Kate Upton welcomes second child with husband Justin Verlander ; A loving journey into parenthood
Kate Upton and Justin Verlander Kate Upton and Justin Verlander are now officially a family of four. The supermodel and San Francisco Giants pitcher welcomed their second child, a baby boy called Bellamy Brooks Verlander, on June 19, as reported by PEOPLE . The development signals a happy new turn for the couple who have never been ones to seek out publicity where their family is concerned. Kate Upton and Justin Verlander's relationship Kate Upton and Justin Verlander's romance began in 2012, and then, they married in 2017, just days after the World Series victory of Verlander with the Houston Astros. His baseball career since then has been in Houston, the New York Mets, and now the San Francisco Giants, where he signed a contract in January 2024 for one year. Kate Upton speaks out about motherhood In several interviews, Upton has openly discussed how motherhood has changed her, particularly when it comes to having a daughter (Vivi) in today's society. In an interview with Extra TV, she described how becoming a mom makes her even more aware of the things that young girls are taught by society. "It makes you want to lead by example," she stated. Kate also disclosed that Vivi is a free spirit who enjoys dancing and living in the moment, and the qualities she insists come from her side of the family. From the red carpet to family life While the couple tends to be low-key, they did give their fans a glimpse of how their family operates when they showed up at the 2022 MLB All-Star Game red carpet by getting dressed in coordinating yellow. The appearance was special for Verlander, who said it was his most significant All-Star game appearance so far because he got to experience it with his wife and daughter. With baby Bellamy now along for the ride, it's easy to see that for this celebrity pair, family isn't a chapter in their book, but it's the title page that appears to be most important.

For the AL, that's expected to be Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge, currently at 1,568,527 votes. Additionally, the top two vote-getters at each position, plus the top six outfielders, advance to the second round of voting. In Phase 2, all vote totals reset, and fans select the remaining starters from the smaller pool of players who advanced to the second round. The winners of these vote will be announced July 2. Pitchers — including reigning AL Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal, an All-Star last season — and reserves are selected through a combination of player voting and choices made by the commissioner's office.
