Xavi Questions If He's Really the Bad Guy on New Single ‘El Malo'

Xavi is fine with being el malo — but he knows he probably isn't really the bad guy. On Thursday, the música mexicana star released his solo single, 'El Malo.' 'All my songs come from real life situations, and this one's for anyone who gets called the bad guy just for keeping it real,' Xavi tells Rolling Stone about the song. 'If I'm the bad guy in the story, why do you forget you hate me when you're drunk?' sings Xavi in Spanish. 'You act like you're my girlfriend, and you send me pictures of the Victorias,/And you act like it didn't happen when you're sober.' While this is Xavi's first solo release this year, he also joined Belinda on single 'Mírame Feliz' and he was joined by Neton Vega on 'Hija de Papi' and Manuel Turizo on 'En Privado.' The new singles followed his debut album, titled Next, which dropped last year. 'I was trying to keep it as original as possible. I think all the fusions kept it 100 with the genre. We're not jumping straight to reggaeton or anything like that,' he told Rolling Stone of the record last summer. 'As Mexicans, we want to keep pushing our genre and flag as high as possible. And we want to stay true to the genre and take it as far as possible.' Inside Manuel Turizo's 201 World Tour: ‘We're Going to Create Chaos'

Manuel Turizo officially hits the road on Wednesday (June 11), taking his 201 World Tour to Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. The CMN and La Industria Inc-produced stint is in support of his latest studio album 201, which is an homage to the apartment number where he grew up in Montería, and 'represents all those dreams I had since I was a child, all those young desires,' he previously told Billboard. 'I was thinking about how to connect Manuel Turizo as a performer with where he comes from and where all these inspirations or all these stories a person lives originate,' he tells Billboard in an exclusive interview at his Miami home. 'All of that happens in my house. In [apartment] 201 there were heartbreaks, there were loves, drunken parties with friends, with family—all the stories are there. All the songs are born there, all the ideas are born there. I wanted to tell it in the same way and bring that 201 to the 70 cities where I'm touring.' He reveals that the stage is inspired by his childhood living room back in Colombia: '201 tour is basically Manuel Turizo's apartment that we're going to fill with people and create chaos,' he elaborates. While on tour, the Colombian artist will visit other Latin American countries like Chile, Costa Rica and Argentina, before launching the North American leg of the trek on Aug. 21 in Chicago. After visiting major markets like New York, Miami and Los Angeles along the way, he will return to Latin America to wrap up, with the last date on Dec. 6 in Guatemala. Above, check out our exclusive 'En Conversación,' where Turizo also opens up about his friendship with Shakira, his No. 1 Billboard hit 'En Privado' with Xavi, releasing new music and more. Father's Day 2025: 16 Tender Moments of Latin Artists as Dads

For many artists, there is something even more powerful than filling stadiums, pulling all-nighters in recording studios, topping charts, or receiving awards: being a father. He who lovingly combs his daughter's hair, is excited to know that he will be a father for the first time, shares the stage with his children, or even, inspired by them, completely changes his musical identity. Recently, social media, stages, and backstage have been filled with moments that melt hearts by showing the most human side of artists — from Maluma walking on the beach with his daughter Paris, to Mike Bahía wakesurfing with his little Kai, to Alexander Sánchez — son of Alejandro Sanz — declaring with tenderness that 'he is the best dad in the world' during a Q&A at Billboard Latin Music Week last October and more. We have rounded up 16 memorable scenes, all captured on photos and videos, that show the more family-friendly side of Latin music idols. Moments that remind us that being a father is also an art and, for many of them, the most important act of all. Find out which artist played on one of their daughter's most important days (her wedding), who got their son to record a TikTok dance routine with them and which kid stopped imitating his dad on a toy guitar to finally join his real band. But he not only inspired the idea: At just four years old, Milo became an official part of the band, playing the drums. Through their social media, they share endearing father-son moments playing together. // Ricardo Montaner presents a new version of his iconic song 'Si Tuviera Que Elegir,' this time featuring his daughter Evaluna and son-in-law Camilo.
