Max Verstappen theory sees Nico Rosberg and Toto Wolff in disagreement

Red Bull lodged two protests against George Russell following his win at the Canadian Grand Prix, with Nico Rosberg and Toto Wolff in disagreement over who was behind it Nico Rosberg has suggested that Max Verstappen could have been behind Red Bull's protest against George Russell after the Brit's Canadian Grand Prix victory. The former Mercedes star and 2016 world champion's thoughts are not in line with his former boss, Toto Wolff, however. Christian Horner's appeal resulted from Russell dropping back behind the Safety Car, with Red Bull accusing him of unsportsmanlike behaviour in trying to catch Verstappen out for overtaking. However, their protests were ultimately rejected. ‌ While Wolff, 53, believes the origins of the protest didn't stem from the Red Bull star, Rosberg isn't convinced. Rosberg mused that Verstappen, who is teetering on the brink of a race ban with 11 penalty points to his name, may have seen Russell's manoeuvre as a deliberate ploy to bag him a one-race suspension. ‌ He suggested that an irked Verstappen could have then urged his team to lodge the protest in retaliation. "The fact that Red Bull appealed, it wouldn't surprise me if that was pushed by Max," Rosberg said on the Sky Sports F1 Podcast. "Because Max got angry that George hit the brakes and tried to get him into a penalty situation. So Max was like, 'I'm not having that,' and asked his team to appeal to try and get George into trouble. It wouldn't surprise me, so we're seeing the cat and mouse games continue, which is great." Wolff has a different take. "What is it all about? Who decides it? Because I'm 100 per cent sure it's not Max, he's a racer. He would never go for a protest on such a trivial thing," Wolff said at the premiere of the new F1 movie this week. The Mercedes boss also expressed frustration with the FIA and urged them to review their procedures. "First of all, it took team Red Bull Racing two hours before they launched the protest, so that was their doing. Honestly, it's so petty and so small. "They've done it in Miami. Now they lodged two protests. They took one back because it was ridiculous. They come up with some weird ISC clauses - sporting code clauses. ‌ "I guess the FIA needs to look at that, because it's so far-fetched it was rejected. You race, you win and you lose on track. That was a fair victory for us, like so many they had in the past. And it's just embarrassing." Wolff was particularly annoyed by the time taken to dismiss the second protest, which came five and a half hours after the race ended. "One of them they actually pulled as a protest, they didn't even follow it through because it was nonsense," he added. "The second one took us five hours because I don't even know what you refer to as 'unsportsmanlike behaviour' or something." ‌ Meanwhile, Red Bull team principal Horner defended his decision to approach the stewards. "No, absolutely not [got any regrets]," Horner said to Sky Sports. "I mean, it's a team's right to do so. You know, we saw something we didn't think was quite right. You have the ability to put it in front of the stewards, and so that's what we chose to do. Absolutely no regrets in that." Tensions between Red Bull and Mercedes had already been building this season. At the Spanish Grand Prix, Verstappen collided with Russell, earning him three penalty points that have him on the cusp of a ban. For next week's Austrian Grand Prix, the four-time world champion will need to tread carefully, as two of his 11 penalty points are set to expire by the end of the month, just before the British GP.

Meet Your New Ron, Harry And Hermione: Warner Bros. Latest Harry Potter Casting Announcement Comes With A First Look Pic

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. There are popular franchises, and then there's Harry Potter. The Wizarding World is a sensation that has spanned books, video games, stage plays, theme parks, and (of course) the Harry Potter movies. Those titles are some of the best book to screen adaptations ever, but hardcore fans are eager to see the novels become extra fleshed out in the developing live-action TV series. The cast has slowly been coming together, and now we've gotten a photo of the new Ron, Harry, and Hermione together. What we know about the Harry Potter TV show has been limited, but a number of casting announcement have come over the last few months. While it was exciting to learn Lohn Lithgow will play Dumbledore, fans have been wondering about our three heroes. Now we know Dominic McLaughlin will play Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton will play Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout will play Ron Weasley. Check out the trio together below: The Wizarding World's three primary heroes are officially cast, and they look pretty perfect for their roles. The Harry Potter movie cast grew up before our eyes, and we'll get the same privilege with this trio of young actors. Author J.K. Rowling writes about these characters' hair at great length, and they all certainly look accurate to the books. Max: Plans start from $9.99 a monthThe Harry Potter franchise is streaming on Max, which will be the home of the TV series. Pay $9.99 a month for its With Ads plan, and with three tiers available following a Max subscription. View Deal Fans might note that Hermione actress Arabella Stanton is an actress of color, standing in juxtaposition to Emma Watson. Hermione's race is never explicitly mentioned in the Potter books, as much as she's supposed to have curly hair. There was some backlash when Black actress Noma Dumezweni was cast in the role for Cursed Child's Broadway and West End productions, with Rowling coming to her defense. It should be fascinating to see what this young trio of actors brings to their roles in the Harry Potter TV show... especially considering how passionate the generations of Wizarding World fans are. They've got some big shoes to fill, but expanding each book into a full season of television should allow for them to flesh out unique takes on Harry, Ron and Hermione. Just like the film series, we're getting relative unknown for this trio, who will be acting along acclaimed actors in the adult roles. Although to be fair, Stanton has been working on the West End. This trio will be joining previously announced actors like Jon Lithgow and rumored ones like Ted Lasso's Brett Goldstein. Fans are wondering if the OG cast might be back as different roles, although Daniel Radcliffe has seemingly put the kibosh on that himself. The Harry Potter TV show isn't part of the 2025 TV premiere list, but that's not stopping anticipation from steadily building. Hopefully we get more information about this highly anticipated project sooner rather than later.

Dan Bucatinsky details his cherished bond with ‘Hacks' co-stars Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder

The curtain has closed on another season of 'Hacks.' Dan Bucatinsky, who plays Rob, the executive producer of 'Late Night with Deborah Vance,' on the comedy/drama, is getting candid on wrapping Season 4 — and the best part of filming the Max series. 'It was the relationship that I was able to form with Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder,' the actor, 59, exclusively told The Post at the 2025 Astra Awards. 'That friendship is one that I will cherish. Being able to get to know them off camera, then get to play with them on camera, was a dream.' 9 Dan Bucatinsky in 'Hacks.' Max 'So much of my job on that show was playing the guy whose job it was to wrangle these two forces,' Bucatinsky explained. 'I'm a dad of two, so I was playing dad a little bit on the show as well. But the gift really was being part of that community that felt very strong both behind the scenes and in front of the camera.' The show follows the friendship between Smart, 73, who stars as legendary Las Vegas comic Deborah Vance, and comedy writer Ava Daniels, who is played by Einbinder, 30. 'They move very, very fast, and there is so much material being shot, and they are shooting multiple episodes at the same time,' he explained to the Post. 9 Dan Bucatinsky as Rob in 'Hacks.' Max As for their downtime, the 'Scandal' alum and his costars 'would hang out in this little greenroom area' by their chairs. 'We would talk. We would keep each other warm,' he recalled. 'We would go get tea. We would go get snacks. We would ask each other advice about everything. Recommendations of movies and documentaries and doctors. And talk about our kids and our pets. And it was really an opportunity in between scenes to really get to know one another.' 'Hacks' has been renewed for Season 5, with Smart recently expressing why she thinks it's a good time to wrap up Deborah Vance's story. 9 Dan Bucatinsky shares behind the scenes photos of shooting Season 4 of 'Hacks.' danbucatinsky/Instagram 9 Dan Bucatinsky behind the scenes of 'Hacks.' danbucatinsky/Instagram 'I think we've pretty much decided that five seasons is [it], and I think that would feel right,' she told E! News earlier this month. 'You never want to overstay your welcome.' Smart's portrayal earned her three consecutive Emmys for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, two Golden Globe Awards for Best Actress in a Television Series Musical or Comedy and three SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series. Bucatinsky, meanwhile, also has another onscreen role in mind. 9 Dan Bucatinsky posted videos to Instagram from his time shooting Season 4. danbucatinsky/Instagram 9 Dan Bucatinsky while shooting 'Hacks.' danbucatinsky/Instagram 'I want to play a villain,' he told The Post. 'I want to play a criminal, a villain or a cop. Maybe not a cop that is a criminal or a villain, but why not?' For 'The Comeback' alum, he would love to star opposite in a criminal cop thriller with a handful of A-listers. 'I loved working with Corey Hawkins so much on '24: Legacy.' I'd love to work with him again. But Lisa Kudrow has been a friend and partner of mine for 20 years, so I always love working with her again,' Bucatinsky detailed. 'I've really been lucky to work with a lot of great, strong women, and I really hope that continues because I am a fan of so many. Kristen Bell. And his favorite was on 'The Post,' which was directed by Steven Spielberg. 'I think that he managed to make an unbelievable craft service that I had never seen before,' he said of Spielberg on set of the 2017 film that told the story of The Washington Post exposing the Pentagon Papers. 'It was like being in a restaurant every single night and every single day and at lunch! It was exciting. And you'd expect nothing less from Spielberg and Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks. It better be good.' These days, when Bucatinksy isn't acting in a hit television show, he's watching Bravo's 'Housewives' franchise. 9 Miranda Otto and Dan Bucatinsky in '24: Legacy.' ©20thCentFox/Courtesy Everett Collection 9 Dan Bucatinsky at the 2025 Astra TV Awards. 'Every season is an opportunity for a new piece of chemistry that either will work or it will explode and I'm sure they are hoping it will explode,' he stated. 'I'm a big fan. I've watched for years, and years, and years. I'm friends with some of them. I'm friends with Garcelle. So, I'm rooting for the franchise, and I'm rooting for all the women.'
