Following Rachel Gupta's MGI resignation, Michelle Dee says of CJ Opiaza: 'It's her time!'
Michelle Dee took to social media to air her support for CJ Opiaza, who is set to take over the Miss Grand International 2024 title. In an Instagram Stories post, the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 shared a teaser reel of CJ posted by Miss Grand Philippines. "It's her time! The queen that you are!" Michelle said in the caption, tagging the soon-to-be Miss Grand International 2024. CJ's fellow Filipina beauty queens also aired their support by commenting on the reel. "Finally! You did it [CJ]. On Wednesday, Rachel Gupta announced she is resigning from her title. Shortly after, the Miss Grand International organization released an official statement, terminating the beauty queen's title. MGI founder Nawat Itsaragrisil also spotlighted CJ, saying "Real queen coming soon." Following her announcement, the Indian beauty queen shared a 56-minute tell-all video on Thursday morning detailing the reasons for her resignation. Rachel said she has put so much effort and hard work into her dream of winning the Miss Grand International crown.
