar way to Sancho was last season. Advertisement If Chelsea are able to flog Christopher Nkunku for a decent price, and Villa show any weakness at all, we can really see us pursuing Rogers pretty hard. He's a rising star and won't come cheap, but would be an awesome upgrade to this team. The fact he's already worked with our coach and a number of our players is an extra bonus.
