Pride PH announces Pride March 2025 to be held in UP Diliman on June 28
Pride PH has officially announced that this year's Pride March and Festival, dubbed LOV3LABAN 2025, will be held on June 28 in the University of the Philippines Diliman in Quezon City. The announcement was made on Pride PH's official Facebook account. 'Yes… sa UP DILIMAN ang puksaan sa susunod na buwan,' the organization wrote. Held annually in June, Pride events in the Philippines empower the LGBTQ+ community by creating safe spaces where their gender expressions and identities are celebrated, stories are respected, and their rights are recognized. It also serves as a protest against the abuse and injustices the community faces. In 2024, the Love Laban 2 Everyone or the Pride PH Festival at the Quezon City Memorial Circle saw 228,000 attendees. However, the event was canceled later that evening due to the heavy rains and 'compromised sound and electrical systems' for the concert. After the cancellation, Pride PH held a thanksgiving event on June 30, 2024. —Hermes Joy Tunac/CDC, GMA Integrated News
