Mera Baap Chara Chor: Lalu, Tejashwi Targeted Over Fodder Scam Ahead Of Bihar Polls
With Assembly elections looming in Bihar, political rivalry has spilled onto the streets in a no-holds-barred poster war. A provocative poster that appeared near Patna's busy Income Tax intersection on Saturday has triggered a fresh war of words between the ruling and opposition parties. The poster depicts Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad and his son, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, seated on a buffalo -- Tejashwi in front and Lalu behind, chewing grass. The caption reads: 'Mera Baap Chara Chor, Mujhe Vote Do' (My father is a fodder thief, vote for me) -- a direct and mocking reference to Lalu Yadav's conviction in the fodder scam. While no group has claimed responsibility, the poster has sparked sharp reactions. RJD supporters have expressed anger over what they view as a deeply personal and indecent political attack. The party, however, has not yet issued an official response. Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, responding to the controversy during an International Yoga Day event, doubled down on the criticism. 'Lalu Yadav has been declared a banned criminal by the Supreme Court. The fodder scam was committed by him. So, where is the second opinion on this? All courts have said he is a fodder thief,' he said. In retaliation, the RJD has launched its own poster campaign, this time accusing the ruling NDA of nepotism. Posters have appeared at several places depicting NDA leaders such as Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, State Minister Ashok Choudhary, and the late Ram Vilas Paswan alongside their sons-in-law. The posters mockingly label the alliance as the 'National Damaad Commission' (National Sons-in-Law Commission), accusing it of nepotism. The escalating poster war -- laced with sarcasm, personal jibes, and viral slogans -- reflects the high-stakes atmosphere ahead of the polls.

"Rain Of Lies": Lalu Yadav Posts AI Video Of PM Modi, Nitish Kumar Dancing
New Delhi: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Yadav today released a 'Bihar AI' parody video taking swipes at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a visit to the state where the assembly election is scheduled to be held later this year. The video has a mix of lookalikes created using artificial intelligence software and genuine footage from PM Modi's public events. A song that accompanied the video repeatedly mentioned the words "jumlo ki baarish" - a familiar line that the Opposition has been using while criticising PM Modi and his party, BJP. "Weather warning in the interest of Bihar - today, there will be heavy rain of lies, false promises and illusions in Bihar, hailstones of false and tempting promises along with thunder, be careful," Lalu Yadav wrote in Hindi in the post on X. The video also features AI lookalikes of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and PM Modi dancing together in rain and in front of a bridge that had crumbled. Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal (United), or JD(U), is a member of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The JD(U) was also briefly with the opposition's Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) before he returned to the NDA family. Tejashwi Yadav, the RJD MLA and Lalu Yadav's son, was portrayed in the video as a leader who helped the common people. In one scene, an AI rendition of Tejashwi Yadav was shown helping an old woman pick up a heavy cane basket full of fruit. #Bihar #TejashwiYadav #RJD — Lalu Prasad Yadav (@laluprasadrjd) June 20, 2025 The RJD's parody video comes amid PM Modi's fresh attack alluding to Lalu Yadav over the RJD chief's alleged insult to BR Ambedkar during his birthday celebrations recently. At a rally in Bihar's Siwan today, PM Modi referred to the instance of a portrait of BR Ambedkar being placed close to the feet of Lalu Yadav, for which the RJD leader has been drawing criticism from the NDA. "Ambedkar was against dynasty rule. But they (RJD and its allies) do not like it. So they have his portrait placed at their feet. On my way, I saw posters demanding an apology for this insult to Babasaheb," PM Modi said at the Siwan rally. "But there has been no apology. This is because they hold Dalits in contempt. In contrast, Modi has Babasaheb in his heart and would like to keep his portrait close to his chest," the Prime Minister said. The RJD said the controversy began due to the "camera angle" at Lalu Yadav's house while his 78th birthday celebration was going on earlier this month. The party said Lalu Yadav's feet were on a sofa because of "medical advice", and a party supporter stood close carrying the portrait of BR Ambedkar.

PM Modi Expected To Fire Ambedkar Salvo At Lalu From Bihar's Siwan Today: Sources
Last Updated: A viral video shows Lalu Yadav, when gifted a photograph of BR Ambedkar, not only failed to acknowledge it but also placed it near a chair on which he stretched his leg. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will return to the election-bound state of Bihar on Friday, where he is expected to address the ongoing Ambedkar Row, which has significantly impacted Bihar's political landscape. Sources indicate that Modi will likely criticise the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) for allegedly disrespecting BR Ambedkar's photograph on party chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's birthday. A viral video shows that Yadav, when gifted the photograph, not only failed to acknowledge it but also appeared to place it disrespectfully near a chair on which he stretched his leg. The Prime Minister's visit to Bihar comes days after a letter from the National Commission for Scheduled Castes to the state's Chief Secretary, seeking information on the actions taken regarding the incident. The letter demands details within 15 days, including the sections under which the FIR has been filed and whether any arrests have been made, thereby heightening pressure on the Yadav family. ये 'चित्र' नहीं, आरजेडी का 'चरित्र' है। #ShameOnLaluFamily #DalitVirodhiRJD #BabasahebAmbedkar — BJP Bihar (@BJP4Bihar) June 15, 2025 Previously, the Bihar SC Commission also issued a notice to Lalu Yadav for allegedly insulting Dr BR Ambedkar on his birth anniversary. The Congress and RJD have previously accused the BJP of being anti-Dalit and fearmongering about the eradication of the reservation system, which cost the BJP seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, with the party losing nine seats in Bihar and 28 in Uttar Pradesh. According to a 2022 caste-based survey, Scheduled Castes (SCs) make up 19.65 per cent and Scheduled Tribes (STs) 1.68 per cent of Bihar's population. With over 20 per cent of Bihar's population potentially angered by the RJD and Congress, the BJP sees an opportunity to capitalise on this sentiment just before the elections. Consequently, the BJP has deployed key leaders, including Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Ravi Shankar Prasad, and Bhupendra Yadav, to target Lalu Yadav and the RJD. All eyes will be on the Prime Minister as he visits Siwan, Bihar, to lay the foundation stone and inaugurate several development projects, encompassing water, rail, and power sectors. The Prime Minister is expected to unveil projects worth over Rs 10,000 crore, including the launch of a Vande Bharat Express train that will connect Pataliputra in Bihar with Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh. "Kab maafi maangoge": BJP puts up posters in Patna demanding apology from Lalu Prasad Yadav over BR Ambedkar row
Patna (Bihar) [India], June 17 (ANI): Hitting out at Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday put up posters in Patna attacking him for allegedly disrespecting Dr BR Ambedkar during his birthday celebrations. The posters attacking Lalu Prasad Yadav in Patna read, '7 din hone ko hai, kab maafi maangoge Lalu Yadav aur Tejashwi Yadav' (It is about to be 7 days now, Lalu Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav, when will you apologise?). Controversy erupted after Lalu Prasad Yadav was seen cutting his 78th birthday cake with a sword, drawing criticism from BJP leaders who claimed it symbolised disregard for democratic values and Ambedkar's legacy. On Monday, Union Minister Giriraj Singh demanded an apology from Lalu Prasad Yadav for 'insulting' Dalits. Speaking to reporters, Singh said, 'RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav has revealed his true mindset towards Dalits... He has insulted Babasaheb Ambedkar. He must apologise to the Dalits of the country for this act of disrespect. Not just an apology -- he should go to the banks of the Ganga and repent for his actions...' Earlier on Sunday, June 15, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary hit out at the RJD chief on the issue, accusing him of displaying arrogance. He further slammed the RJD chief, noting that no one has seen such an arrogant leader to date and that Yadav and his party workers should apologise for the disrespect shown to Ambedkar.'No one has ever seen a leader as arrogant as Lalu Yadav to date. If he or any of his workers make a mistake regarding Babasaheb Ambedkar, they should apologise. He is arrogant. He continues to act arrogantly and humiliate everyone. Such arrogant leaders should abandon their pride,' Choudhary said. Meanwhile, addressing the issue, former Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing its leaders of having no connection with BR Ambedkar, the Constitution, or reservation policies, while defending his father and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav. 'These (BJP) people have nothing to do with Baba Saheb, the Constitution, and Reservation. Lalu Yadav has installed many statues of Baba Saheb Ambedkar in Bihar. We are the people who believe in Ambedkar's ideology. The BJP only spread lies,' Tejashwi asserted. 'Lalu Yadav works for 10 hours at the age of 78 and meets people. He is ill but still they accuse him of such things,' he further highlighted. (ANI)
