Ferragamo Resort 2026 Collection
Maximilian Davis is busy chasing his muse—the elusive blend of sprezzatura and sartorial sleight of hand known as Italian elegance. It's the art of looking effortlessly put-together, even when every fold, cuff, and color combination has been meticulously perfected in front of the mirror for hours. In essence, it's a kind of deceptive nonchalance, an attitude perhaps best embodied by a stylish Florentine flair, of which the Ferragamo archives offer abundant examples. For resort, Davis time-traveled from the roaring '20s to the bold '80s, riffing on the idea of garments passed down through generations. The Ferragamos are more dynasty than family, so it's no surprise that he's drawn to the mythos of heirlooms, classic pieces he reworked through his signature sleek, minimalist lens. Slightly eclectic while keeping its polish, the collection set out to explore 'what defines a person's character,' as Davis put it. To that end, he looked to photographer Karen Knorr, whose portraits of women in private interiors—spaces layered with discordant styles—say as much about identity as they do about taste. A zebra-print throw glimpsed in one of Knorr's photos sparked the collection's animalier thread—an unexpected jolt of wildness against the muted palette of waxed canvas, sun-faded linen, and rich, buttery-soft leather, crafted into lean city coats and relaxed, androgynous tailoring. A standout was a cocoa-and-black zebra-print dress with a pleated bodice and flounced skirt, worn with a shearling shrug that dialed up the '80s attitude. The animalier motif continued in a flowy caftan printed with what could be described as the 'faded memory' of crocodile skin. Another highlight was a series of slinky crepe de chine dresses in barely-there nude tones, each threaded with delicate lace inserts that nodded to the 1920s. Think lingerie reimagined as minimalist eveningwear, sensual but sharp, with fluid but intentional silhouettes. Menswear took a quietly expressive turn, trading overt statements for nuance and precision. Black was swapped out for a deep, inky blue—Davis's nod to the understated sophistication of the Italian way of dressing. 'Navy is such a classic color I've discovered in Italy,' he noted; here, it grounded a soft jersey three-piece suit with a slouchy, relaxed feel, that blurred the line between tailoring and loungewear. The vibe was pajama dressing with purpose: unfussy and stripped of rigidity.

Ferragamo's Soft-Bag is a spring/summer 2025 archival star Vogue Singapore
There's something particularly memorable when it comes to a beautifully reimagined archival accessory. The luxury fashion circuit has made an unprecedented return to looking through a brand's archive, and a glance at the spring/summer 2025 runways only drives this point further home. A host of emblematic bags from decades past have made their way back to the drawing board, ranging from kittenish mini top handles to delightfully lived-in soft bowling bags. Watching a fashion show today can feel like an exciting and novel uncovering of a treasure trove as glimpses of the building blocks that have shaped a brand's design language are playfully revealed. Available in black, grey, pink, mustard, and a vibrant rust, the Soft-Bag comes in three sizes—small, medium, and large. Courtesy of Ferragamo Nostalgia, it's clear, is far from losing its appeal. Italian brand Ferragamo is one of many that are bringing both heavy hitters and forgotten favourites back to the spotlight. Since Maximilian Davis was appointed as creative director in March 2022, his signature style—defined by a certain thoughtful subtlety and softness—has come alive in all the minute details of the Ferragamo world, from the carefully curated front row of his Milan shows (think Solange Knowles and Marina Abramović) to the designs themselves. It's only fitting, then, that for spring/summer 2025, Davis turned to a lesser-known archival piece: the Soft-Bag, inspired by a style from the brand's past. The collection, which looks to the elegant classicism essential to Ferragamo's one-of-a-kind story and heritage, was brought to life through a campaign lensed by Juergen Teller. Here, he highlighted the anchors of the past in a playful, and as Davis describes it, slightly perverse manner. Faces like Liu Wen and Naoki Sumiya brought the brand's exploration of the world of ballet to life (a key tenet of its spring/summer 2025 offering)—polished, stoic, but ultimately poetic. A luxurious expansion of balletcore, featuring ballet pumps with bows and powdery pink asymmetric dresses, such as the one worn by Alex Consani on the runway, felt right at home within the narrative. Roomy, supple and a statement-maker, Ferragamo's Soft-Bag channels the season's love for vintage-inspired silhouettes. Courtesy of Ferragamo Complementing this vision was the fitting debut of the Soft-Bag. Made from luxurious, buttery-soft Nappa leather, the covetable carryall is decorated with both a shoulder strap and double handles, allowing it to transform into a roomy pouch. The Soft-Bag is epitomised by the brand's iconic Gancio pin, which sits on either side of its folds, adding a sense of volume and softness, while subtly contorting shadows and reflections. Its round silhouette makes a case for its ease-of-wear, making it a sophisticated yet unfussy option for everyday use. And while a glossy leather variation makes for a statement addition, suede is making the rounds this season too. Available in black, grey, pink, mustard and a vibrant rust, choose from an assortment of three sizes, from small to large. If you're in the market for a statement bag with a heaping of history, we'd say this is an option to consider. Vogue Singapore's May 'Sonder' issue is out on newsstands and available to order online.

Kylie Jenner screams in pain as her feet get stuck in stilettos at Met Gala
Kylie Jenner will do whatever it takes to make it across the Met steps. On Monday, the reality star hit the Met Gala 2025 red carpet wearing a Ferragamo outfit that showed off her curves and midriff, it was her heels that were more than she bargained for. While walking in stilettos is never an easy feat, Jenner had an even harder time taking the shoes off. The Kylie Cosmetics founder, 27, shared a video to her Instagram Story late after the ball, sitting on the ground while a team of people tried to remove her black pointed-toe pumps. 'Max told me to tape my feet into the shoe,' Jenner said, referring to the creative director of Ferragamo, Maximilian Davis. 'And now my feet are stuck in the shoes!' Her glam squad used spray bottles filled with a clear liquid to try to loosen up the grip of the tape without hurting Jenner's feet, but it still seemed quite painful. 'Ow!' Jenner yelled from behind the camera. A few minutes later, she updated her fans with a celebratory photo of her bare feet. 'They're okay!!!!' Jenner wrote over the image. On the upper half of her body, Jenner strutted down the carpet in a Ferragamo dress featuring wool herringbone cups and a matching long skirt with a high slit, broken up by a sheer corset bodice. The Khy founder styled the piece with Lorraine Schwartz earrings and co-ordinating long see-through gloves, while rocking a bombshell makeup look and a slicked-back bun. She also added a shiny black sash with a diamond-adorned flower brooch, with the fabric stretching feet behind her. We're just wondering which brand of fashion tape Jenner used, so we can try some for ourselves.

Kylie Jenner screams in pain as she get stuck in her £700 designer shoes after suffering major wardrobe mishap at the Met Gala
Kylie Jenner was left screaming in pain after she got stuck in her shoes after wowing on the carpet at the Met Gala on Monday. The reality star, 27, wowed at the fashion event as she wore a Ferragamo corset with a grey bralette and low-slung skirt which featured a high leg slit. Putting on a busty display she completed the look with matching sheer opera gloves and strappy black heels, also from Ferragamo. However the well-known phrase 'beauty is pain' later rang true for Kylie after she found herself stuck in the £700 designer shoes. After her designer Maximilian Davis advised her to tape her feet into the heels, the mother-of-two was left exclaiming in pain as her team tried to free her feet. Sharing a hilarious video to her Instagram Story Kylie's team desperately sprayed her feet with water in an attempt to loosen the tape. Kylie explained: 'Max told me to tape my feet into the shoes and now my feet are stuck in the shoes,' she added: 'Owww' as she screamed in pain. Yet their efforts were luckily successful as the star later shared a snap of her bare manicured feet as she revealed: 'They're okay!!!!' While Kylie wowed on the carpet, her boyfriend Timothée Chalamet distanced himself from the glitz and glamour of the 2025 Met Gala. The A Complete Unknown actor, 29, overshadowed his girlfriend as he shared an Instagram snap from his boys night at the same time the mother-of-two was putting on a busty display in a custom Ferragamo gown. Chalamet's night was spent watching the NBA playoffs, specifically 'French NBA analysis,' according to his Instagram Stories. He also appeared in a selfie with three friends, wearing a black hat and a gray hoodie over his head. Another picture showed his feet kicked up while he watched the Celtics play via a small tablet. The Wonka actor wrote in one impassioned post that he was 'sh***ing myself' because 'this game is insane.' The reality star wowed at the fashion event as she wore a Ferragamo corset with a grey bralette and low-slung skirt which featured a high leg slit On Monday morning the billionaire mogul took to Instagram Stories to share a snapshot featuring her makeup products spread out on a windowsill. Her finished look included a palette of mocha-colored eyeshadow, dramatic lashes, and a generous dusting of a rosy blush. Insiders recently revealed that Timothée and Kylie have agreed to a set of stipulations regarding their romance. While the twosome have been seen attending public events together on various occasions, they do not post each other online. And the Call Me By Your Name star will not appear on Jenner's family television series The Kardashians. Last week the couple attended the Los Angeles Lakers vs the Minnesota Timberwolves at arena (formerly The Staples Center). The famous couple were spotted sitting courtside and couldn't keep their hands off of one another. Kylie kept a tight grip on her boyfriend's left hand and arm as they watched the rival basketball teams play.
