MWL Secretary-General Congratulates Saudi Leadership on Successful Hajj
Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL) and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa extended on Sunday his congratulations to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as well as to the Saudi people and the entire Islamic nation, on the success of this year's Hajj. MWL chief meets Syria's Awqaf minister
RIYADH: Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, secretary-general of the Muslim World League and chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, met with the Syrian Arab Republic's Minister of Awqaf Mohammad Abu Al-hair Shukri to discuss 'a variety of topics of common interest,' the MWL wrote in a post on X on Saturday. Meanwhile, Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Dr. Abdullatif Al-Alsheikh recently met with the Malaysian delegation of Islamic leaders participating in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Guests Program for Hajj, Umrah, and Visit, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Saturday.

MWL Condemns Storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque Courtyards by Israeli Officials and Settlers
The Muslim World League (MWL) condemned on Tuesday the storming of the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli officials and settlers under the protection of Israeli forces. In a statement, MWL Secretary-General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa denounced the 'reprehensible act, which violates the sanctity of Islamic holy sites.' He warned of the 'serious consequences of such provocations and the continued violations by Israeli forces, which are a flagrant breach of all international and humanitarian laws and norms, and a deliberate provocation of Muslims around the world.' Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir and hundreds of Israeli nationalists visited the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on Monday where they performed 'provocative' rituals at its courtyards amid heightened security measures. Palestinian traders in Jerusalem's Old City returned to their shops on Tuesday to clean up a day after a march by Israeli nationalists that saw scuffles, insults and acts of vandalism. Some had to use crowbars, hammers and wirecutters to regain access to their own shops after many were vandalized during the 'Jerusalem Day' march the day before.

MWL Condemns Israeli Forces for Shooting at Diplomatic Delegation at Jenin camp
The Muslim World League (MWL) condemned the Israeli forces' targeting of a diplomatic delegation, which included ambassadors and representatives from Arab and foreign countries, during their visit to Jenin camp in the West Bank. In a statement, MWL Secretary-General Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa denounced the Israeli government's ongoing violations of international and humanitarian laws and norms, SPA reported. He stressed the urgent need for the international community to uphold its responsibilities by activating international mechanisms to deter such actions, ensure accountability for those responsible, and compel the Israeli government to fully adhere to international legal and humanitarian standards.

Jeddah governor receives US consul general
Jeddah Gov. Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi received Consul General of the US in Jeddah Rafik Mansour in the coastal city on Sunday. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and other topics of common interest, the Saudi Press Agency reported. Meanwhile, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, secretary-general of the Muslim World League and chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, inaugurated the Museum of the Prophet's Biography in Nouakchott alongside the president of Mauritania, Mohamed Ould Ghazouani, as part of the museum's international expansion plan.
