Severe thunderstorm watch issued for Calgary: ECCC

A severe thunderstorm watch was issued for Calgary late Sunday morning.
Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) posted the watch at 11:30 a.m.
"Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms from early this afternoon to this evening,' it said. 'Local travel delays are possible. Driving conditions may be difficult.
'When thunder roars, go indoors! Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year.'
Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for producing storms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain.
