Lottie Tomlinson shares health update after being rushed to hospital for emergency surgery in Abu Dhabi
Lottie Tomlinson has shared a health update after she revealed that she was rushed to hospital in Abu Dhabi for emergency surgery. The influencer, 26, who is one of One Direction star Louis Tomlinson 's sisters, had flown to the country with her fiance Lewis Burton and their children. But Lottie said she started to feel unwell on the plane there, with stomach pains getting worse before she eventually vomited. After landing in Au Dhabi, Lottie went to see a doctor and was put on a drip - but when it didn't help the pain she was sent to hospital where it was discovered she had appendicitis. Lottie was then rushed for emergency surgery to have her appendix removed and shared a clip explaining the scare from her hospital bed on Instagram on Thursday as she recovered. And in the latest update, Lottie took to her Instagram Stories on Thursday evening and revealed that she has been discharged from the hospital. Posting a photo from the back of a cab while holding hands with partner Lewis, she wrote: 'Out of hospital and on the way to the hotel to rest. Thank you all so much for the kind messages.' She later shared a heartwarming image of Lewis with their two children in the pool, adding: 'Back where I belong. You make everything better.' Just the day earlier, Lottie informed her follower that she 'didn't expect to start our trip like this.' 'So I didn't expect to start our trip like this but I'm just grateful that I'm recovering now,' she began. 'I felt quite ill on the way here, on the plane, really bad stomach pains. 'Then I started throwing up when I got here and long story short I went to the doctor and they put me on a drip - but it wasn't helping with the pain, the stomach pains. 'So they sent me to hospital where they discovered that I had appendicitis so I needed surgery straight away, so last night I had surgery to remove my appendix and it all went well, so I'm just now recovering. 'But I'm so grateful to all the nurses and doctors that have looked after me and I'm hoping that I can make a quick recovery.' She captioned the clip: 'Thank you to all the lovely doctors and nurses here in Abu Dhabi.' Lottie also shared a snap of Lewis sitting by her ward with their two-year-old son Lucky as they kept her company. The couple also welcomed their second child, a daughter called Flossie, in January. 'Hopefully I can make a speedy recovery and enjoy our last few days here,' she captioned the snap of Lewis and Lucky. It comes after last month Lottie admitted her cosmetic procedures became a 'never-ending cycle' as she candidly opened up about using filler and having beauty treatments. The influencer has had her lip and cheek filler dissolved and previously said she noticed the cosmetic procedures had 'got out of control'. But in May Lottie revealed that she first turned to cosmetic treatments after 'losing her confidence' after her mum Johannah Deakin's death in 2016 at the age of 43. She said she believes her mum 'sugarcoated' her diagnosis and she never realised 'how bad' she was until near the end. The influencer has had her lip and cheek filler dissolved and previously said she noticed the cosmetic procedures had 'got out of control'; pictured 2021 Speaking to Giovanna Fletcher on her Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast, she revealed that becoming a mother herself has changed the way she views herself and given her her confidence back. Lottie said: 'I felt like it was making me happy, you know? Losing the weight and feeling slimmer definitely made me feel better in myself. 'But in terms of the fillers and the beauty treatments, it was just a never-ending thing of trying to catch up with yourself. 'And, like, when you lose someone as close as your mum, it affects your confidence a lot. 'That's something I never expected, because if you think about it, your mum is the one person that cheers you on, that loves you unconditionally, that's there to give you that, you know, reassurance and support. 'So when you lose that, you kind of lose that, you know, confidence in yourself. 'So I think I was constantly chasing, trying to find that confidence, thinking I would find it in these, you know, fillers and how I looked.'

Lottie Tomlinson rushed to hospital in Abu Dhabi for emergency surgery after falling ill on flight
Lottie Tomlinson said she is so 'grateful' for the doctors who acted quickly Lottie Tomlinson has been rushed to hospital in Abu Dhabi for emergency surgery after falling seriously ill on a flight. The 26-year-old influencer told fans on Thursday she had to have an operation to remove her appendix after suffering from agonising stomach pains on the plane. Lottie, who is the younger sister of One Direction Louis Tomlinson, had been travelling to the popular holiday destination with fiance Lewis Burton and their two children when her traumatic ordeal began. Recounting what had happened from her hospital bed on Thursday to her 4.8M Instagram followers, Lottie said: "I felt quite ill on the way here on the plane with really bad stomach pains and then I started throwing up when I got here. "And long story short, I went to the doctor and they put me on a drip, but it wasn't helping with the pain, the stomach pains. They sent me to hospital when they discovered that I had an appendicitis. "I needed surgery straight away. So, last night I had surgery to remove my appendix and it all went well." Lottie reassured followers she's now in recovery as she added: "I'm just now recovering. "But I'm so grateful to all the nurses and the doctors that have looked after me and I'm hoping that I can make a quick recovery." Taking a snap of Lewis and their son two-year-old son Lucky at the side of her hospital bed earlier on Thursday, she wrote: "Hopefully I can make a speedy recovery and enjoy our last few days here." The star then confirmed in a later post that she has now been released from hospital and was headed to rest at her hotel. She also thanked fans for all of their well wishes and support. Lottie welcomed her second child, Flossie, with former tennis star Lewis in January this year. The mum of two recently opened up about her decision to dissolve her facial fillers after becoming a parent. The content creator admitted she struggled with her appearance whilst pregnant and was so "tied up" in how she looked which she confessed meant "everything" to her at the time. Recalling how her fillers affected her pregnancy in her memoir Lucky Girl, Lottie wrote: "The massive weight gain in combination with all the fillers I'd had before getting pregnant made me feel really insecure. "The fillers in my lips and cheeks made me look silly as my face blew up and it was then that I realised the beauty treatments had got a bit out of control. After having Lucky I got rid of them all." However, after her pregnancy she found herself on a "journey of self-acceptance" and thought about her son experiencing the same insecure feelings in the future which she said "upset" her to imagine. She added that it resulted in her "questioning" why she had "these feelings in the first place," coming to the conclusion that a lot of it was down to the nature of her career and social media. However, after becoming a parent, Lottie said that she could "see beyond that" for the first time and is trying hard to embrace her natural appearance more as that is the features her children will be inheriting.

Lottie Tomlinson says never-ending confidence battle after losing mum led her to excessive fillers until face ‘blew up'
LOTTIE Tomlinson has candidly opened up on her 'never-ending' confidence battle after losing her mother. After having her first child, the 26-year-old influencer noticed her cosmetic procedures had 'got out of control' and has since had her lip and cheek filler dissolved. 12 12 12 Now, the mum-of-two has explained that she first turned to cosmetic treatments after "losing her confidence' after her mum Johannah Deakin's death in 2016. The sister of One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson believes her mum, who died at the age of 43, 'sugarcoated' her diagnosis and never realised 'how bad' she was until near the end. Revealing all to Giovanna Fletcher on a recent episode of the Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast, Lottie acknowledged that becoming a mother herself has since changed the way she views herself and has given her confidence back. Reflecting on the past, when she would restrict herself in a bid to be slimmer, Lottie said: 'I felt like it was making me happy. " Losing the weight and feeling slimmer definitely made me feel better in myself. 'But in terms of the fillers and the beauty treatments, it was just a never-ending thing of trying to catch up with yourself. 'And, like, when you lose someone as close as your mum, it affects your confidence a lot. 'That's something I never expected, because if you think about it, your mum is the one person that cheers you on, that loves you unconditionally, that's there to give you that reassurance and support. 'So when you lose that, you kind of lose that confidence in yourself. 'So I think I was constantly chasing, trying to find that confidence, thinking I would find it in these fillers and how I looked.' Johannah had seven children - Louis, now 31, Lottie, 26, Félicité, who died at the age of 18, twins Phoebe and Daisy, 21, and twins Ernest and Doris, 11. How Lottie Tomlinson went from nepo-sibling to 'stealth entrepreneur' and why her siblings stay so private Johannah's death prompted Lottie to move home to Doncaster to look after her younger siblings with her grandparents. Not only was Lottie battling the loss of her mother at the time, but just three years after Johannah's death, Lottie's sister Félicité Tomlinson lost her life following an accidental overdose, after she took a fatal concoction of anti-anxiety medication, cocaine and painkillers. Before the double tragedy, Lottie was working as a make-up artist alongside her friend Lou Teasdale, and by 2015 she was on tour with her brother Louis' band One Direction. 12 12 12 Seven years after her mother's death, Lottie gave birth to her first child, a boy named Lucky, two. Then, in January 2025, Lottie, who has been described as a "stealth entrepreneur", welcomed her second child, a now four-month-old daughter named Flossie. Lottie shares both children with fiancé Lewis Burton, 33, whom she officially began dating back in August 2020 after meeting at a house party in May that year. Discussing her pregnancy with Lucky, Lottie shared: "I was gaining a lot of weight... When I did have him, I was left four stone up. I was constantly chasing, trying to find that confidence, thinking I would find it in these fillers and how I looked Lottie Tomlinson "My face was all swollen more because I had all the filler. That's why I wanted to remove it once I did have him. "Towards the end of the pregnancy, with the weight gain and the swelling, my face and my lips, everything had just blown up. "I was like, 'I can't look like this'. And obviously, when you have a baby, your priorities change." Lottie also continued: 'But I think what's genuinely given me my confidence is having my kids, because you just realise that it's not important.' Despite this, she claimed: 'I still like to look nice, I still like to get my hair done, but it's not as important to me as it once was. "I'm so comfortable now to just be in no make-up, have my hair up." Lottie's mother Johannah died from leukaemia after she was diagnosed in 2016 when Lottie was just 18 years old. Lottie Tomlinson career timeline 2015: Lottie worked as a stylist and make-up artist for her older brother Louis and his band One Direction during their On The Road Again Tour. 2016: Lottie became an ambassador for Nails Inc. and debuted a collaborative collection with the beauty brand. She also became the face of fashion brand Lipsy London. Lottie also worked as a make-up artist at London Fashion Week. 2017: She released her first book Rainbow Roots: #MAKEUPBYME, which featured 40 beauty tutorials. 2018: Along with Lou Teasdale, Lottie founded and launched the fake tan company Tanologist. 2019: Tanologist was launched in the US, appearing in stores such as Ulta and Target. 2020: Lottie became a brand ambassador for Sue Ryder's bereavement support services. She also began working with fashion brands Pretty Little Thing and Asos. 2022: Lottie featured in marketing campaigns for Boux Avenue. 2024: Lottie launched her exercise and well-being app Verdure, which includes fitness and diet plans for users to follow at their own pace. She also released her second book Lucky Girl: Family, Falling and Finding My Way. Lottie claimed her mum hid how ill she was to 'protect' her children and when she did die, it was a complete 'shock' to the family. She added: 'Looking back, she probably sugarcoated the situation because she wanted to protect us, which I understand. 'But then, when it came down to it, the last few weeks, that's kind of the only time we kind of started to realise that she wasn't going to be okay. Towards the end of the pregnancy, with the weight gain and the swelling, my face and my lips, everything had just blown up Lottie Tomlinson 'And so to lose her... it felt sudden. We had so much hope that she was going to be okay. And I think you've got to hold on to hope when someone's ill. 'And she was so strong, she didn't want anyone to know she was ill. She said she was going to fight it, and it was going to be okay. 'And so we'd take her word for that. And she'd always been right about things. 12 12 12 'So yeah, to lose her that suddenly was such a shock. And it's like the centre of everything is gone. 'It's like everything else falls apart and I feel like we've spent the last few years since it all happened, just trying to rebuild that. 'And it's not been easy, but we've just stuck together as a family, and we've tried to look after each other. 'I think we're getting there. We're rebuilding everything. And it's just sad that she's not here with us.'
