24-Acre Minnetonka Complex Put Up for Sale by Boston Scientific (BSX)
Boston Scientific Corporation (NYSE:BSX) is one of the best stocks to buy. On June 10, the company announced that it is selling one suburban Twin Cities property and expanding another, mirroring a pattern of companies centralizing in fewer but more dynamic sites. BSX has placed its 226,000 square foot Minnetonka campus on the market, indicating the wind-down of its presence in that suburb. Meanwhile, it is enlarging its Maple Grove operations with a new 52,000 square foot buildout at its 79-acre Weaver Lake location. That $139.4 million development seems relatively small beside Boston Scientific's second Maple Grove site, which is a $170 million, 400,000 square foot facility where staff are expected to begin moving in before year's end. A surgeon examining a patient's brain in an operating room, paramedics nearby. CBRE's listing describes the Minnetonka property as containing labs, warehousing, and top-tier offices. Though no asking price is listed, county records place the combined 2025 value of four adjacent parcels at $14.8 million. Boston Scientific employed around 10,000 people in Minnesota as of March, including sites in Minnetonka, Maple Grove, and a sizable Arden Hills facility. The number of employees has roughly doubled over 15 years. Despite its Massachusetts roots, the company runs all eight of its divisions in Minnesota, including its flagship cardiology arm. The company did not respond to specific queries about the Minnetonka sale, including the functions housed there or implications for workforce downsizing. The real estate listing indicates the company may lease the site until mid-2026 but plans a complete exit thereafter. Boston Scientific Corporation (NYSE:BSX), a global player in medical device innovation, operates through its Cardiovascular and MedSurg segments to deliver advanced diagnostic and therapeutic technologies. How the attacks in Minnesota unfolded over 90 minutes
June 16 - Within an hour and a half early on Saturday in Minnesota, a Democratic state representative and her husband had been shot dead and another Democratic lawmaker and his wife were gravely wounded by a man who arrived at their homes disguised as a police officer. Vance Boelter, 57, faces state and federal murder charges in the fatal shooting of Melissa Hortman, the top Democrat in the Minnesota House, and her husband, Mark, in their home in New Hope, Minnesota, on Saturday. Boelter is also charged with shooting and wounding another Democratic lawmaker, state Senator John Hoffman, and his wife Yvette, in their home in Maple Grove, Minnesota. The following timeline of movements of the accused early on Saturday is based on a federal affidavit. 2:06 a.m. The Hoffmans' daughter calls 911 to report her parents had been shot. Video footage from their home in New Hope earlier showed a man wearing a black tactical vest and mask that covered his entire head at their door with a flashlight, knocking and shouting "This is the police. Open the door." 2:24 a.m. Video footage from surveillance cameras at the Maple Grove home of an unnamed public official shows a man ringing the doorbell and repeatedly shouting "This is the police. Open the door. This is the police. We have a warrant." No one was home. 2:36 a.m. A police officer conducting a safety check at the home of another public official in New Hope sees a man, now alleged to have been the suspect, sitting in a black SUV down the street. The police officer believed the man was another officer. The man sat staring straight ahead and did not respond when the officer tried to speak with him. 3:30 a.m. Police officers who had by now learned of the shooting of the Hoffmans arrive at the Hortmans' home for a safety check and see a man at the front door. The man fires gunshots as he entered the home and then escapes, leaving a black SUV behind. 6:18 a.m. Boelter sends a group text to his wife and other family members that includes the message: "Dad went to war last night."

3-sport athlete at Maple Grove proves benefits of cross-training heading into 8th state tournament
It's state tournament season right now, and one Maple Grove, Minnesota, track athlete is hoping to lead her relay team to school history in the track and field state tournament. But she's already proven she's a standout, making it to eight state tournaments in three different sports. "The second I stepped on the track, I wanted to keep coming every day," said Abbey Oakland, senior relay distance runner at Maple Grove High School. Running distance is the best fit for Oakland, as it not only feeds her competitive spirit, but it also feeds into her training for the other sports she plays, like soccer. "In the fall [for soccer season], I was always super fit and ready from track, and I just think that helped a lot," said Oakland. Then in the winter, she switches gears again to hockey. "It just makes me excited for each season, and I don't feel any burnout," said Oakland. Being a three-sport athlete is something rare these days, especially for Oakland, who has gone to the Minnesota State High School League state tournament in each of her sports. "It helps me be very versatile," said Oakland. "I just feel like I see the sports from a wider angle." Oakland's distance coach, Hannah Hempe, sees big benefits from that versatility in her athletes. "Running, it can be the same thing over and over. How you approach a race might have some of the same strategies, so she hears so many different strategies both in soccer and hockey about how to approach competition," said Hempe. The Maple Grove Crimson girls relay runners now have their sights set on a first for the school, breaking into the state's top three finishers. "We'll be right in there with them, and I know all the girls in my relay will battle until the end," said Oakland. "I know [her relay teammates] would love to leave Abbey [the only senior] on that note with that top three finish," said Hempe. The track and field state tournament begins Thursday.
