Sheetal Kale, best known for her impactful portrayal of Nargis in Sushmita Sen 's Taali, has opened up about narrowly escaping the recent Kedarnath helicopter crash. The actress recently took to social media to share a chilling revelation — she and her family were supposed to be on the same helicopter that tragically crashed in Kedarnath on June 15, claiming the lives of seven people, including a child and the pilot. In an emotional Instagram story, Sheetal reflected on the incident and the twist of fate that saved her life. 'My heart goes out to all the families who lost their loved ones," she wrote. 'What's even more shocking is that me and my family were supposed to be on that same helicopter, on the same day.' The actress went on to explain how everything had been planned for the spiritual trip, but her mother's sudden illness forced them to cancel. 'At the time, I was disappointed… now, I believe it was nothing short of divine intervention. That twist of fate saved our lives," she said, adding, 'Being alive is the biggest blessing.' The ill-fated chopper reportedly crashed in the forests of Gauri Mai Khark between Gaurikund and Triyuginarayan due to poor weather conditions. The tragic accident, which occurred around 5:30 am, has left devotees and citizens across the country in shock. Sheetal Kale rose to fame with Taali, a series based on the life of transgender activist Shreegauri Sawant. She has also appeared in popular shows like Jai Chhathi Maa and Mirzapur.

Shriya Pilgaonkar says Mirzapur, not Shah Rukh Khan's Fan, was her turning point: 'I'm known as Sweety Gupta to a lot of people'

Shriya Pilgaonkar , daughter of veteran actors Sachin and Supriya Pilgaonkar, was last seen playing a poised officer in Chhal Kapat: The Deception. In a recent interview with NDTV, the actress, who played the role of Sweety Gupta in Mirzapur, said that even though she made her debut alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Fan, her real breakthrough came through Mirzapur. "Although I made my Hindi film debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Fan, I think it was Mirzapur that really changed the momentum of my career in terms of the show's success. It was like doing a big commercial film, right? It's still extremely popular. I'm known as Sweety Gupta to a lot of people,' she added. Reflecting on other key moments that shaped her journey as an actor, she shared, "And after that, I think if I were to speak in terms of the scope that a part gave me, Guilty Minds—I mean, my character of the lawyer Kashaf Kazi in Guilty Minds—gave me a lot of love from critics, and I think it just gave me the scope to show what I'm capable of. Every actor really wants that, you know, when you have that much meat and that much scope to really play around, explore yourself, unravel those layers. But I've been very, very fortunate because all the parts I've played have had a certain graph and have been memorable in their own way." The actress added, "And people know me as those characters, and I think there is no bigger compliment than people calling you by the names of the characters—whether it is Sweety from Mirzapur or Madhu from Taaza Khabar—when people call me that, it makes me feel very good." by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Blood cancer is taking our curious baby away from us! And I feel like I'm more ambitious than I've ever been," Shriya concluded. For the unversed, in Chhal Kapat: The Deception, Shriya plays a fierce cop. As part of her preparation for the role, she interacted with several real-life police officers in Uttar Pradesh, including ADG Padmaja Chauhan.
