Mbule could be good for Chiefs, but must change his ways: ‘Disco' Makua
Would it be worthwhile for Kaizer Chiefs to sign Sipho Mbule despite his well-known off-field troubles? After his agent Mike Makaab publicly declared he had offered the troublesome playmaker to Chiefs, Amakhosi midfield legend Frank 'Disco' Makua endorsed the possible recruitment, but warned the wayward star will have to change his behaviour. Mbule's off-field misdemeanours have been well-documented since he emerged at SuperSport United, with Sekhukhune United the latest club to reject him after Mamelodi Sundowns dispatched him there on loan. The 27-year-old midfielder is without a club after Downs opted not to renew his contract, prompting Makaab, in a bizarre social media post, to declare the talented but sometimes wayward midfielder had been 'offered to Chiefs'.

This is so classy from the agent of former Mamelodi Sundowns star Rivaldo Coetzee. Find out how Mike Makaab feels about his client's recent exit from the Betway Premiership champions. Coetzee, 27, who holds a staggering seven Premier Soccer League titles with Sundowns, has not had his contract renewed. According to his agent, Makaab, there are no hard feelings as Sundowns treated his client with a high level of professionalism, especially when he was signed from Ajax Cape Town injured and reeling from the failed medical test before joining Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers. 'I think he'll have options; there's no doubt in my mind. He was back in full training (before the end of the season). He has fully recovered from his injury. And by the way, the injury was tackle inflicted. Agent defends former Sundowns star Mbule 'It wasn't a recurrence of an old injury. It was unfortunate for him, just when he was starting to play good football at Sundowns again. As we speak, we are talking among our team for the opportunities we can create for him. 'He's had a wonderful time with them, and he's won a lot of silverware with them, and now it's time for a new chapter in his life,' Makaab concluded. Where could the former Orlando Pirates striker Gabadinho Mhango be moving to next? According to Mike Makaab, the former Orlando Pirates player's agent, the 32-year-old Malawian is saying goodbye to Marumo Gallants. 'I can tell you that Gabadinho Mhango will leave Marumo Gallants at the end of the season and join a new club,' Makaab told FARPost without revealing the next destination. 'When you look at Mhango and how he has performed at his club, he has given it his all, but he will definitely leave at the end of the season.' Top football agent hits out at controversial X user
Mike Makaab is the CEO of Prosport International, and one of the most well-known local football agents who has a major influence on the careers of hundreds of players. Makaab is an active social media user, and so it was no surprise that he responded firmly to a shocking post made by controversial X user Rushsportson, which is known for making a host of dubious claims while hiding behind an anonymous handle. On Wednesday, the X user made a host of racially-fuelled accusations largely aimed at Makaab, first alleging: 'Pro-Sport Football agency CEO Mike Makaab fired head scout Xolani Nhleko because he is black & replaced him with a white Man United Fan, Alban Newman. Nhleko scouted & recruited 99% of players to the agency in more than 25 years & the company made billions.' 'Nhleko started with the company and was used to win black players over and it worked,' the X user Rushsport continued. 'He was also used to scout for talent at the location tournaments, including in Umlazi and Soweto.' In response to the first tweet, Makaab said a 'line had been crossed'. 'So let's get this straight @Rushsportson2. Xolani is like a son to me and you now make a false statement like this,' Makaab tweeted. 'He was with me for 20 years. He resigned to pursue a different career path. I have left you alone and not bothered with your continuous nonsense, as you are well known for attempting to clickbait serious people to increase your following without concern about being derogative towards certain people and attempting to damage their reputations and businesses. 'Continue and I give you my word I will finally expose you. You hide behind your X handle as a coward would do. If you were confident of your reporting, you would engage people and disclose who you are.' In another bizarre post from the controversial X user, a picture was posted with the following caption: 'Here is Xolani Nhleko's replaced Alban Newman with former Kaizer Chiefs player Parker, wearing his Manchester United jersey. Newman likes to take pictures with football players.'
