Online applications for the posts were invited from April 20 to May 15. The recruitment process includes Computer-Based Tests (CBTs) scheduled between June 6 and July 6. Of the total vacancies, 14,088 are at the district level, while 2,259 are for state or zonal level positions. The Mega DSC recruitment and the implementation of an annual job calendar were among the promises made in the run-up to the 2024 elections by the newly formed government. According to media reports, the DSC exam for the School Assistant post in Social Studies, held on Monday, recorded a high attendance rate of 95.11% statewide. Out of 38,243 registered candidates, 36,372 appeared for the exam, which was conducted across 227 centres in Andhra Pradesh. Anantapur district registered the highest attendance in the morning session at 97.84%, while Chittoor district saw 97.98% attendance in the afternoon session.

VISAKHAPATNAM: Chief Minister and TDP supremo Nara Chandrababu Naidu urged party workers to actively communicate the achievements of the coalition government during the past year, stating that the development and welfare programmes undertaken must reach every household. Addressing a review meeting with party workers from the erstwhile Visakhapatnam district on Monday, Naidu stressed the importance of grassroots mobilisation and participation in governance. He acknowledged past shortcomings in party communication and engagement, noting, 'There were times when party workers felt neglected. We will ensure that such a disconnect doesn't happen again.' Naidu noted that the government had launched 750 welfare and development programmes in the first year and emphasised the role of workers in taking these efforts to the public. 'No other State has implemented welfare on this scale,' he said. On employment and welfare, he said recruitment for over 16,000 teaching posts under Mega DSC was underway, and that three LPG cylinders a year were being provided under Deepam-2. 'The Annadata Sukhibhava scheme, offering financial support to farmers, would begin from June 20. Additionally, from August 15, women would be allowed free travel in RTC buses,' he announced.

Vijayawada: As part of the Mega DSC process, 38,243 candidates had applied for the School Assistant (Non-Language) Social Studies examination conducted on Monday across the state. Of them, 36,372 candidates appeared, marking an attendance rate of 95.11 per cent, according to a statement by Mega DSC–2025 Convener M V Krishna Reddy. The exam was conducted in 227 centres. Among them, Anantapur district recorded the highest attendance in the morning session with 97.84 per cent, while Chittoor district saw the highest attendance in the afternoon session with 97.98 per cent. The preliminary key for School Assistant (Languages) exams in minor media languages, Kannada, Odiya, Tamil, and Urdu, will be available from Tuesday on the website under the candidates' login, along with the response sheets. Candidates are advised to raise any objections to the preliminary key with valid supporting documents only through the website by June 23, said Krishna Reddy.
