Bus fire causes significant delays on I-95 in Woodbridge

WOODBRIDGE, Va. () — A bus caught fire along I-95 in Prince William County on Tuesday afternoon, causing delays over a mile long and growing. The Metropolitan Area Transportation Operations Coordination (MATOC) said in a on social media at 4:20 p.m. that the fire was just before Dale Boulevard (Exit 156) in the northbound lanes of I-95. Road closures to take effect in DC for Women's History Month 5K race Footage from the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) showed a billowing fire coming from the back of a blue bus that was on the right shoulder. WASHINGTON () — The United States Park Police and D.C. police are on the scene of an investigation at the Kennedy Center Thursday morning. The Kennedy Center said the building was evacuated 'due to a bomb threat targeting Shen Yun performances.' Details are limited; however, the Metropolitan Area Transportation Operations Coordination said Rock Creek and Potomac Parkway between Virginia Avenue and Parkway Drive is shut down in both directions due to police activity. The Metropolitan Police Department said the call came in just before 10:45 a.m. Trump says federal government should 'take over' DC, backing congressional GOP push The United States Capitol Police said its officers are also investigating a suspicious package at the U.S. Supreme Court. However, police confirmed that 'nothing hazardous' was found and the scene was cleared. Currently, it is unknown if these investigations are connected.
