Beloved Bravolebrity: Mauricio Umansky to visit Halifax for The Agency launch party
One of Bravo's most beloved 'house husbands' is headed for Halifax. Mauricio Umansky first rose to fame through appearances on 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,' which premiered in 2010. As CEO of The Agency – a global, boutique real estate brokerage that has 130 offices in 13 countries – Umansky's brand has also been featured on Bravo's 'Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles' and Netflix's 'Buying Beverly Hills.' In February 2024, The Agency added a Halifax location to its firm and, this Sunday, it will hold its official launch party and ribbon-cutting. 'We wanted to do it last year, but it was so hectic opening up everything and figuring out all the logistics. We obviously want Mauricio to attend as well, so just getting everyone's schedules aligned,' said Megan Landry, managing director at The Agency Halifax. 'We have Burnside Pizzeria and Propeller Beer sponsoring us, so we're going to be serving donairs and beer and anyone that wants to come and meet him can meet him.' 'He's not tried donairs before so that's why we're serving donairs at lunch,' said Landry. 'It's not every day that an owner, CEO of a huge multi-million dollar company will show his face and show up. I have so much respect for him that he is showing up and he supports us and he wants to see Halifax and meet the agents and really get to know where the office is and the location.' 'They were excited and I think it's just a new opportunity for clients in Nova Scotia just to have a different experience when it comes to selling and buying. It's definitely exciting just for Nova Scotia in general to have such a well-known brokerage come to a smaller province,' said Landry. Umansky is known for representing multi-million dollar properties such as the Walt Disney Estate and the Playboy Mansion. While Halifax may not have the same market as Beverly Hills or Los Angeles, Landry says it's all about growth. 'The Agency is definitely more on the luxury side of things, but Nova Scotia only has so many high-end homes. Whether we're selling a $4-million home or a $400,000 home, we're still giving that white-glove service to every possible client,' she said. 'The Agency's No. 1 slogan is 'collaboration is key,' and so when you're working with us in Halifax, you're not only working with just the Halifax agents, it is also agents from all over the globe.' (Courtesy: The Agency Halifax) In addition to the Nova Scotia office, The Agency also has brokerages in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, and Quebec. 'In Halifax right now we have 12 agents. We still want to keep a small boutique feel, it's more quality over quantity. However, we'll keep expanding. We have an open-door policy and we'd love to invite more agents over,' said Landry. The Agency Halifax will also host an invite-only cocktail event Sunday at its newest listing – three luxury penthouses at The Roy. 'Unlike any other condominium in Halifax – or Nova Scotia – The Roy sets a new standard for luxury living in Atlantic Canada. The penthouses crown this 22-storey landmark with expansive layouts, floor-to-ceiling glass offering panoramic harbour and city views, designer kitchens, spa-inspired bathrooms, and private terraces,' said Landry. 'Residents enjoy 24-hour concierge service and exclusive access to The Roy Club – an entire floor dedicated to resort-style amenities including an indoor pool, gym, spa, theatre, and private lounge spaces, all located steps from downtown and the waterfront.' The public event will be held at The Agency's Halifax office in the Hydrostone from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more Nova Scotia news, visit our dedicated provincial page

Kendra Wilkinson reveals her biggest regret about living in the Playboy Mansion
Kendra Wilkinson often reflects on moving into the Playboy Mansion at the tender age of 18. In 2004 the star — who turns 40 on Thursday — moved from San Diego to Los Angeles to become one of Hugh Hefner's three live-in girlfriends alongside Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt. Speaking with Fox News Digital this week, the blonde bombshell revealed the one regret she has about her four years in the sprawling abode. 'The only thing I can say I regret in my life is not starting my real estate career while I was living at the Playboy Mansion,' she told the outlet. Wilkinson explained, 'I was surrounded by everyone — every celebrity, every billionaire, and what was I thinking? But I'm now in real estate, so I'm good.' Wilkinson rose to fame on the E! unscripted series The Girls Next Door, which followed her life as one of Hefner's girlfriends. The show lasted for six seasons between 2005 and 2010 and she lived at the famous estate from 2004-2009. She began her real estate career when she got her license in 2020 and joined fellow reality star realtor Mauricio Umansky's The Agency. A docuseries, dubbed Kendra Sells Hollywood on Discovery+, showcased her struggle as a new agent in the bustling industry. It lasted for two seasons from 2021-2023. The star told People last November that she was 'off mentally' while filming the show. 'I feel a little regret filming my last show because I wasn't really ready,' she confessed at the time. 'I was a little off mentally and I wasn't prepared to be on a camera just yet. I wasn't fully healed or there yet. Now I feel there.' Kendra was married to her ex-husband, former NFL star Hank Baskett, from 2009 to 2018. They share two children: son Hank Baskett IV, 15, and daughter Alijah, 11. Speaking with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes on their self-titled podcast in March, the blonde bombshell referred to her time being married as the 'happiest days of my entire life.' 'And so when those days came to an end, I crumbled so hard, and it almost killed me. It almost killed me,' she emphasized. Kendra elaborated: 'I left the Playboy Mansion at age 23, got pregnant, got married at the age of 23, then started my life as a wife and a mother, and it was the golden years of my life.' Looking back at her choice to settle down with Hank, she affirmed: 'It was the right timing. I found myself so bored at the Playboy Mansion. I was just like, 'I'm ready to leave this place. I'm ready to start a family. I'm ready for the lifestyle: My kids go to a great school. I'm a soccer mom. I'm a softball mom. I'm a basketball mom.'' She added, 'I manifested it, and it came to me, and I met the perfect man, the man of my dreams.' And Kendra heaped praise on her ex, noting, 'Even though we're divorced, he's the father of my kids and he's the most amazing father to my kids, and I know I chose right with him.'

Kyle Richards carries $100K purse as she meets up with estranged husband Mauricio Umansky for lunch
Kyle Richards carried a pricey accessory during a lunch outing with estranged husband Mauricio Umansky and two of their daughters on Thursday. The 56-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star toted a turquoise, crocodile Hermès Birkin bag with a $127,000 price tag. She teamed the standout piece with a printed blue and white blouse and flared, light wash jeans. Her look was rounded out with open-toe black heels that flashed her dark pedicure. Meanwhile, the 54-year-old real estate broker, from whom Kyle split in 2023, was casually dressed black joggers, a white T-shirt, black jacket, and a backwards red hat. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Kyle and Mauricio were joined by Kyle's firstborn child from her marriage to ex-husband Guraish Aldjufrie, 36-yer-old Farrah Aldjufrie. Farrah wore a ribbed yellow sweater, wide-leg jeans, and beige sneakers while sporting dark sunglasses. Also with them was their 25-year-old daughter Sophia, who was fashionable in a strapless black dress with a flared maxi skirt. She rounded out the on-trend summery look with black leather ballet flats and black sunglasses. At the end of the family lunch at Il Pastaio in Beverly Hills, Mauricio and Kyle shared a friendly hug. Missing from the scene were their two other daughters, 17-year-old Portia and 28-year-old Alexia. Speaking with Us Weekly last October, Kyle opened up about her next steps with Mauricio. The couple announced their separation in July 2023 after 27 years of marriage, but have not yet filed for divorce. 'I don't know what the future holds right now with Mauricio and me. We love each other. So that part is easy. 'What's not easy is figuring out what's next. We're not divorced; he doesn't live here, but we're still figuring things out. On the show, people felt they were owed answers and thought I was withholding stuff — but I'm figuring it out myself,' she said candidly. Asked if fans will get more insight into the strained marriage on season 15 of RHOBH, Richards answered: 'Mau shot with me quite a bit. He'll come over for dinner and it's like nothing has changed, yet everything has changed. 'The best way I can put it is that we're family. It's easy for us to get along because we never fought. That was not an issue in our marriage; there's so much love there.' Last season on the show, the couple unpacked paparazzi photos of Umansky kissing a young woman during a trip to Mykonos, Greece. 'You know that I would never wanna do anything on purpose that would hurt you or the kids. I really am sorry for... You know, hurting you. I would never want to hurt you on purpose,' the real estate mogul said during a heartfelt scene. Richards responded, 'I know that you would never do that on purpose. I know that you did not know your picture was being taken. I don't know that the other person didn't know that.' She acknowledged that it was 'hard to see,' but added, 'We are separated and we're allowed to do what we want in this time. It's just strange, you know?'

Real Housewives star's shock Aussie bombshell
Real estate playboy and reality TV star Mauricio Umansky predicts housing will become affordable again in as little as six months. Speaking on the sidelines of the Australasian Real Estate Conference (AREC) on the Gold Coast, the founder of US real estate brokerage, The Agency, made the bold prediction about the future of the embattled sector. 'You need to have some pain in the economies for (costs) to go down,' Mr Umansky said. 'Interest rates need to drop. We're in a complicated time because of the infusion of money that was put into the economy during Covid. 'Once we recover from that, we'll see transactions and affordability start happening. I predict that will start happening as early as six months to as late as 18 months from now.' The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Buying Beverly Hills star was mobbed by fans during his brief visit Downunder, a week after being photographed having a night out with a mystery blonde in Los Angeles. 'It's been fun,' he said. 'I've been mobbed a little bit, but I'm okay!' Mr Umansky's personal life has become the subject of attention since his split with wife and RHOBT star Kyle Richards. Swimming golden girls spill secrets to success He admitted to having planned to bring a special someone with him during his visit to Queensland, but a last minute invitation to a wedding in Monaco cut his stay short. While he admits being a Netflix star has helped build his brand and generate more awareness about The Agency, it has come with sacrifices. 'I used reality television to build The Agency,' he said. 'The sacrifice of being on reality television is great. 'If you asked me today, if I would do that again, I dont know. It's an amazing marketing tool, but the sacrifice is your life becomes so public. 'People think they know you because of an hour on television. They don't know you, but they think they know you. It's an invasion of privacy — it's very difficult.' But the luxury property mogul, who famously sold the Playboy Mansion, hasn't written off the possibility of a Buying Beverly Hills spin-off in Australia. 'You never know! I've already put myself out there, so I'll do Buying Sydney, I'll do buying Australia, I'll do it all.'

EXCLUSIVE RHOBH Kyle Richards' secret plan for payback after 'vile' online abuse over marriage trouble and balding daughter
star Kyle Richards wants to quit her Los Angeles life and move to a farm to escape social media trolls, she revealed to in an exclusive interview. The entrepreneur and reality star, 56, is ready to ditch her $8.5million Encino mansion and her fame from the long-running hit Bravo series, to get 'off the grid' due to online attacks, she said. Richards, who has over four million Instagram followers, has faced abuse on social media over her separation from LA celebrity realtor Mauricio Umansky and mean comments over her daughter Sophia experiencing balding after taking a weight loss drug. Her RHOBH co-star Teddi Mellencamp was even targeted during her fight with stage four cancer and brain tumors, Richards said. 'Social media is just such a scary place,' she told 'It's so toxic, it's so negative. I can't stand it. 'I've been telling my friends lately, that's it, I'm moving to a farm. I am going off the grid. The reality star told that she's said to her friends in the past that she's ready to sell her $8.5million Encino mansion and move to a farm 'I'm going to live off the land. I don't want to go on any social media.' Richards revealed she sometimes thinks to herself 'Oh, it's fun', posts a picture and then is appalled by a 'negative and toxic' reaction. 'I think about the young children and teens, how it affects their mental health,' she said. 'It's scary, social media. 'It's very unhealthy. I know there can be a lot of good things. A lot of people make money on social media and when we have something positive to share or we can bring awareness it is great. 'But there's a very dark side to it that is very upsetting to me as a mom and as a human being.' Richards is sickened at reading vile comments about her family and friends even when they post positive or inspiring news. The actress was stunned that Mellencamp, who has stage four cancer and recently underwent emergency surgery to remove multiple brain tumors, received mixed comments on her fight. 'People will be so nice and supportive and then they'll be mean about something else,' Richards said. 'Why can't people just all come together and be kind? If you don't have something nice to say, don't say it at all. 'Even Teddi's had comments. What is wrong with people?' Richards said she tries to 'tune that stuff out' and focus on 'how to use your platform for the good when you can'. 'I tell myself every day, these comments do not reflect the truth of what everybody thinks. We have to tell ourselves that all the time,' she said. Richards expressed she is proud that her four daughters have ignored the hatred and said they have trusted advice from their parents on how to deal with internet trolls and bullying posts. This month her daughter Sophia Umansky, 25, told naysayers to 'calm down' after she was criticized for suffering hair loss from taking the weight-loss drug Mounjaro. In 2022, youngest daughter Portia, then 14, was 'harassed' over her appearance on RHOBH and her social media posts, but her mother said she refused to take comments seriously. When the teen posted a picture on Instagram of herself on a family trip to London, one commenter wrote 'get the f*** outta here' and another wrote 'f*** off'. 'It really has to start with what you teach them at home and how that impacts them and how not letting outside forces affect them,' her mother said. 'I'm fortunate that my daughters are very confident. 'They are bullied on there all the time. They let it roll off their shoulders and it doesn't bother them, but they've also seen their mom be bullied. 'So not everyone's in that situation. So, I really think it's how you talk to your kids at home. 'Kids shouldn't have phones really young, and as long as you keep them off social media as long as possible. It's getting harder and harder these days, but I think it really starts at home, that conversation.' Richards spoke at a fundraising event for the Women's Cancer Research Fund, held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills on April 29. The event honored campaigners and gave tributes to cancer survivors and the memory of those impacted by cancer. Richards' mother died of breast cancer in 2002. For 26 years, the event has brought together leaders in entertainment, cancer research and corporate philanthropy to raise funds for pioneering cancer research conducted at leading medical and academic institutions in California and across the US. Richards attended, proudly supporting Mellencamp as well as actress and activist Olivia Munn, who received the 'Courage Award' for selflessly sharing her ongoing breast cancer journey. Richards said a positive about her reality TV career and having millions of Instagram followers has been encouraging women to get cancer screenings by getting mammograms on camera Richards said a positive outcome of her reality TV career and having 4.3 million Instagram followers has been encouraging women to get regular cancer screenings. 'That's why one of the reasons on the Housewives I go and have mammograms on camera, is to remind women to go get their mammograms and about early detection,' she said. 'My mom didn't have a mammogram for five years. If she had, she'd maybe still be here today. 'So whenever you can use your platform to bring awareness is huge and to inspire people and give hope.' Offline, Richards has also helped friends with cancer-related issues. She told People Magazine in 2023 that after country music star Morgan Wade had a preventative double mastectomy, Richards helped connect her with the nonprofit Mission Plasticos, which provides no-cost reconstructive surgical care to people without health insurance or who are under-insured. Richards also gushed about her Real Housewives co-star and cancer sufferer Mellencamp. 'Teddi being so strong as she is and going through what she's gone through and the severity of what she's gone through, and to be able to show up here and give people hope and bring awareness, I mean, she's inundated with people, who are saying that because of her they're going to get a full body check,' Richards told 'Everybody I know tells me that and she's saving lives by talking about it and by showing up and just being who she is. She's giving people so much hope too.' The WCRF, a program of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, supports the advancement of the world's most promising research directed at the development of innovative approaches to the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, survivorship and metastasis of breast cancer.
