Carlos Tevez labelled a t**t by YouTuber left with Soccer Aid injury
Carlos Tevez was happy to wind up the Manchester crowd during Soccer Aid and he did the same to Angry Ginge, who called the Argentinian a 't**t' on social media after the game. The annual charity game was played at Old Trafford on Sunday with a star-studded line-up, but it was Tevez's studs that left an impression on the YouTuber. The former Manchester United and Manchester City striker scored four goals in a 5-4 win for the Rest of the World side over England. The 41-year-old was getting roundly booed at Old Trafford thanks to ditching the Red Devils for City during his playing days. Angry Ginge looked to delight the locals by putting in a heavy challenge on the forward, which he succeeded in doing, but was left with a painful injury himself. Showing off his war wound on Instagram after the match, the YouTuber captioned it: 'Cheers Tevez. Twat.' Tevez's team ended up winning the match but Angry Ginge managed to win Player of the Match for his performance for England. His goalline clearance after Rivaldo lobbed Joe Hart was the highlight of an impressive defensive performance from the streamer. Speaking on Instagram, he said: 'We might not have won, but Man of the Match at Soccer Aid. Mental! It's a Sunday but the postman still delivered, baby!' England had been firmly in control of the game thanks to goals from Wayne Rooney, Toni Duggan and Jermain Defoe putting them 3-0 ahead. Tevez scored twice but then Defoe put England back in command at 4-2 before two more quick goals from the Argentinian. More Trending The game was beautifully poised at 4-4 late on before Big Zuu netted an 84th minute winner past Paddy McGuinness. The rapper posted on X after the amazing moment: 'Never thought I'd be on a scoresheet with Wayne Rooney, Toni Duggan, Jermain Defoe & Carlos Tevez.' He added: 'Liverpool fan scoring the winner at Old Trafford is one I can tell my grandchildren about!!! Also I did the Ronaldo celebration because if you listen closely they are actually saying ZUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUI.' The event raised around £15m for UNICEF. Tears, Joy And More: South African Players React After Winning Historic WTC 2025 Title; Heres What They Said
Lord's witnessed an outpouring of emotion on Saturday as a teary-eyed and jubilant South African cricket team lifted the World Test Championship (WTC) trophy, ending a 27-year drought for a major ICC title. Aiden Markram's magnificent century and Temba Bavuma's composed half-century were the cornerstones of this historic five-wicket victory over Australia at Lord's Cricket ground. SA defeated Australia by 5 wickets as Aiden was awarded Man of the match for this game. This is the first time Australia lost a final in this decade. The Proteas, having previously secured the ICC KnockOut Trophy (now Champions Trophy) in 1998, etched their name in WTC history as the third WTC champions, following New Zealand (2021) and Australia (2023). This triumph was particularly sweet for South Africa, coming on the heels of their runners-up finish to India in last year's T20 World Cup. The win was palpable among the South African players as they shared their immediate reactions with broadcasters. Ryan Rickelton, reflecting on the chase, said, "Walking out in the fourth innings was always going to be tricky. The wicket trying to look a little better. The guys batted brilliantly. Aiden's was one of the best innings I have ever seen. The magnitude of the occasion against such an experienced attack was special. [Talk in the morning] I was out but I was pretty calm. The group was pretty confident. We wanted to absorb the pressure early and then take it forward. There were a few nerves." Kagiso Rabada who took 9 wickets in the match playing a key role expressed his overwhelming joy: "Can't describe in words how I feel. Extremely happy, we've planned well and worked hard. We deserve to be here. People said we haven't faced strong opposition, which is rubbish. We beat Australia this time, and had to be on our A game. Thanks to everyone for the support, the last four days felt like a home game." A tearful Keshav Maharaj spoke from the heart: "It's special, it's an honour to lift the cup for everyone out here and back home. It's what the country's about, the unity among everyone in the last five days. We're very grateful, as a team, as a nation, as a proud country. I think the emotions would've spurred me into the right direction had I got into bat. (Message to fans back home) Thanks to everyone who's been supporting us, through adversity we've stood strong. We honour those who've come before us, may this be a stepping stone for greater things to come." Lungi Ngidi, still processing the moment, said, "I am speechless right now. The other evening with that spell was about to break the game opening. The excitement kept me going. I can't say much now. I am very proud of what the boys have achieved. It's been a lot of emotions and the blood pressure is quite high." Marco Jansen, who looked joyous, shared, "Don't know what to say, was sitting there praying, luckily we got the job done. Lot of nerves in the changeroom, a lot of guys quiet, but to have the crowd cheering every single run, I can't ask for more. Markram un-freakin- believable, he and Temba took us home. Stuff dreams are made of." David Bedingham, relieved, remarked, "Amazing. Very nervous, but the way Aiden and Temba went about it made us calm. Thank goodness we got over the line. The sun plays a massive factor, we got luckier of the conditions. It's been 27 years and I am so thankful we got over the line." Kyle Verreynne, the man who hit the winning runs, admitted, "I am just relieved. I was watching in the morning and kept thinking I don't want to bat, I don't want to bat. When I walked in the middle, I was the most nervous I have ever been. [Win] Means a lot. You can listen to the whole ground singing. Probably getting a little emotional now. It's incredible." This WTC victory is more than just a trophy; it's a testament to the resilience, skill, and unwavering spirit of the South African team. It marks a new chapter in their cricketing history, offering a powerful message of hope and inspiration to a nation that has waited patiently for this moment. This triumph, built on individual brilliance and collective determination, promises a bright future for Proteas cricket. Chasing a challenging 282 for victory in the fourth innings, South Africa found themselves in a precarious position after losing early wickets. However, the 147-run partnership between captain Temba Bavuma and Aiden Markram for the third wicket proved to be the turning point, decisively shifting the momentum away from Pat Cummins' Australian side.

Crystal Palace stun Manchester City 1-0 to lift 1st FA Cup title at Wembley
In a stunning turn of events at the 2025 FA Cup final, Crystal Palace secured their first-ever major trophy by defeating Manchester City 1-0 at Wembley Stadium. Eberechi Eze's 16th-minute goal, a well-timed volley from Daniel Muñoz's cross, proved to be the match-winner, marking a historic achievement for the club . Despite managing only 22% possession, Palace showcased resilience and tactical discipline. Goalkeeper Dean Henderson was instrumental, saving a first-half penalty from Omar Marmoush and making crucial stops throughout the match. His performance earned him the Man of the Match award and was pivotal in keeping City's prolific attack at bay. This victory not only grants Crystal Palace their inaugural FA Cup title but also secures their qualification for the 2025–26 UEFA Europa League group stage, marking their first entry into European competition. Additionally, they will face Premier League champions Liverpool in the 2025 FA Community Shield. For Manchester City, the defeat signifies a season without silverware, a rare occurrence under Pep Guardiola's tenure. The loss also jeopardizes their Champions League aspirations, depending on the outcomes of their remaining league fixtures. Crystal Palace's triumph joins the ranks of memorable FA Cup upsets, such as Wigan Athletic's 2013 victory over Manchester City and Wimbledon's 1988 win against Liverpool, solidifying their place in FA Cup folklore.

Adolescence star Ashley Waters on 'finding peace' riding electric motorbike
"Pretty much everything I do is about trying to find peace," the TV star says Ashley Walters might be known for playing intense roles in high-octane dramas like Netflix's Top Boy and Adolescence, but off set, he looks for a life of peace and tranquillity. For Walters, 42, this looks like a long ride on his silent electric motorcycle, losing himself in the moment as he twists and turns down winding roads. His choice of ride - made by Maeving, a British electric motorbike manufacturer based in Coventry - is perfect for those who love the thrill of a fast ride without the fumes and noise that come along with traditional motorcycles. 'I'm riding for peace in the moment,' says the actor, who has also topped the charts with So Solid Crew and been named GQ's Man of the Year. 'Pretty much everything I do is about trying to find peace.' Walters says that he chooses to ride a Maeving motorbike for the same reason he acts: to lose himself. The actor might have been born in Peckham in South London, but he's drawn to the kind of silence and calm you can only get outside of the urban bustle. 'When I'm not working, I don't really want to be around people,' he smiles, speaking from a café in Herne Bay where he's filming a new short made with Maeving. 'I just get on the bike and ride. I don't know where I'm going, I don't know what I'm doing. I just ride and get myself back to where I need to be.' Walters' ride of choice is Maeving's RM1S: an electric motorcycle with no gears, no noise, and no emissions, making it a smooth, clean ride that's as kind on the environment as it is on Walters' mental state. "It reminds me of skydiving. After free-falling when the parachute opens—it's just quiet, it's just you, and you really feel like you're flying," he says. The RM1S model starts at £7,495, has a range of 80 miles on a single charge, and can reach up to 70mph. The bike comes with a 2-year warranty and 14-day money back guarantee. Maeving's motorbikes show how petrolheads can get all of the thrills of hitting the road while enjoying the benefits of zero-emission transport. In cities, an electric motorbike is a convenient and fun way to get around, and there's real joy to be had in letting them rip in the countryside, too. There are two different electric bikes available from Maeving currently: the RM1S, which Walters rides, and the RM1 which starts from £4,995. Both have a removable battery that riders can charge from any normal three-pin socket, and are stylish and functional with a vintage feel combined with modern eco-friendly technology. Electric vehicles as a whole are becoming much more popular in the UK, with charging points more readily available and clean air initiatives like London's ULEZ encouraging drivers and riders to go green. Bikers don't need to miss out on the green revolution, as there are plenty of brands offering electric motorbikes. Fans of the iconic Harley Davidson could invest in one of the brand's Livewire Electric Motorcycles, such as the thrilling S2 Alpinista which starts at £17,390. This ride packs a punch, going from 0-60mph in three seconds, and looks just as cool as Harley's petrol counterparts. Kawasaki, another notable motorcycle brand, also has eco offerings such as the Kawasaki Ninja e-1. Coming in a cool lime green and silver colour combination, this £4,299 zero-emission motorbike is lightweight, has removable batteries, and and boasts an e-boost function where riders can access increased power - and a higher top speed - for 15 seconds. Maeving customers have shared their views on the innovative motorcycles on Trustpilot, as one rider said: "I have a 32-mile commute to work, and it's a joy to ride this bike. I never write reviews, (but) I needed to do this as found everything faultless, it's just pleasant to have such good customer service," they added. Another biker said of the RMS1 model: "The bike seems good quality so far. The ride and seat are less comfortable than my mountain bike but, to be fair, the RMS1 goes a lot faster uphill. I suspect it will last well but obviously too early to tell." However, they did note an issue with speed: "The speedometer is optimistic, to say the least. The highest speed setting ('S') will get you to around 60mph consistently, maybe even 65 if the conditions are good, but it drains the battery a lot faster than the lower settings."
