Pictured: Liam and Noel Gallagher together for first time since Oasis tour announcement
Liam and Noel Gallagher have been photographed together for the first time since the Oasis reunion tour was announced. The Britpop band, who split in 2009 following a backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine festival, confirmed their long-awaited reunion in August 2024. They have since been photographed together to launch a new partnership with Adidas ahead of their Oasis Live '25 world tour. The Manchester-born musicians rose to fame after the release of their debut album Definitely Maybe in 1994, with their hits songs including Champagne Supernova, Wonderwall and Supersonic. While in the group, they became known for their recognisable sportswear style which consisted of tracksuits, sleeve jerseys, bucket hats and coach jackets. The pair are now the faces behind the Original Forever film campaign, which is soundtracked by their hit song Live Forever, and includes an accompanying Adidas Originals x Oasis Live '25 apparel collection. The brothers had been known to get into arguments over the years, but things reached breaking point at a French festival when Liam began swinging around a guitar. Noel quit the rock group on August 28 2009, saying he 'simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer'. The highly anticipated reunion tour announcement was followed with some ticketing backlash after fans in the UK and Ireland saw some prices more than double, from £148 to £355, which was blamed on 'unprecedented demand'. The outrage and controversy prompted the Government and the UK's competition watchdog to pledge they would look at the use of dynamic pricing. Oasis are due to kickstart their world tour in July with performances in Cardiff followed by Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin. The group will continue on with concerts scheduled around the world including Canada, the US, Mexico, Australia and Japan.

Liam and Noel Gallagher pictured together for first time since Oasis reunion new
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Noel and Liam Gallagher have posed for their second public snap together in 15 years, since Oasis' sudden 2009 split and almighty fall out. In August the bickering brothers announced a huge reunion tour, posing for a black and white picture together to celebrate the momentous occasion. The brothers have now publicly joined forces for the second time to promote their Adidas partnership, marking the first time Liam, 52, and Noel, 58, have been photographed together since the Oasis comeback news. The new image, posted on Adidas' social media on Thursday, showed the pair dressed in the fresh designs branded with 'Oasis', and was captioned: 'The band with three stripes.' Fittingly, the advert for the collaboration features historic clips from Knebworth to Heaton Park, and Wembley to Rio, emotionally soundtracked by Oasis' 1994 hit Live Forever. The clip comes to a crescendo of Liam and Noel posing moodily side-by-side – not hugging just yet – as they stare into the camera wearing their Adidas gear, seemingly gearing up for the stage. Oasis and Adidas are also teaming up for an Oasis Live '25 apparel collection, which sees their classic 90s looks modernised. Just a month short of 16 years since Noel announced he could no longer work with his brother Liam, the Britpop legends will be taking to the stage once more on July 5. They are performing in Cardiff, before heading to their native Manchester for a five-night run, and London's Wembley Stadium at the end of the month. Edinburgh and Dublin dates are set for August, before Noel and Liam head over to kick off the North America leg of their tour. Fear not though: the brothers will (hopefully) be back, getting on like a champagne supernova in the sky (fingers crossed), to perform two more Wembley shows in September. The Adidas campaign comes after Edinburgh City Council expressed concern about Oasis' gigs in Murrayfield Stadium. The dates come in the middle of the famed Edinburgh Fringe Festival, which takes over the city for the month of August. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video In the official papers, the council called Oasis fans mainly 'middle-aged men' who 'take up more room', as reported by The Sun. They also expressed concerns about the amount they might drink, explaining they expect 'medium to high intoxication' and a 'substantial amount of older fans' amongst the 210,000 punters on August 8, 9 and 12. Not one to ever hold back, Liam shared his thoughts… More Trending 'To the Edinburgh council I've heard what you said about OASIS fans and quite frankly your attitude f***ing stinks I'd leave town that day if I was any of you lot,' he said, adding: 'I'd love to see a picture of all the people on the Edinburgh council bet there's some real STUNING individuals.' In an update about the Oasis Live shows, a source who was at one of the band's rehearsals told The Sun: 'Oasis have never sounded better. They were playing Cigarettes & Alcohol and Liam's vocals sounded really good. '[Liam's impressive vocals] were probably down to the two packets of Lockets cough sweets that he was sucking throughout the rehearsal.' The source added: 'You could hear Noel's lead guitar really well and he sounded so good too. To hear them playing live, and playing so loudly, was an incredible moment.' Got a story? Oasis brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher are pictured together for the FIRST TIME since announcing their reunion tour as they recreate their 90s heyday in new Adidas campaign
Oasis brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher have been pictured together for the first time since their reunion tour was announced last year. But rather than being hard at work in rehearsals ahead of their first show on July 4, the brothers have recreated the look that helped solidify the Britpop movement, with a new campaign for sporting brand Adidas. A brand new image, posted on Adidas' social media on Thursday, showed the duo dressed in specially designed pieces boasting their band's name, and was captioned: 'The band with three stripes.' In a promotional video that was broadcast on Channel 4, the 1994 Oasis anthem Live Forever can be heard, and there are scenes reminiscent of the band's early gigs, with fans dressed in new Adidas pieces boasting the band's famous logo. A tamborine can be heard hitting ice, and Liam's voice says: 'There are days when you are in the zone, you know what I mean? 'You just stand perfectly still while there's all this chaos going on around you. Not feeling the need to join in the madness, just thinking, this is the best feeling in the world. Just absolutely still.' The pair are no strangers to working with the sports brand, with their appearance helping to synonimise the Britpop phenomenon Viewers then see Liam and Noel heading to the stage to play a gig, and the final shot of the ad features the pair reunited and posing together. Prior to this campaign, the only images of Liam and Noel had been in a promotional shoot to announce the Oasis tour, sending die-hard fans of the pair into meltdown. This may be no surprise to some, as insiders previously told the Mail that while Liam, 52, and Noel, 57, publicly buried the hatchet on their 15-year feud last year, they are still spending no time in each other's company. It was previously reported in April that Liam and Noel landed a 'multi-million-pound deal' with Adidas, having both previously released collections with the brand. The Oasis Live 25 tour kicks off on 4 July at Cardiff's Principality Stadium before playing sell-out gigs at Manchester's Heaton Park, Wembley Stadium in London, and Edinburgh's Murrayfield stadium. The pair will then embark on a global tour taking in shows in Japan, Argentina, the United States and Brazil. Oasis fans had feared they would never see the two brothers in the same room again, after they spectacularly fell out following a backstage fight in Paris in 2009. Noel said at the time: 'I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.' However, last August, Liam and Noel reconciled and announced Oasis were reforming for a string of stadium dates in 2025 which will net the brothers an estimated £100m payday. It will be a much needed boost to Noel's bank balance, after his expensive £20m divorce settlement to ex-wife Sara MacDonald in 2023. In a statement announcing the tour, Oasis said: 'The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.' But when tickets went on sale the tour was slammed for using 'dynamic pricing' when tickets went on sale for hundreds of pounds last August. Fans were furious after waiting up to 15 hours to get to the front of online queues. Ticketmaster's pricing method was described as 'scandalous' after tickets for the original dates shot up from £148 to £355. Last month, it was reported that the pair had met for conciliatory talks about the tour, but these were vehemently denied by Liam who denounced it on social media as 'fake news'. There have also been concerns over the behaviour of Oasis fans at the upcoming shows, with followers of the band reportedly branded 'fat, drunk and rowdy, by council bosses in a secret safety briefing. Sources claim Edinburgh council officials said fans at the Murrayfield August gigs will be 'mainly middle-aged men who take up more room'. According to The Sun, leaked papers have revealed the councils' fears that acts will pull out of Edinburgh Festival Fringe due to possible clashes with 'rowdy' punters heading to Oasis show nearby. The secret planning briefings reportedly warn: 'Concerned about the safety of the Fringe and its performers. Many performers are considering not attending for that weekend. 'There is concern about crowds as they are already rowdy and the tone of the band. Middle-aged men take up more room. Consider this when working out occupancy.' As per the publication, one die-hard Oasis fan blasted the 'sneering' comments. David Walker, 44, of the Oasis Collectors Group reportedly said: 'To call fans drunk, middle-aged, and fat is a nasty, sneering stereotype — it's a jaundiced view. 'People want to have a great time. If reports of councillors' drunken parties are anything to go by, they'd be better keeping their opinions to themselves. 'The fanbase has changed a lot - there's a new generation of young fans for a start, and parents are wanting to introduce their kids to Oasis for the first time.'
