Kim Turnbull continues her summer of single fun at the French MotoGP - after distancing herself from Beckham family feud in shock statement following split from Romeo
Romeo Beckham's ex Kim Turnbull continued her summer of single fun at the French MotoGP this weekend - after finally setting the record straight amid the Beckham family feud. On Monday The DJ and model, 24, broke her silence on the claims she dated her ex-boyfriend Romeo's brother Brooklyn when they were teenagers. The brunette beauty, who recently split from the former footballer, 22, shot down accusations that she was romantically involved with Brooklyn, 26. Kim has been at the centre of claims she was the reason behind a rift between the two brothers, who are currently embroiled in a wider family feud. But she was shrugging off the recent drama as she enjoyed the weekend and '24 hrs in Le Mans' - posing in a sexy black outfit. Snaps posted to Instagram showed her walking around the paddock and even trying out some of the simulators. It comes after she broke her silence on the Beckham family feud and insisted she has only ever had a friendship with the eldest Beckham son. Sharing a statement on her Instagram page on Monday, she said: 'I've avoided speaking on this topic to prevent adding fuel to the fire, however it's come to a point where I feel the need to address it so I can move on. 'I will not continue to receive harassment or be embarrassed on the basis of lies, to fit a certain narrative. 'I have never been romantically involved in ANY capacity at ANY point with the person in question. 'Nothing between us has occurred further than a school friendship at age 16. I would like to remove myself from the ongoing conversation & set the record straight for the sake of everyone involved.' Soon after Romeo shared a cryptic post about 'spreading unnecessary lies'. Kim had been at the centre of the row after Brooklyn's wife Nicola Peltz, 30, claimed that she felt uncomfortable around her, with sources close to the US heiress saying that Kim had dated Brooklyn when they were teenagers. Which she had now denied. Things came to a head when Brooklyn and Nicola were no shows at any of David's 50th birthday celebrations last month, with The Mail revealing that Kim has been made the 'scapegoat' in the feud. Brooklyn and his wife Nicola failed to attend any of football legend David's five celebrations to mark his milestone birthday, including celebrations in Miami, London, Paris the Cotswolds and a boys fishing trip to Scotland. Among the various conspiracy theories that sprung up to explain Brooklyn and Nicola's repeated no-shows, some centered on Kim. Kim, is the well-heeled granddaughter of renowned post-war sculptor and painter William Turnbull, while her father Alex Turnbull and uncle Johnny were part of the post-punk band 23 Skidoo, formed in 1979. She dated Madonna and Guy Ritchie's son Rocco, and through that connection was part of a tightknit friendship group in 2016 which included Brooklyn. Kim and Brooklyn were undeniably close for a brief period – as photographs of them together at the time show - but suggestions that they were ever an item are wide of the mark. That Kim has now been 'thrown to the wolves' as the reason behind the family row is 'deeply upsetting' to Brooklyn's parents and brothers. US website TMZ wrote at the time: 'Sources say Brooklyn and Nicola were told to show up to the main celebrations or they wouldn't get a chance to see the family... leaving the two saddened because they simply won't be around Brooklyn's brother Romeo and his girlfriend, Kim Turnbull.' 'Sources' also told the news outlet that Nicola can't stand to be in Kim's company. Following their split, friends say that things remain 'amicable' between the Romeo and ex Kim, and that their parting is 'nothing to do' with Kim being blamed by Nicola for being the catalyst for the feud that has ripped the Beckham family apart. One said: 'Romeo and Kim are both young and they had a lovely time together but at that age things don't always last forever and they decided to split up. 'They have been friendly since and have even been at the same venues. It's a huge shame, particularly as David and Victoria really adored her and thought she made Romeo happy but it wasn't to be. 'It happened a couple of weeks ago and relations have remained friendly between them. 'David and Victoria would hate for the view to be that they split because of Nicola and Brooklyn because that simply isn't the case. 'The fact is that Kim has got a really busy career as a DJ and Romeo has a busy work life too, there is lots of travelling for both of them at having a relationship at this time isn't all that conducive to their lives.' Romeo and Kim were spotted at the trendy C restaurant in London's Mayfair last month but they had already split. They both turned up at the venue separately, with their friends, and even left together. Kim attended several of David's birthday celebrations. She was present at the former England captain's party at the end of March at Cipriani restaurant in Miami. She also joined David, Victoria, and Romeo's younger brother Cruz, his girlfriend Jackie Apostel and sister Harper on their trip to France where they visited a vineyard in Bordeaux and a restaurant in Paris. Kim was also at the big dinner at Core restaurant in Notting Hill, West London. But the tensions between Nicola and the Beckham family existed long before Kim and Romeo started dating in November last year. In fact, they stretch back over three years, to Brooklyn and Nicola's lavish £3million wedding, on Palm Beach, Florida, in April 2022. 'Some felt that Nicola was absolutely foul in the run up to the wedding and on the day,' said one source involved in the fall out. 'And now it seems she is trying to suggest it is all Kim's fault. 'She was rude to Victoria, she shunned other members of the Beckham family and now it appears she wants to blame it all on Kim, which is just nasty. It is like they are trying to rewrite history. 'Nicola and her family organised her and Brooklyn's big day and they managed to upset so many people who were there. It was terribly upsetting for David, Victoria and other members of their family. It was difficult at the time but it is devastating now.' The insider claimed Nicola's behaviour at the wedding changed David and Victoria's perception of their new daughter-in-law. 'That was when the Beckhams realised that it was not going to be easy being part of [Nicola's] super-rich family. Some people felt that Nicola was vile. The Beckham gang just adore Brooklyn and wanted to be part of it all. 'Now Nicola is singling Kim out and seems to be making it her fault but she only started dating Romeo last November. Relations have been strained since the wedding and there has been much concern for Brooklyn ever since.'

A Fifth Force of Nature May Have Been Discovered Inside Atoms
Every action in physics is governed by some kind of push or pull. As far as we know, these all fall into one of just four categories; electromagnetism, gravity, and two kinds of nuclear force. Yet there could well be forces hidden deep within the tiny storms of particle dynamics that have been simply too subtle to easily detect. Physicists from Germany, Switzerland, and Australia have now placed new restrictions on where one example of a 'fifth' force may be hiding in the hearts of atoms, exchanging whispers between electrons and neutrons. As handy as our Standard Model of physics is at explaining cosmic and quantum phenomena, there are glaring gaps that leave physicists scratching their heads. Dark matter remains elusive, for example. Nobody knows why one kind of matter came to dominate after the Big Bang. And gravity is the most questionable member of the force family, lacking a quantum theory to explain its behavior. Introducing new fields and particles could go a long way to extending the model, and just maybe help explain these mysterious phenomena. A Yukawa particle is the hypothesized mediator of a possible force within the cores of atoms. If it exists, it would have a subtle influence on how particles making up an atom's nucleus interact with each other, and possibly how they interact with electrons. Unlike recent attempts to tease out the force's predicted effects on a cosmic scale, physicists behind this latest investigation turned their focus to a far smaller space in the orbitals around the nuclei of four different kinds of calcium. Electrons are typically confined to their neighborhoods by their attraction to the positively charged particles in the center. Give them a kick, however, and they'll briefly visit a higher orbit in what's known as an atomic transition. The precise timing of this jump depends largely on the way the nucleus is constructed, meaning an element can have different atomic transitions, each depending on the number of neutrons it has. Mapping these variations results in something called a King plot, which ought to be predicted in a relatively straight-forward manner by the Standard Model. Finding examples where the plot doesn't match the model could – in theory – indicate a weak additional force operating between neutrons and electrons. Using five isotopes of calcium in two different states of charge, the researchers measured atomic transitions to a degree that left some wiggle room for a small undescribed force governed by a mediator particle with a mass somewhere between 10 and 10 million electronvolts. Whatever that ambiguity may be in their calculations, the researchers demonstrated it was largely down to a single factor – which could be a clue towards the existence of a fifth force. It would take further experimentation and improved calculations to confirm whether any dynamics within their resulting deviations was the result of known physics or the hypothesized Yukawa interaction, but researchers now have a better idea of what to look for at least. This research was published in Physical Review Letters. Plea to MOE: Student effort deserves recognition
COMMENT | Last week, a Malaysian student from SMK Convent Kajang bravely questioned why her achievement at an international event was not recognised by the government. She asked why, after emerging as best delegate at a Model United Nations conference, she was not recognised under the Education Ministry's Psychometric Assessment and Assessment of Physical Activity Co-curriculum (PAJSK) co-curricular system. Her voice sparked a national conversation. And as someone who has spent years organising youth development programmes across the country, I feel compelled to echo her concern...

Elion Launches Integration of Coalition for Health AI ‘Nutrition Label' Within Vendor Marketplace
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Elion, the healthcare technology research and intelligence platform for the AI era, announced today a new partnership with the Coalition for Health AI (CHAI), an industry-led coalition committed to developing industry best practices and frameworks to further innovation, safety and security for health AI. As part of this partnership, Elion is beta-launching a new feature: Abridged CHAI model cards now appear on select vendor profiles across its platform. 'As demand for AI adoption accelerates, healthcare leaders need a shared language and set of standards to evaluate solutions responsibly." To facilitate robust evaluation and accelerate adoption of successful AI solutions, CHAI developed an Applied Model Card framework, and recently established its first Model Card registry to support the rapid growth of model cards, or 'nutrition labels' for health AI, used to simplify procurement among health systems and solution providers. CHAI's model cards have created a more standard way to present foundational information about AI solutions, moving from powerpoint presentations to evidence and value-based procurement. Elion cofounder and CEO, Bobby Guelich, announced this new functionality at the CHAI Innovation Summit this week. Providing availability of CHAI's Model Cards through the Elion platform helps provider organizations quickly assess an AI model's intended use, oversight processes, and key performance considerations—all in the context of Elion's broader research and marketplace infrastructure. 'As demand for AI adoption accelerates, healthcare leaders need a shared language and set of standards to evaluate solutions responsibly,' said Guelich. 'CHAI's work in this area is foundational, and we're excited to bring their model cards into the day-to-day workflows of technology decision-makers through Elion's marketplace.' This integration represents the latest step in Elion's mission to equip health systems with the data, tools, and guidance needed to evaluate and implement emerging technologies. The current version includes model cards for a limited set of vendor solutions, with broader availability planned later this year. 'I am thrilled to see our health AI nutrition label advancing effective and responsible health AI,' said Brian Anderson, CHAI's CEO. 'By integrating this with Elion, we are enabling health system AI solution evaluation and allowing decision-makers to easily access Model Cards. CHAI is driven by the expertise of our members and the feedback of our broader health ecosystem and the public. We look forward to working together to unlock the potential benefits of AI, on a foundation of trust, safety, and security." Tesla execs question Elon Musk over controversial X post
Tesla CEO Elon Musk loved Twitter long before he purchased it. Musk has been a frequent poster on the social media network for years, often sharing his thoughts on everything from the mundane to the profane. He's also gotten himself and Tesla into trouble on the social media platform in the past. Related: Elon Musk fulfills a promise he recently made to Tesla investors Back on August 7, 2018, Musk tweeted, "Am considering taking Tesla private at $420. Funding secured." This tweet led to a class action lawsuit filed by Tesla shareholders, who claimed it was misleading. They claimed it caused them to lose money after stock prices rose nearly 23% in the subsequent days to meet the $420 level, only to decline again once it became clear Musk was not serious about taking the company private. The plaintiffs argued that no one, not even one of the world's wealthiest people, should be above the law, and knowingly misleading shareholders to believe you are taking a company private when you are not is illegal. Musk's defense, meanwhile, argued that while the "funding secured" tweet was only "technically inaccurate" and that "the whole case is built on bad word choice. Who cares about bad word choice?" A San Francisco jury eventually ruled that Musk and Tesla were not liable for misleading investors, letting Musk off the hook after just two hours of deliberation. Six years later, Musk once again found himself in hot water over a tweet, but this time the pressure was coming from inside his company. Image source: NurPhoto/Getty Images Last year, Reuters began reporting on Tesla's plan to discontinue plans for a $25,000 EV that would be the most affordable the company has ever built. When it was first announced, analysts and investors expected the vehicle to be a smashing success like the Model 3, Tesla's current budget option. But, according to three sources who talked to Reuters, Tesla held a meeting attended by scores of employees and told them of the decision not to pursue the model. Elon Musk's reaction to the piece was immediate. "Reuters is lying," Musk said on X after the story was published on April 5. Musk's tweet stopped a 6% slide that day, as the budget model, known as Model 2, had been the linchpin of the company's growth plans. Related: Elon Musk explains DOGE mission, takes shot at government But according to new Reuters reporting, Tesla executives were confused and alarmed by the tweet because the company had, in fact, decided to abandon the Model 2. They felt Musk's tweet could potentially make them financially liable, like his tweet in 2018 almost did. Some senior managers were so confused by the tweet that they asked Musk whether he had changed his mind about the car. Musk assured them that the project was still off. The company had previously said that the Model 2 would be an all-new model, built and designed from scratch, that would revamp Tesla's entire image. Instead, the company plans to offer slimmed-down versions of its popular Model 3 sedan and Model Y SUV. No prices have been set for those models, and their expected rollout in the first half of 2025 has been delayed. One Tesla executive said that some other Tesla execs weren't as concerned about the tweet because the company's product plans remain flexible. However, one of the biggest concerns some execs had was about the Securities and Exchange Commission. While Musk was able to win the jury trial back in 2018, he could not escape the SEC. Musk settled claims over the funding secured tweet, with the agency alleging that Musk misled investors by saying he was planning to take Tesla private. As part of the settlement, Musk agreed to step down as chairman of Tesla, pay a $20 million fine (with Tesla also paying another $20 million), and add two new independent directors to his board. Musk also agreed to have his social media posts about Tesla be vetted by a lawyer. Reuters reported that some of the executives questioning Musk told associates that they feared Musk's tweet could have violated his settlement with the SEC because he was misleading investors about a future product they had already agreed to scrap. The SEC did not immediately return a request for comment.
