It is interesting to note that about three months ago, Zerodha co-founders Nikhil Kamath and Nithin Kamath gifted a Mercedes GLS to their mother. According to media reports, that car costs over Rs 1.5 crore. 'My sons today gifted me a new car today and here also I received car keys this way and one more Peta and shalu," she wrote on Facebook in March. In the picture, she was seen receiving the gift dressed in a peta (turban) and shalu (shawl). As per her website, Revathi Kamath's work spans social welfare, healthcare, education, and environmental conservation. Her organisation, Calyx Landscaping & Organic Farming, has contributed to rejuvenating lakes and promoting organic farming. Creating new classrooms, building labs for science and computer education and contributing to libraries are some of the areas she has worked on, according to her website. 'Through collaborative efforts, she has mobilised resources and support from various sectors, amplifying the reach and effectiveness of her programs," as per her website.
