Lethbridge police say two people were arrested and a firearm was seized following a high-risk arrest earlier this week.
Police say one of the accused was wanted on outstanding warrants stemming from a home invasion robbery.
Officers spotted him on Monday in the passenger seat of a vehicle parked in an alley in the 2500 block of 14 Avenue North.
Members of the tactical unit approached the vehicle, but the man took off on foot, running through a backyard and into the street before being taken into custody.
Police say the driver and a passenger in the back seat were arrested without incident.
A search of the vehicle led to the seizure of a loaded gun, found on the floor of the passenger seat, ammunition and a knife.
A 37-year-old Calgary man is facing numerous charges, as is a 33-year-old Lethbridge man.
Both remain in police custody pending release hearings.
The passenger in the back seat was released without charges.
