Gary Coleman's Ex-Wife Shannon Price to Take Lie Detector Test amid Suspicion Surrounding the Actor's 2010 Death

The new A&E series, Lie Detector: Truth or Deception, digs deeper into the circumstances surrounding Gary Coleman's 2010 death His ex-wife, Shannon Price, voluntarily completed a polygraph test for the show after years of public speculation about her involvement in the death The two-hour premiere airs Thursday, July 10 at 9 p.m. on A&EThe search for answers surrounding Gary Coleman's 2010 death is continuing. The new A&E series, Lie Detector: Truth or Deception, will put the late actor's ex-wife, Shannon Price, in the hot seat. The two-hour premiere, hosted by investigative journalist Tony Harry, is set to air on July 10, more than 15 years after Coleman died inside the Utah home that he and Price shared. 'Coleman's ex-wife Shannon Price agrees to take a polygraph test to address persistent public suspicion regarding her potential involvement in his death, even though she was never charged in connection with it,' the logline reads. 'The episode revisits the circumstances surrounding Coleman's passing and explores whether Price has been misjudged by public opinion — or whether the results raise new questions.' The Diff'rent Strokes star and Price got married in August 2007, but divorced the following year, although they continued living together. In May 2010, Coleman suffered an intracranial hemorrhage after falling in his kitchen, and two days after being placed in a medically-induced coma, Price removed him from life support. Many people have expressed concerns about her decision in the years since, including his former partner Anna Gray, who claimed in a Peacock documentary that Coleman 'had an advanced healthcare directive where he stated he wanted at least two weeks of care before any plugs were pulled." Price also participated in the special, which aired in February and was titled GARY. She stated that she was in bed when she asked Coleman, who was born with a congenial kidney defect, to make her food after he got home from dialysis. After hearing a 'big loud boom,' she explained that she found Coleman, who was 42 years old at the time, in a pool of blood on the kitchen floor. In a recording of her 911 call reporting the incident, Price could be heard refusing to listen to the operator's instructions to help her former husband. Price has vehemently denied any wrongdoing, saying in the documentary that she 'would never hurt my husband, ever.' In an interview later that month, Inside Edition Chief Correspondent Jim Moret asked Price why she didn't 'try to help Gary after he fell.' 'You know, I did help him,' Price replied. 'I actually had to run around looking for a towel because we didn't have any in the downstairs bathroom.' 'What people have to understand and realize is this is the first real traumatic situation I ever had to witness,' she added. In 2010, Santaquin Police Chief Dennis Howard told PEOPLE that 'there was absolutely nothing suspicious about [Coleman's] death' and 'there was 'no [criminal] investigation going on.' Coleman's death certificate also listed his manner of death as an 'accident.' Summoned Again In Formula E Case, KTR's "Lie Detector Test" Dare To Revanth Reddy

Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao has been issued a summons, once again, to appear before the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in connection with the alleged irregularities in the Hyderabad Formula E case. KTR, as he is popularly known, has been asked to appear before the ACB at 10 am on Monday. Reacting to the summons, KTR said the Congress government was trying to keep people busy with a circus and distractions because they cannot run a government. He said the Congress and its "clown Chief Minister's antics won't deter us". KTR said he was being investigated in the Formula-E case, where Rs 44 crore was "transferred from one bank to another, and the money was very much in the account of Formula E". The BRS leader said as a law-abiding citizen, he would fully cooperate with the probe officials, but took a dig at the Chief Minister, referring to a case in which he is facing an ACB probe too. "Mr Revant Reddy, as we both are facing an ongoing ACB investigation, why not both of us take a Lie Detector test in the presence of a Judge, broadcast it on Live Television and let the whole of Telangana decide who's the culprit. Do you have the courage to take the test along with me #BagMan? he posted on X. "Why waste crores of public money by repeated enquiries and propaganda, especially when you keep claiming every day that the state is bankrupt," he asked. Significantly, KTR's sister and BRS MLC K Kavitha has posted support to her brother on X, posting that she strongly condemned the repeated issuance of notices to "our working president @KTRBRS as part of political agenda". She said, "No matter how many conspiracies you hatch, we will continue to expose your failures in the public sphere." Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar reacted to KTR's post on X, saying it reflects his deep, visceral personality and his current mindset. "Calling commissions of inquiry established by due process of law, or the judicial system of India 'a waste of public money...' is the same ignorance as your father who wanted to "rewrite entirely" the Constitution of India drafted by intellectual giants like Babasaheb Dr BR Ambedkar and a pantheon of greats, and the founding fathers of the nation," he said. "The problem of thinking you are the state is not only wrong, illegal, immoral, but also medieval, patriarchal and feudal. You are not the state. No individual is above the law. Don't you get it at all? Of course, you don't! Your unbridled, unrestrained arrogance from stolen money and corruption is so deep that even 18 months have not been enough for a reality check?" The Congress leader mocked KTR for claiming that the BRS which would win 100 seats, whereas they did not get even 40. He said KTR had claimed that they would decide the next government at the Centre, whereas the people of Telangana had given them no seats.

Ed Sheeran accidentally drops a bombshell about Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco's wedding, fans can't believe the slip-up; here's what he said

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco were trying their best to keep their wedding plans airtight. However, a slight slip-up by Ed Sheeran has got fans buzzing. Despite the fact that the couple has stated that they are "in no rush" to marry, Ed Sheeran dropped a bombshell about the couple's wedding plans. When did Ed Sheeran accidentally spill the wedding news? During a light-hearted lie detector interview for Vanity Fair, Ed Sheeran casually confirmed his RSVP to the couple's big day. Fans were outraged by a casual remark about the secretive ceremony. He revealed that Gomez and Blanco have mailed "save-the-date" cards, confirming their secret wedding plans, as per a report by the Daily Mail. Sheeran acknowledged, as he was connected to a polygraph machine for the 'Lie Detector' series, that he didn't yet have a "favourite" song from Gomez and Blanco's recently released album, I Said I Love You First, which came out in March, despite their close friendship. How close are Ed Sheeran and Benny Blanco behind the scenes? Sheeran, who has long collaborated with Blanco, praised their friendship. Together, Blanco and Sheeran produced "five number ones that were spawned for other artists," such as Halsey's Eastside, Anne-Marie's 2002, and Justin Bieber's Love Yourself. Sheeran's Divide album sold over 40 million copies. Blanco stated in an interview with Daniel Wall's Behind The Wall podcast in March that he had initially intended to accompany Sheeran on tour for a week but had instead decided to stay for two years, as per a report by the Daily Mail. 'It was Ed's most successful album. About 40 million copies were sold. It was among the most successful albums ever,' he stated. 'Love Yourself', which was composed in the middle of the night following a party, is one of their many unexpected hits. Blanco also gave Sheeran credit for his unwavering work ethic. Are Selena and Benny really in a hurry to marry? After announcing their engagement a year later, Gomez and Blanco confirmed their relationship in December 2023. In March 2025, Gomez hinted that they were not in a rush to get married, despite having known each other for more than ten years. When questioned about their wedding plans, the couple told Rolling Stone that they don't currently have any plans to tie the knot. FAQs Has Ed Sheeran confirmed an exact wedding date? No, he only mentioned receiving a "save the date," not a specific day or venue. Are Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco officially engaged? Yes, they announced their engagement in December 2024, after going public with their relationship a year prior.

Quinta Brunson Said She Doesn't "Know White People" And People All Came To One Hilarious Conclusion — But I Think They're Missing Her Point

Quinta Brunson 's recent comments on her proximity to white people have fans reacting as if they're looking directly into the camera during an Abbott Elementary episode. The creator and star of the multi-Emmy-winning series took fans by surprise when she stopped by Amy Poehler's podcast Good Hang with Amy, and had her very own Keke Palmer " Sorry to this man" moment with some notable names in pop culture. Vanity Fair / For those unfamiliar with the iconic phrase, it became a viral meme after Keke appeared on Vanity Fair's Lie Detector segment, where she was asked different questions about her life, as well as identifying different pictures. She was asked if her Nickelodeon character True Jackson VP was a better VP than former US Vice President Dick Cheney, but when they showed a picture of him, Keke drew a blank. "I hate to say it. I hope I don't sound ridiculous. I don't know who this man is. I mean, he could be walking down the street; I wouldn't know a thing. Sorry to this man." Well, this new clip of Quinta is also going viral after she said, "I don't know white people." The revelation came after Quinta's best friend and former BuzzFeed colleague, Kate Peterman, sent in a question for Amy to ask Quinta. She jokingly wondered if Quinta finally realized that Bon Jovi (the band) and lead singer Jon Bon Jovi (real name John Bongiovi Jr.) are rooted in the same person. And while she seemed to hint that she does know the significance of the two, she was never really familiar. "See, I don't know white people," Quinta said. "I know you. I know Tina Fey. I know white people in comedy, okay?" "I just don't know some people. I understand the name Phil Collins. I don't know what Phil Collins looks like." Amy then playfully added, "Sorry to that man." Quinta praised Keke for that moment for being "so on point," because that's how the comedian says she moves through life. She reiterated that if the celeb isn't in the comedy world, she probably won't know who they are. Amy wondered if it was a generational thing, deeming it a form of "gentle rebellion" because she noticed younger people (millennials and younger) don't really feel the need to know the names of the pop culture icons of the past, where as the older generations (boomers and older) were told they needed to, especially if they were working in Hollywood. As the conversation continued, it was made clear that Quinta did not know the difference between Bon Jovi and Jon Bon Jovi, so Amy broke it down for her. "The thing is, I'm supposed to know this, but then I'm supposed to deal with people who can't tell me and Keke Palmer apart." She also wondered how people could say John Bongiovi with ease, but saying her two-syllable name Quinta poses so much difficulty for some people. The Philadelphia native doubled down on her comments, revealing that she would "mix up" Sandra Bullock and Julia Roberts for the longest time. This is no longer an issue for Quinta, who is now really close with Sandra. Amy playfully suggested that Quinta might suffer from face-blindness, to which Quinta laughed and agreed. "There was no reason for me, as a young girl in Philadelphia, to understand the difference between Sandra Bullock and Julia Roberts. There was no reason for me to know the difference." Well, you know the internet loves a good soundbite, so it didn't take long for a clip of this conversation to go viral, with Quinta's "I don't know white people" as the focus. One tweet received more than 70K likes, 4K reposts, and over 200 comments. 'i dont know white people. i know you, i know tina fey' IM CRYINGGNGJKF — m (@bigIttIeIies) April 8, 2025 Twitter: @bigIttIeIies But there was one thing fans couldn't look past: Quinta was married to a white man: For those who don't know, after three years of marriage, Quinta filed for divorce from sales manager, Kevin Anik, citing "irreconcilable differences." But, like a lot of things on the internet, I think people were focused too much on the "I don't know white people" soundbite without realizing the context of that comment. Quinta wasn't saying she doesn't know any white people in the world. She was referring to white celebrities and white figures in pop culture. It reminds me of the term Blackfamous. It was coined by Michael Harriot of The Root to symbolize how some well-known Black celebrities are household names in the Black community but not necessarily mainstream in white culture. So, in turn, Quinta was saying that these notable white celebs like, Jon Bon Jovi, weren't commonly talked about while she was growing up in Philly, so she didn't really know him or others. So, the same shock you might have felt when hearing she didn't know that New Jersey rock star or how she'd mix up Sandra and Julia, would be the same devastation she'd (and a lot of other Black people) would feel if you didn't know names like Tichina Arnold, Nia Long, Loretta Devina, Wood Harris, or Lorenz Tate. Being mainstream is subjective because it all comes down to the media you consume, which is why it's beautiful to diversify.

UPDATE: Decatur Police Chief Todd Pinion leaving post

Feb. 21—Decatur Police Chief Todd Pinion is leaving his position as chief. "In the near future," Pinion said in a statement Friday night, "I will be stepping aside as Chief of Police. I will remain with the city in another position." Mayor Tab Bowling, after correcting a reporter late Friday night in a text for referring him to as Tab — "I am Mayor Bowling" — said Pinion will remain with the Police Department. "This decision was made by Chief Pinion. He will remain with the department he has faithfully served for what I believe is 23 years. Chief Pinion kindly agreed to continue serving as Chief until an Interim Chief is selected," Bowling texted at 10:15 p.m. Friday night. "He is one of two in our Police Department who is certified for conducting Lie Detector test. He will also do special investigations for various departments throughout the City, along with other duties as needed. 23 years of experience in Policing is a valuable asset. We are thankful that Todd is willing to continue helping our Police Department." Council President Jacob Ladner, who recently has led a push to oust Pinion from the chief's position, on Friday night said in a text, "I would just say I appreciate Chief Pinion's service to the PD and the City. Our focus now needs to be moving forward." Pinion's press release praised the department whose leadership he's leaving. "Life brings many difficult decisions," he wrote. "I am faced with one today. I have loved serving as your Police Chief. I look back over the past three years and see a number of significant accomplishments — accomplishments I believe have made Decatur a better place to live and work." Pinion said the department under him had the lowest crime rate in 20 years, record amounts of drugs off the streets, improved officer morale and CALEA accreditation "Please understand that it is not easy to pursue such challenging goals for a city the size of Decatur without the support of our top leadership, our city council," Pinion wrote. "I have heard that this city cannot move forward while I remain Chief. This is only an excuse. Without a doubt, this excuse undermined our forward progress on such important things as community policing, crime prevention, officer recruitment and retention, and many of the items I shared last year in my executive plan. "After much prayer and consideration, I have decided it is in the best interest of the city and my family to take away that excuse so healing can begin immediately." He directed many of his comments to police officers. "The work you do is not easy and is often questioned," he wrote. "Stay committed to who you are and don't listen to the critics, especially those who don't understand our job. What makes DPD special is its people. I know the resilience of our department, and I expect you to stay committed to this city we all protect and serve. "This is a highly trained, professional department and I can say, without a doubt, this department loves this city and the work they do for you. Again, thank you for the opportunity to serve you in this role. It has been one of the greatest honors of my life." Pinion, 46, has been under fire for his leadership since the Sept. 29, 2023, fatal shooting of Steve Perkins by a police officer. He has also been criticized for his communication to the public in the wake of the shooting and his handling of his officers' reactions to protests about Perkins' death. Responding further to being addressed as "Tab," Bowling texted: "You chose your path of how you would address the mayor of the city. And you continue to write against articles against a healthy city that I have been a part of leading to a brighter future, with the help of Senator Orr, Representatives Collins and Moore along with Congressman Strong and Senator Britt." — eric@ or 256-340-2435
