EXCLUSIVE Wimbledon dress code: What NOT to wear - plus the best looks guaranteed to impress, according to a stylist
In a matter of days, thousands of celebrities and sports fans will be making their way to south west London to watch athletes compete to raise the coveted Wimbledon trophy. And while the tennis action is the main draw for most, many will be using the hallowed ground of the All England Club as their own personal catwalk, showing off their best style for the grand summer occasion. Last year's tournament attracted some of the best dressed stars Wimbledon has ever seen. Among the most stylish celebrities who attended in 2024 were Naomi Campbell, Ellie Goulding and Margot Robbie. Meanwhile, Queen Camilla held court in the Royal Box, and the Princess of Wales made a surprise appearance in a stunning purple dress. But those hoping to dress their best for Wimbledon are running out of time to pick their ensembles - this year, the competition runs from Monday, June 30 to Sunday, July 13. Players have to adhere to a slightly stricter dress code than at other slams, being instructed to wear white on court. And now attendees can also opt for casual chic-style ensembles - Wimbledon has recently launched a sophisticated collection of court-ready looks from trendy knit skirts to chic denim jackets. Available at the 'Court to Club' capsule is a curated edit designed to allow fashion lovers to move seamlessly from court-side to post-match socialising and country club style. But while there are certain outfits on the British High Street that are guaranteed to impress guests at the London competition, there are also some ensembles attendees should shun if they have any hopes of making an impression at Wimbledon this year. A classic summer dress New Look White Broderie Anglaise Belted Midi Shirt Dress £69.99 Shop Primark Blue Cropped Denim Jacket £20 Shop Last year Naomi Campbell looked typically stylish in a white figure-hugging summer dress, teamed with a denim jacket. She accessorised with trendy silver sunglasses, while completing the ensemble with white sandals and a white Hermes handbag. The look can be recreated by pairing a New Look white shirt dress with a Primark cropped denim jacket. £93 Shop Maya Jama opted for a striking mix of classy and racy for the summer tournament. She flashed her toned physique in a cream knitted top and midi skirt, which she teamed with a pair of lace-up heels. The Love Island host carried her belongings in a small white handbag and hid her eyes behind black shades while posing for snaps. Emulate this look by wearing an earth tone co-ord or pairing a similarly coloured low-rise midi skirt with a tweed jacket, like this one at ASOS. Asymmetric dressing Mango Asymmetrical Dress With Gathered Sides £89.99 Shop Kate Middleton showed off her stylish silhouette in a stunning purple ankle-length dress with gathered detailing. A pair of nude leather pointed pumps were the right touch of chic for the gorgeous dress which you'll want to snap up if you plan to dazzle onlookers like the future queen. A similar one can be found at Mango. Navy Cotton Midi Dress £130 Shop A great way to turn heads at Wimbledon this year is by donning a smart-casual dress, like Ellie Goulding. The popstar cut an elegant figure in a smart navy blue midi dress as she made her way to Centre Court. She paired them with black strappy heels. Polka dots Phase Eight Delie Spot Midi Dress in Black/Ivory Anything with polka dots is sure to make a stylish statement and have you standing out from the crowd. Margot Robbie- who attended Wimbledon last year showing her baby bump - did just that in a maternity style black and white chiffon midi dress with added scarf detail. Margot complemented her look with black heeled mules, a bowling bag and sunglasses as she joined husband Tom Ackerley, also 34, in the stands. Grab this chic version by Phase Eight, available at John Lewis. Old money Karen Millen Viscose Blend Filament Full Skirt Knit Midi Dress £129 Shop A mixture of elegance and chic as seen on AJ Odudu at Wimbledon will always be welcomed at Wimbledon. Sans the pricey bag, you can emulate this style with a selection of court essentials at Florals Mango Ruffled floral print dress A floral dress is fitting for any summer occasion, and so was style icon Emma Weymouth's dazzling aqua ruffled number. The unique dress features pink and yellow petals as well as a stunning ruffled neckline. She paired the look with a pair of bright white pointed pumps. Opt for a floor or midi length floral dress with a vibrant-coloured pattern such as this dupe at Mango. All whites Reiss White Fitted Blazer £280 Shop Skins actress Kaya Scodelario turned heads at Wimbledon 2024 in an all white pants suit, which she paired with a contrasting navy handbag. A similar co-ord by Reiss will have you looking chic for this year's tournament. What not to wear at Wimbledon While there are outfits that are set to impress anyone attending the London competition, there are also some outfits attendees should shun if they have any hopes of making an impression at Wimbledon this year. Speaking to FEMAIL, British award-winning personal stylist Lisa Talbot says the Wimbledon dress code is all about 'timeless elegance' and one should aim to align their look with the 'refined atmosphere of the event'. 'Denim shorts, slogan T-shirts, and loud logos should also be left at home' she added. 'Think understated sophistication rather than street style. 'Clashing prints, neon colours, and overly flashy accessories can feel out of place in the traditionally polished setting of Wimbledon. While it's tempting to make a fashion statement, the goal should be stylish subtlety'. She also shared a cautionary tale for fans planning to emulate celebrity style - and cited the unfortunate mishap in 2015 when Lewis Hamilton was denied entrance into the Royal Box after failing to wear a shirt and tie and instead donning a floral shirt. 'For a fail-safe approach, channel your inner Kate Middleton; crisp tailoring, modest silhouettes, and a nod to classic British summer style'.

Margot Robbie in resurfaced State of Origin video
Don't miss out on the headlines from Entertainment. Followed categories will be added to My News. Margot Robbie has appeared in a resurfaced video from State of Origin in 2009. The Hollywood actress, now 34 and living in Los Angeles, featured in a filmed segment for skincare brand Nivea titled 'Margot's World', which followed the then 18-year-old as she attended game one of the series that year. A maroon-clad Robbie, who was born in Dalby and raised on the Gold Coast in Queensland, could be seen screaming the legendary maroons chant, 'Queenslander' alongside her friends, which included Neighbours co-star Ashleigh Brewer. 'Really excited for tonight, State of Origin game one, it's kind of like, the big event of the year for football,' Robbie said on camera. The Barbie star, who was a regular cast member on Neighbours at the time, also revealed she wanted to play league in school but 'they wouldn't let girls play.' Margot Robbie in a 2009 video supporting the Maroons at the State of Origin, opposite her Neighbours co-star Ashleigh Brewer. Robbie was clad in Maroons gear. 'Which was something that really frustrated me. I begged our football coach,' she continued. 'I did play touch football, and unofficially with friends we would always kick the footy.' Flash forward just over a decade and Robbie is now the highest paid actress in showbiz, per a Forbes report in 2023. Robbie was the highest paid actress in Hollywood in 2023. Picture: Wiktor Szymanowicz/Anadolu Agency via Getty Images She left Neighbours in 2010 and got her big Hollywood break in Martin Scorsese's Wolf of Wall Street in 2013, starring opposite Leonardo DiCaprio. Orlando Bloom and Jerry Bruckheimer Tease New PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN Movie — GeekTyrant
The Pirates of the Caribbean isn't quite dead, right now it's just drifting between ports, and it sounds like Disney might finally be preparing to set sail again, though which direction the ship will take is still very much up in the air. During a recent appearance on This Morning (via SFX Magazine), Orlando Bloom, who played Will Turner offered a cryptic tease when asked if he might return. 'There's been all kinds of things. Who knows? There's been talk. I can't say anything at the moment, because I really don't know. I think they're trying to work out what it would all look like. 'I, personally, think it would be great to get the band back together. That would be great. But there are always different ideas, so we'll see where it lands.' Disney and longtime producer Jerry Bruckheimer are apparently looking at two official projects. One is a full franchise reboot written by Jeff Nathanson ( Dead Men Tell No Tales, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull ), featuring an entirely new cast and story. The other is a Margot Robbie-led spin-off with a script by Christina Hodson ( Bumblebee, The Flash ), a project that's been talked about for a while but hasn't officially moved forward. Interestingly, there's a third option now floating in the waters, a new installment that reunites some of the original cast, including Bloom, and possibly even Johnny Depp and Keira Knightley. In fact, Bruckheimer himself recently confirmed to ScreenRant that a script is in the works that could do exactly that. 'We're working on a screenplay. Hopefully we'll get it right — and then we'll make it. We really want to make it, that's for sure.' When pressed on whether this would be a complete reboot with all-new faces, Bruckheimer clarified: 'Well, not all new actors. We'll have some back. I'm not going to tell you which ones — you'll have to guess.' With five films already released, and Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017) setting up a new generation of pirates via Brenton Thwaites' Henry Turner, it's possible the next entry could blend of new blood and legacy characters might be the smartest way forward. Especially if Disney wants to reignite fan enthusiasm without completely abandoning the swashbuckling soul of the series. So, what kind of voyage should Disney embark on? A reboot? A Margot Robbie-led detour? Or one last grand adventure with the original crew? Either way, the wind's picking up, and this ship might be ready to sail sooner than we think.

Wimbledon dress code: What to wear and what NOT to wear to the 2025 tennis championships
British summertime has a few hallmarks: Pimms, picnics in the park, day trips to the seaside and, of course, the Wimbledon tennis championships. With our fave royals, celebs and socialites all flocking to sit court-side, it's no wonder spectators of all kinds want to put their best Manolos forward. From buttoned-up tailoring to ladylike dresses, we've rounded up the best celeb inspo to kick-start your Wimbledon wardrobe. Wimbledon runs from Monday, 30 June to Sunday, 13 July in 2025. So you're safe! You've still got the perfect buffer time to queue up looks to get you through the tournament. Not for spectators, unless you've scored those glorious Royal Box tickets. However, smart dress is encouraged (especially within Centre Court and Court One) and there is a small list of forbidden items: running vests, ripped jeans, dingy trainers, big designer logos, offensive slogans, and anything with a political statement. As oversized hats are also not allowed, it is worth leaving those in your hat box for our Ascot girlies. Attendees tend to stick to a light colour palette to echo what we see on Centre Court, but you are welcome to wear whatever speaks to you. Take notes from Vick Hope's chocolate leather ensemble, Amelia Dimoldenburg's navy pinstripes, Jodie Turner-Smith's purple satin trousers, or Margot Robbie's polka dot dress – all below. Like the players, they might just have the winning formula... Our Champions muse is very well-versed in chicly sitting court-side. Zendaya paired a traditional herringbone blazer with an undone button-up and jeans. Bonus points for you if you have a pochette-esque shoulder bag to top it off. Unsurprisingly, Nicola Coughlan (aka Bridgerton's Penelope Featherington) knows how to dress for an occasion. Opt for a classic white dress with dreamy details like eyelets or touches of broderie anglaise paired with a neutral mule. Perhaps we're a tad biased, but our April cover star (!!) Amelia Dimoldenberg nailed this look. A touch office siren and a touch traditionalist, Amelia paired a white-button down and fitted navy pinstripe suit with fun accessories like a knitted tie and grey pointed pumps. A navy slip might just be the ultimate cheat code for compliments. Simone Ashley gets the low-effort / maximum style memo. Simply finish with a white peep-toe and you're ready for the match. Controversial, but I love a bit of summer leather. Vick Hope goes all out in a chic brown leather co-ord worth copying. If an all-leather look seems a bit too daunting, swap the top for a lighter texture (think crochet or fine knit) in the same colour. Nothing is as classic as a polka dot dres,s especially on Margot Robbie. Black finishing touches like her rectangular sunnies and leather mules add just the right amount of modernity. Monochrome girls, this is your calling! You know we're fans of Bermuda shorts this summer, so it only makes sense that Emma Corrin's butter yellow version makes our list. Go for a polished brogue or a subtle heel for maximum style points. Although divisive amongst traditionalists, jeans are allowed as long as they aren't ripped. We'd recommend a classic silhouette like a straight leg or a more contemporary alternative like a barrel. And stick to darker washes for a more formal feel. Why not?! Maybe stick to a heel height or silhouette you are comfortable in. Luckily, mules and comfy wedges are all back in season, so there is no shortage of ways to feel good whilst looking polished. Yes – metal and opaque bottles must be emptied before the security checkpoint, but once inside the grounds, you are able to top up at one of the many hydration stations. Of course. However, there is a limit of one per person, and they must be no larger than 40cm x 30cm x 30cm (this translates into a small handbag). All bags will be searched at the entry point. Hardsided bags, picnic baskets and containers aren't allowed. Angel Cordova-Todd is the Fashion Assistant at Cosmopolitan UK, Red and Prima.
