English seaside cocktail bar that ‘feels like being in Miami' is right by the beach

South Beach Restaurant and Bar at The NICI Hotel in Bournemouth is an all-day drinking and dining venue. Located in The NICI hotel on Bournemouth's West Cliff, the resort has a luxury spa, 30 metre outdoor pool and cabana area, fire pits and more. At the bar and restaurant, individuals can enjoy "Champagne afternoon teas and classics with a Miami twist", according to The NICI's website. The bar's Afternoon Tea is served daily between 3pm and 5pm for £29 per person. However you can upgrade the Afternoon Tea to include prosecco for £35 per person or to include Moet and Chandon for £40 per person. In addition, the venue serves up creative desserts including a strawberry cake with candy floss, tropical Eton Mess and peanut butter and rum bananas. Sunday lunch costs £27 for two courses or £35 for three courses. One recent visitor said: "We loved the excellent attention to detail with the Miami theme running throughout. "Dinner and breakfast at the South Beach Restaurant didn't disappoint. "Seated by the window so we could enjoy the view - such a perfect spot. Trendy English seaside town has rooftop bar that 'feels like the Med' Another added: "The NICI has been a wonderful experience. "Beautiful setting and very cool decor. Feels like Miami!" Whilst guests heading to the restaurant and bar can't use the pool, the pool water and vibrant sunbeds nearby transport you to a Miami-like destination with great views. Take-Two earnings boost delayed along with 'GTA VI'
Take-Two shares slipped nearly 3 percent in after-market trades that followed a quarterly earnings release that included a forecast that sales for 2026 would be much less than the market hoped. Early this month, the GTA VI launch by Take-Two subsidiary Rockstar Games was postponed to May 2026, and with it the rev of Take-Two earnings from sales of the blockbuster title. GTA VI was originally due to be released later this year, with trailers showing that it would be set in Miami-like Vice City and would feature a playable female protagonist for the first time. "I believe affording Rockstar additional time for such a groundbreaking project is a worthy investment," Take-Two chief executive Strauss Zelnick said in an earnings release. "The ambition and complexity of Grand Theft Auto VI is greater than any previous Rockstar title." Rockstar began work in earnest on the game in 2020 and it has become the most anticipated "entertainment property" of all time, according to Zelnick. The first trailer for GTA VI appeared in December 2023 and has been seen some 259 million times on Rockstar's YouTube channel. A recently-released second GTA VI trailer logged more than 109 million views in nine days after being posted on YouTube by Rockstar. The games predecessor, GTA V, was released in 2013 and sold more than 200 million copies. Beyond just Rockstar Games, the whole industry is laser focused on the GTA launch at a time when the sector has been experiencing stalled growth after riding high during Covid-19 related confinements to break sales records. © 2025 AFP

‘GTA 6' Trailer: Bank Robberies, Gun-Toting Strippers, Bayou Chases and More Mayhem in Vice City and Beyond
Gamers will have to wait a bit longer before they can get their hands on 'Grand Theft Auto VI,' but Rockstar Games has just released a new trailer that reveals what's in store for them. The new trailer for the highly anticipated video game teases more of the story and mayhem that awaits players in 'GTA 6,' which was recently delayed to May 26, 2026. It shows the dual protagonists, Jason and Lucia, and all the trouble they can cause in Leonida, the Florida-inspired state for the new game. There's also a glimpse of Vice City, the Miami-like hotspot that was previously the setting for 2002's 'Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.' More from Variety ADVERTISEMENT 'Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive,' reads an official logline for the trailer. It starts with a shirtless Jason working on a leaky beach house and picking up Lucia from prison — but not before robbing a store, picking up a six-pack of beer and getting a quick workout in on the beach. The two lovers are reunited and get down to business quickly. They cheers to 'new beginnings,' move into a new house and start committing a litany of crimes. They rob businesses, shoot at police, steal bank vaults, ride jetskis and, of course, hit the Vice City night clubs. 'GTA 6' was originally slated to release this fall, but Rockstar Games announced last week it was getting delayed to next May. 'With every game we have released, the goal has always been to try and exceed your expectations, and 'Grand Theft Auto VI' is no exception,' the company said.
