What's Your Favorite New Music Release This Week? Vote!

We're nearly halfway through the month of June, and stars like j-hope & GloRilla, Lil Tecca and Gunna marked Friday (June 13) by dropping new collabs, albums and singles galore. The BTS member and the Memphis MC teamed up for 'Killin' It Girl,' a tinkling hip-hop groove that captures the seductive magnetism of lust at first sight. (Playing the irresistible baddie in question, GloRilla brags, 'He said I be killin' it, I said I do this everyday.') Elsewhere, Mark Ronson added to his legacy of powerhouse collaborations with female vocalists like Amy Winehouse, Miley Cyrus and Lykki Li by enlisting RAYE for the sparkling, flirty pop-soul fusion of new single 'Suzanne,' and Brandon Lake makes a praiseworthy bid to be the mainstream face of contemporary Christian music with fifth album King of Hearts, which serves as the full-length follow-up to 'Hard Fought Hallelujah,' his 2024 crossover hit with Jelly Roll. Finally, the title track to Zara Larsson's own upcoming fifth album, Midnight Sun, is Billboard's Editor's Pick of the week with its smitten montage of perfectly curated playlists, fast drives and the all-encompassing infatuation of new love. Fans Choose j-hope & GloRilla's ‘Killin It Girl' as This Week's Favorite New Music

J-hope and GloRilla's 'Killin It Girl' tops this week's new music poll. In a poll published Friday (June 13) on Billboard, music fans chose the collaboration between the BTS member and the Memphis MC as their favorite new release of the past week. More from Billboard Friday Music Guide: New Music From J-Hope & GloRilla, Lil Tecca, Gunna and More Billy Ray Cyrus Shares Throwback Family Photos for Father's Day Morgan Wallen's 'I'm the Problem' Spends First Month at No. 1 on Billboard 200 'Killin It Girl' brought in 87% of the vote, beating out new releases from artists like Lil Tecca (Dopamine), Mark Ronson and RAYE ('Suzanne'), Zara Larsson ('Midnight Sun'), Brandon Lake (King of Hearts) and Gunna ('Won't Stop'). 'Killin It Girl' features an entrancing hip-hop flow that conveys the enchanting pull of love at first sight, with GloRilla taking on the persona of the irresistible baddie. 'He said I be killin' it, I said I do this everyday,' Big Glo brags on the lust-filled track. This new single follows a busy year for the K-pop star, who also released hits like 'Sweet Dreams' with Miguel and 'Mona Lisa.' ''Sweet Dreams' featuring Miguel — an artist I've long respected — has a smooth, soulful vibe that feels deeply personal. On the other hand, 'Mona Lisa' brings a hip-hop-driven performance energy,' j-hope told Billboard in May. He added, 'Both tracks are easy to connect with, yet they offer a glimpse into the broader, more evolved musical world I'm building. This is just the start — I have plenty more musical experiments in store.' The BTS member toured across North America as part of his HOPE ON THE STAGE tour, including a pair of sold-out concerts at Brooklyn's Barclays Center in March. He concluded the global trek on Friday (June 13), with a performance at South Korea's Goyang Stadium. The 'other' category placed second in the poll with 10% of the vote, while Lil Tecca's fifth album, Dopamine, came in third, earning nearly 1%.' Friday Music Guide: New Music From J-Hope & GloRilla, Lil Tecca, Gunna and More

Billboard's Friday Music Guide serves as a handy guide to this Friday's most essential releases — the key music that everyone will be talking about today, and that will be dominating playlists this weekend and beyond. This week, J-Hope kills it with GloRilla, Lil Tecca extends his viral success and Gunna makes a dramatic return. Check out all of this week's picks below: More from Billboard Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Head to Florida for Stanley Cup Final Twenty One Pilots Drop New Single, 'The Contract,' Detail North American Tour Dates j-hope Heads to Memphis to Recruit GloRilla for 'Killin' It Girl' Single: Listen j-hope feat. GloRilla, 'Killin It Girl' As the BTS members complete their mandated military services and their millions of fans wonder what will come next for the globe-conquering group, j-hope is enjoying a nice little run of solo singles right now: following 'Sweet Dreams' with Miguel and 'Mona Lisa,' 'Killin' It Girl' takes a time machine back to early 2000's hip-hop percussion, with j-hope flexing over the beat and GloRilla crashing the party midway through. Lil Tecca, Lil Tecca's Dopamine kicks off with 'Dark Thoughts' and 'OWA OWA,' a pair of sample-heavy singles that have recently gone viral and reinvigorated the New York rapper's commercial prospects — yet his fifth album sounds more self-assured than his previous output, with Tecca using his recent success as a springboard to refine his aesthetic instead of freezing in the face of expectation. Gunna, 'Won't Stop' An artist as prolific as Gunna typically doesn't wait until June for his first release of a calendar year, but 'Won't Stop' follows up last year's One of Wun with three minutes of calm determination, as if the rapper had been waiting for the right moment to once again strike; the single artwork depicts an ancient, decaying clock, a nod to how long Gunna believes his reign will last. Mark Ronson & RAYE, 'Suzanne' From Amy Winehouse to Miley Cyrus to Lykke Li, Mark Ronson has always excelled when presenting a magnetic female singer with a rich sonic tapestry, and 'Suzanne,' his new single with 'Escapism' star RAYE, provides her soaring voice with big-band opulence, creating a throwback soul-pop track that still sounds like it could very well crack pop radio rotations today. Brandon Lake, Is Brandon Lake ready to be the mainstream face of contemporary Christian music? After 'Hard Fought Hallelujah,' his absorbing team-up with Jelly Roll, cracked the Hot 100 chart, new album King of Hearts has primed the gruff-voiced, deeply passionate singer-songwriter for a much wider audience, with further collaborations on the full-length still allowing his solo spirit to make a lasting impression. Editor's Pick: Zara Larsson, 'Midnight Sun' Although Zara Larsson has enjoyed a winding career over the past decade, her finest moment remains her hit MNEK collaboration 'Never Forget You' — and fortunately, her upcoming album Midnight Sun, including the quiet-storm title track, was created alongside MNEK, as the studio polymath once again provokes the most immediate hooks out of the Swedish pop star. Best of Billboard Chart Rewind: In 1989, New Kids on the Block Were 'Hangin' Tough' at No. 1 Janet Jackson's Biggest Billboard Hot 100 Hits H.E.R. & Chris Brown 'Come Through' to No. 1 on Adult R&B Airplay Chart

Justin Bieber sparks concern with online rant as fans urge troubled star to 'take a social media break'

Justin Bieber sparked concern after going on an impromptu Instagram rant on Tuesday. The 31-year-old pop star took to Instagram in a bizarre post to share his thoughts about telling other people what they do or do not 'deserve.' 'Telling other humans they deserve something is like raising someone else's kids,' he wrote in his latest post. 'Who are you to tell someone what someone should or shouldn't have?' He balked at 'the audacity' and slammed his fans' unsolicited opinions: 'That's not your place. God decides what we deserve.' In response to his post, fans flooded his comments section with messages voicing concern, calling out his 'hypocrisy' and urging him to 'take a social media break.' Many fans seemed to believe he was responding to recent fan comments telling his wife Hailey Bieber, 28, that she 'deserves better' after his 'disrespectful' posts towards her. This comes after fans criticized his 'Mother's Day sucks a**' post on his wife's first Mother's Day since they welcomed their first child, son Jack Blues Bieber, in August 2024. They also pointed out that he recently admitted he previously told Hailey that she would 'never' land a Vogue cover in a since-deleted caption meant to congratulate his wife on that same, recent accomplishment. He also shared the post to his Instagram Story accompanied by Lil Tecca's song OWA OWA, in which he raps about pleasuring his partner and 'making it clear to his significant other that his time and presence should not be taken for granted,' per Genius. One fan commented on the Peaches singer's post and wrote: 'Justin. You told Hailey she couldn't be on a cover of Vogue, isn't that telling her she can't have something?' 'Didn't you just tell this girl she couldn't be on Vogue,' another fan wrote. Similar comments flooded his post. One person asked him: 'Brother didn't you tell your wife she could never be on the cover of Vogue???' Another person added, 'Take a break from social media, Justin.' 'I think you should leave God out of this and grow up,' one Instagram user penned. 'God forbid a girl tell someone they deserve to be happy,' another user added, seemingly referencing Selena Gomez's recent cryptic posts. The singer's ex shared recent posts with interesting timing about 'cheering' people on and wishing she had the 'ability to erase one person's greatest pain.' The former Disney star's social media posts have recently sparked fan speculation that she was secretly sending messages of support for Hailey. 'Justin you need some therapy bro,' another user commented while one fan added, 'Bro this is not twitter.' One user wrote: 'My boy crashing out again?!?' Similar comments flooded his post as fans urged him to take a 'social media break' 'Crashing out online is the worse,' a fan commented about his rant and recent controversial social media posts 'Bro this is not twitter,' one fan added Justin's recent post comes amid concern about not only his marriage but his mental wellbeing regarding his increasingly bizarre behavior. After Hailey's Rhode beauty brand was acquired in a $1 billion deal last week, many fans started telling her to divorce Justin now that she has found fame and fortune on her own. Though many of the posts were apparent jokes, the couple have been entangled in rumors of marital woes while Justin has been on the receiving end of substantial backlash. The pair have been married nearly seven years after they tied the knot in 2018. Last year, they
