PFF feels Texas A&M will have 'elite' run game in 2025 behind veteran offensive line

It cannot be overstated how vital Texas A&M's offensive line will be this coming season in determining just how successful the offense could be, outside of starting quarterback Marcel Reed improving as a pocket passer. In the backfield, senior running back Le'Veon Moss will lead the way, followed by Rueben Owens and Amari Daniels providing elite depth. Under OC Collin Klein, the run game will continue to be a focus, providing Moss, Owens, and Daniels a pathway to leading the offense in what could be the most balanced attack in college football, thanks to the new additions at wide receiver, which will provide a boost to the passing game. Still, the run game is the primary strength, and behind Texas A&M's veteran offensive line, this group should lead the SEC in total rushing yardage. One name that continues to make the national media rounds is senior right guard Ar'maj Reed-Adams, who, after transferring from Kansas last season, has emerged as the team's top run blocker and will likely pave the way for the running back corps throughout the season. This week, Pro Football Focus previewed the Aggies' running attack, highlighting Reed-Adams and the rest of the projected starting O-line. "This is something to be excited about for Texas A&M. We've talked about just the absolute slew of ball carriers that they have. We're going to be flying all over the field, but it starts with this front five. And in their first year under Collin Klein, 27th in the nation in overall grade, 25th in run blocking grade, and it should be even better than that this year, especially with the diverse schemes." "And you got to remember, the first half of last year, they really didn't know what they wanted their offense to be. Now with the dual-threat (Marcel) Reed as they quarterback heading into the season with a full offseason as the starter, I think the diversity you can get into with these run schemes, with the way Collin Klein calls his offense, they're going to do alot of different things up front. But they're physical, they're talented, they're consistent; I think Klein's going to have them playing even better this year." With a veteran offensive line, especially one with extensive SEC experience, Collin Klein has a plan to keep opposing defenses off kilter with various run schemes that will feature Marcel Reed making plays with his legs. The talent is there, it's just about putting it together and playing with consistency. Texas A&M Star WR Boosts NIL Valuation in 2025

Texas A&M Star WR Boosts NIL Valuation in 2025 originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Texas A&M's biggest offseason win for 2025 is the addition of former NC State wide receiver KC Concepcion, a dynamic playmaker expected to immediately become the Aggies' top offensive threat. With the departure of Ainais Smith to the NFL, Texas A&M lacked a true No. 1 receiver until Concepcion stepped in. Advertisement Known for his explosiveness after the catch, he averaged over 11 yards per reception during his standout 2023 season. Though his production dipped in 2024, the arrival of new offensive coordinator Collin Klein could reignite his performance in College Station. Former NC State Wolfpack wide receiver KC Concepcion.© Nathan Ray Seebeck-USA TODAY Sports Concepcion brings more than just on-field value. According to On3's Pete Nakos, he has already secured $2.5 million in Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deals, which bring to light both his talent and market appeal. His transfer also comes at a pivotal time, following the House v. NCAA settlement that allows Power Five programs to share over $20 million annually with athletes. Over two seasons at NC State, Concepcion tallied 1,299 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns, plus 356 rushing yards and two scores, showcasing his versatility. His presence gives starting quarterback Marcel Reed a reliable and electric target, significantly elevating Texas A&M's offensive potential for the 2025 season. Texas A&M Football Preview 2025: Aggies Season Prediction, Win Total Projection, Top Players

Texas A&M Aggies Key to the Season Let the offensive line take this isn't the best front five in college football, it won't be too far off. It's loaded with experience and NFL talent, and it should be able to take over games. A&M was great at controlling the clock, and Marcel Reed got plenty of time to cook - both will happen Aggies were 6-0 when running for over 170 yards, 2-5 when they didn't. They're about to bash away. Texas A&M Aggies Key Player TJ Searcy, EDGE Dayon Hayes. The Aggies not only have to replace a bulk of the pass rushers from last year, but they also need more production. Washington transfer Jordan Shaw can play corner, but he's a better fit as a freelancing safety who can go attack the is a 260-pound four-year producer for Rutgers, who made 164 tackles with 2.5 sacks and eight tackles for loss. Searcy has a world of upside after making 60 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and eight tackles for loss in two years at Florida. 2025 Texas A&M PreviewTexas A&M Offense BreakdownTexas A&M Defense Breakdown Texas A&M Aggies Top Transfer, Biggest Transfer Loss Top Transfer In: KC Concepcion, WR Aggies needed a star receiver, and they got the guy who might be the best in the portal. A monster at NC State with 18 total touchdowns in two years, he's a special Transfer Out: Conner Weigman, QB Reed is the starter, and the Aggies have a few nice backups, but it would've been wonderful to still have a 6-3, 220-pound passer with Weigman's skills still around. He'll be great for Houston now. Texas A&M Aggies Key Game at Texas, Nov. 29Once again, this wonderful rivalry game should matter one way or another in the SEC Championship A&M hasn't won this showdown since 2010 - of course, they stopped playing each other in 2011, and last year the Longhorns won 17-7.- 2025 Texas A&M Schedule Breakdown Texas A&M Aggies Top 10 Players 1. SEC teams ranked from worst to first in odds of winning the national title

SEC teams ranked from worst to first in odds of winning the national title The 2025 college football season is less than two months away. This year feels as wide open as it has in a long time. A number of the teams projected to be among the best in 2025 are facing turnover at the most important position on the field, the quarterback. 11 of the 16 SEC teams will have a different quarterback than the one that started week one of the 2024 season. Two of those teams, Texas A&M and Florida found upgrades during the season by turning to younger, inexperienced signal callers like Marcel Reed and D.J. Lagway. Five programs are banking on transfer quarterbacks giving them a boost this season, while programs like Texas, LSU, and Alabama will be relying on passers that have been in the program for more than two seasons. The 2025 season will be here before we know it and here's how the SEC ranks in odds to win the national championship. All college football odds via BetMGM Get more betting analysis and predictions at Sportsbook Wire. More: SEC schools ranked academically by U.S. News for 2025 16. Mississippi State Bulldogs Odds to win National Championship: +100,000 Jeff Lebby has a tall order ahead of him to get the Bulldogs out of the SEC basement. The offense can create problems for opposing defenses but there's still too big of a talent gap for Mississippi State to be serious contenders. 15. Vanderbilt Commodores Odds to win National Championship: +50,000 Diego Pavia created some of the best moments of the 2024 college football season with wins over Alabama and Auburn and playing Texas to a one-score game. Vanderbilt is the team nobody wants on their schedule but they won't win the national championship. 13 (tied). Kentucky Wildcats Odds to win National Championship: +20,000 Mark Stoops has been one of the most consistent head coaches in the SEC but he hasn't been able to push the Wildcats to the top of the conference. 13 (tied). Arkansas Razorbacks Odds to win National Championship: +20,000 Taylen Green and Bobby Petrino helped the Razorbacks have an improved season in 2024. However, it may be too much of an ask to expect Arkansas to be a national title contender in 2025. 12. Missouri Tigers Odds to win National Championship: +12,500 Brady Cook was the heart and soul of the Missouri Tigers, and Eli Drinkwitz is turning to Penn State transfer quarterback Beau Pribula to lead Mizzou to the College Football Playoff. 10 (tied) Auburn Tigers Odds to win National Championship: +6600 Hugh Freeze and the Auburn Tigers are hoping they can rebuild Jackson Arnold's collegiate career after a rough season in Norman. The Tigers have an impressive group of wide receivers, and the defense should be pretty good. 10 (tied) Oklahoma Sooners Odds to win National Championship: +6600 We'll find out a lot about the Oklahoma Sooners when they face Michigan in week two. If John Mateer and the offense are productive, that'll bode well for the rest of the season. 8 (tied). Florida Gators Odds to win National Championship: +4000 The Florida Gators are hoping the production D.J. Lagway gave them in 2024 carries over to 2025. Billy Napier has recruited well. However, like Oklahoma, the Gators have one of the most difficult schedules in America. 8 (tied). South Carolina Gamecocks Odds to win National Championship: +4000 Former three-star quarterback LaNorris Sellers was fantastic in his first year as a starter and gave South Carolina the best argument among the SEC's three-loss teams to make the playoff with a win over Clemson to close the regular season. They'll need players to step up on defense after losing significant difference makers like Kyle Kennard. 6 (tied). Texas A&M Aggies Odds to win National Championship: +3000 Mike Elko made a strong first impression in year one in College Station. Much of their success depends on the development of quarterback Marcel Reed. 6 (tied). Tennessee Volunteers Odds to win National Championship: +3000 Tennessee is hoping Joey Aguilar can keep Tennessee in playoff contention after taking the hard stance of letting Nico Iamaleava walk. 5. Ole Miss Rebels Odds to win National Championship: +2500 Ole Miss is facing a ton of turnover from last year's team that went 9-3, including going from first-round quarterback Jaxson Dart to first-time starter Austin Simmons. 4. LSU Tigers Odds to win National Championship: +2000 The LSU Tigers have one of the more experienced quarterbacks in the country leading the way in Garrett Nussmeier. If the Tigers have improved their defense, they'll be a threat to win it all. 3. Alabama Crimson Tide Odds to win National Championship: +1500 Kalen DeBoer had Washington in the national title game two years ago. Alabama disappointed in year one of the DeBoer era with losses to Vanderbilt and the worst Oklahoma team in over 25 years. Feels a bit rich for a Crimson Tide team relying on a new starting quarterback. 2. Georgia Bulldogs Odds to win National Championship: +650 If there was a team worth betting on in 2025, you can count on Georgia to be one of the contenders in the SEC and in the College Football Playoff. Were Gunnar Stockton a little more experienced, the Bulldogs might have fared better against Notre Dame last season. 1. Texas Longhorns Odds to win National Championship: +500 Everybody's favorite team for 2025, the Texas Longhorns will be a disappointment if they're not at least in the national title game this season. Texas A&M Football: 2025 Aggies Season Preview and Prediction

Texas A&M Football: 2025 Aggies Season Preview and Prediction originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Texas A&M is typically good but not great. They've averaged eight victories since joining the SEC in 2012. Last season, their first under coach Mike Elko, they were 8-5. This year could be better if Reed continues to progress and personnel holes are adequately patched. But major defensive improvement is needed to break out of the eight-win rut. That may be surprising, but the Aggies averaged 29.4 points in SEC play and exceeded 30 points in five of eight conference games. They could be even better in 2025. That will depend largely on sophomore quarterback Marcel Reed, who showed promise in passing for 1,864 yards and rushing for 543 last season. Advertisement Transfer receivers KC Concepcion (NC State) and Mario Craver (Mississippi State) add much-needed speed. The Aggies also welcome the return of All-SEC running back Le'Veon Moss, who rushed for 765 yards despite missing all or most of five games because of injury. A&M's offensive line should be among the best in the conference, maybe even the nation. Tackle Trey Zuhn III has all-conference credentials. Guards Chase Bisontis and Ar'maj Reed-Adams should also contend for postseason accolades. Center Mark Nabou Jr. is back after missing almost all of last season because of a torn ACL. Once a premier defensive coordinator, Elko will resume calling that side of the ball. Still, a lot needs correcting, especially in the pass defense, which ranked 13th in the SEC. Advertisement All-SEC cornerback Will Lee III and nickelback Tyreek Chappell, also back from injury, are dependable. Transfers Jordan Shaw (Washington) and Julian Humphrey (Georgia) could upgrade coverage. The pass rush is also a concern. Defensive end Cashius Howell had four sacks last season. Nobody else on the roster had more than 2.5. Run defense is an issue, too. A&M allowed more runs of at least 20 yards (19) than any other team in the SEC. Linebackers Taurean York and Scooby Williams are solid, but improvement is needed. Aggies coach Mike Elko | Jake Crandall-Imagn Images Previewing Texas A&M's Specialists for 2025 Groza Award semifinalist Randy Bond converted 83.3% of his field-goal attempts (20-of-24) in 2024. He's made 59 field goals in his career and has hit from 55 yards. Punter Tyler White has a big leg but needs to be more consistent. Sophomore Terry Bussey has vast potential on kick returns. Kick coverage must improve.
